*Around 6 am in the morning*
My eyes snapped open when I heard the alarm ringing, indicating it was already six in the morning. I yawned tiredly and was about to get up from the bed when I felt something around my waist weighing me down.
I looked down to see Jason's arm wrapped tightly around my waist. I turned to face him and saw his eyes was tightly shut, he was still deep asleep. Deciding not to wake him up, I tried to move his arms slowly so I would stand up but he had other plans.
He tightened his grip on my waist and pulled me closer to him and made my back rest on his chest.
"Trying to run away from me wifey??" I heard him say. I shivered as his manly breath fanned my ear. He was just asleep right now. How come he is awake?? He tuned me to face him.
"Good morning." He added as he pecked my lips softly and gave me a breathtaking smile, showing off his dimples. One of his facial characteristics that had drawn me to him to him when we had first met.
"Morning." I answered as I smiled back at him.
"Where were you running off to?" He asked as he lifted himself up so he could stay above me but was careful enough not to rest his full weight on me.
"It's 6 am already. I wanted to help you prepare for work. You know you have an important meeting to attend to this morning." I reminded.
His eyes dilated in surprise as he started at the wall clock at the edge of our room.
"Shoot!!" He exclaimed as he jolted out of the bed.
"Why didn't you wake me up??" He asked.
"You're awake now." I said as I also stood up from the bed. He took off his clothes and practically ran into the bathroom making me chuckle.
I left the room and went to the kitchen to prepare a quick breakfast for him. I wanted to him tea and toast since that's the fastest meal to make this morning. I opened the fridge to pick up some of the things I would need when an irritating smell reached my nose.
My eyes searched around frantically to see what was smelling so bad till I saw the fresh fish I had bought yesterday. I picked it up and noticed that it hadn't spoilt yet but the smell emitting from it was enough to make me puke.
I couldn't hold myself back so I dropped the fish and rushed to the toilet. I held my tummy as I puked out all the food I had eaten last night.
When I was done, I flushed the toilet and washed my face.
"Are you alright?" I heard Jason's concerned voice as he walked into the toilet.
"Yes. Just an abnormal reaction to the fish in the fridge." I answered as I used my fingers to brush my messy hair.
"But you bought them yesterday. How come they've gotten spoilt already??" He asked.
"I don't know." I muttered and was about to leave the toilet when I felt another wave of nausea hit me.
I ran towards the cubicle and puked my gut out while Jason patted me slowly on my back to help. When I was done, he helped me walk back into the room. I sat tiredly on the bed as I felt a pounding headache coming.
"Are you sure you are alright?? You weren't this sick last night." Jason said worriedly as he felt my temperature.
"I'm fine. It will soon pass." I answered, brushing off the uneasiness I was feeling.
"How about you go to the hospital for a check up so we can know what is wrong." Jason suggested.
"There is no need for that. I will be alright." I answered as I tried to stand up but plumped back on the bed when another migraine hit me. I held my head as I groaned in pain.
"That's it. I'm taking you to the hospital." Jason said and was about to pick up his car keys when I held him back.
"Have you forgotten about the meeting you have today?" I asked.
"I'll drop you off at the hospital before going to the office." He answered.
"But you'll be late." I answered.
'That's not a problem." "Jason, why don't you head there. I'll go to the hospital myself." I suggested.
"Tasha…"
"Just listen to me." I cut him off.
"Okay. Make sure to go to the hospital." He said.
"Yeah yeah.. I have heard you already." I answered tiredly as I laid back on the bed so the migraine would pass. He placed a peck on my forehead before heading back into the bathroom.
I closed my eyes to take a short nap but didn't know when I drifted into a very deep slumber. By the time I woke up, it was already in the afternoon.
I quickly stood up and rushed into the bathroom to take a quick bath. After that, I put on new set of clothes, picked up my purse and left the house.
I boarded a taxi and headed to the hospital. I doctor attended to me. She asked me a few questions and conducted a test on me.
Some minutes later, she came back with a paper on her hand.
"So what's wrong with me doctor? Is it something serious??" I asked.
"No Mrs. Reed. Quite the contrary." She answered with a smile as she handed me the paper she was holding.
My eyes dilated in shock as I read the contents.
"Doctor.. please tell me that what I'm seeing is true. Please tell me I'm not dreaming." I said as I felt happiness bubble in me.
"What you just read is reality. You are five weeks pregnant." She answered.
I didn't know when tears started forming in my eyes. After three years of waiting, God finally answered our prayers.
The doctor was still talking but I wasn't listening to what she was saying. All that was on my mind was how I would break the news to Jason. How happy he would be.
The doctor prescribed some drugs to me and congratulated me again. I thanked her and walked out of her office.
I picked up my phone and dialed Jason's number but he wasn't picking. I figured out that he might still be busy as it is so I decided to head to his office to break the news to him. He would be so happy.
I boarded a taxi to his workplace and got there in no time. As I walked in, the workers around greeted me. They all knew me as Jason's wife because I always visited his workplace.
I walked to his office and noticed that his secretary wasn't at her post. Are they still at the meeting?? I decided to wait for him in his office. I had almost opened the door when I heard noises coming from the office.
I felt a tight knot formed in my stomach when I realized what the noises were. I hoped deeply that what I was thinking wasn't what was happening. I pushed open the door and stood dumbstruck as reality hit me.
I saw my darling husband ramming his ... deeply into his secretary. They were deeply engrossed in the pleasure that they didn't even notice my presence.
"What the hell is going on here???" I said as I couldn't bear to watch them anymore.
"Tasha??" Jason said in shock as he pulled out his dick from her.
"What are you doing here??" He asked as he struggled to put on his pants.
The whore too quickly put on her blouse and skirt.
"I caught you cheating on me and the first thing you could say is ask what I am doing here??" I asked angrily.
"It isn't what it looks like." He said.
"It is what it looks like. How long has this been going on??" I asked.
"Tasha baby…." "Don't baby me. I asked you a fucking question. How long has this been going on???" I asked again, this time louder.
"For about two years now." The whore whose name is Sarah answered.
"Why would you say that??" Jason asked her.
"She deserved to know." She replied.
"Get out!!" He screamed at her and she ran out of the room immediately.
I felt my chest tightened as I felt pain, anger, hurt and betrayal all at once.
"Two years….. two years when all I have done was love and trust you. This is how you chose to repay me??" I croaked out as tears streamed down my face.
"I'm sorry." Was the only thing he could mutter.
"I loved you Jason. Why would you do this to me? Wasn't my love enough for you? Or is it because I couldn't bear you a child?" I asked.
"What?? No. It isn't like that." He answered as he shook his head.
"Then what was the dama reason?? Why would you waste all those years we spent together..... all those hardships we went through together???" I asked again.
"I was just swayed momentarily. I didn't mean for any of it to come this far." He answered.
"Swayed momentarily." I muttered with a soft chuckle.
"Yes Tasha... That's all it was." He said.
"You have been fucking that whore for two years and you're telling me that you were just swayed momentarily!!!" I screamed out.
"Calm down. You don't want others to hear what's going on here, this is a private discussion." He muttered as he tried to touch me but I didn't let him.
"What?? You don't want others to find out that you have been fucking your secretary behind your wife's back??" I asked, mockery evident in my voice.
"Tash…."
"You asked me why I was here. Well, I came to give you this." I muttered as I threw the pregnancy result at him.
"You're pregnant." H muttered in shock as he read the contents.
"I am pregnant but guess what, you won't be able to act as a father figure to my baby because I am ending this marriage right here." I said as I pulled off my wedding ring and threw it at his face.
"Wait. Tasha, you can't do this to me…. to us." He muttered as he tried to hold me but I brushed his hands off.
"There is no us anymore. And it is all your fault." I answered and left the office ignoring his calls.
