Chapter 8

Saeer ahmad found the young man sitting on the sofa as he entered the house. he greeted Miraan rohero as he sat down. Hanan also came and sat there. "I am here to take Chashman with me " Miraan said looking in Saeer's eyes. "Your uncle came yesterday. He knows that she isn't ready to go " Saeer ahmad said after clearing his throat. "Make her agree. She belongs there !" Miraan said in a cold voice. Chashman felt her blood boiling hearing her words, her focus was on the conversation, but now she had enough. She opened the door and came there. Mrs Saeer eyes enlarged seeing her come, she knew Chashman's anger very well. "I belong here, you hearing me!!!! stop making my life miserable and now get out of my house!!!" Chashman all but shouted, her face was red with anger. she had enough of all this. Hanan quickly got up to take her away, he tried to hold her arm, but Chashman wasn't having it. A cold smile tilted Miraan's lips. He got up and came near Chashman, " i haven't done anything to make it miserable... yet. It will be better if you agree soon, otherwise i have my own ways. you have a day to think it through " Miraan said looking at her, he was letting her feel the full impact of his dark gaze, her heart clenched but she didnt avert her eyes. Miraan stopped a full blown real smile from coming on his lips. she was brave! but then he should have expected it, she was a daughter of his family. "Chari chokri( crazy girl)" he muttered as he headed out of the house without saying another word. Chashman let out a shaking breathe once he was out. "He was clearly warning us.... " Hanan said. "To hell with his warning! i am not going to be scared of him ! " Chashman said still shaken. Saeer ahmad got up, everyone acted normal after that, but it didnt last long when their neighbour came in the evening, asking about all the cars and guards. "I was just worried, they all had guns, was their any problem? we should stay away from such people, we belong to middle class families, our lives don't hold any importance in their lives. police wont even do anything about them " the lady said all by herself making guesses. Anniversary was long forgotten. Saeer ahmad was worried, he had seen that Miraan wasn't lenient like his uncle, he seemed cruel with all the coldness and ruthlessness in his eyes. Saeer ahmad was worried for his families and Chashman could feel it clearly and it made her think a lot of things...... At night, she was in bed alone, when she got a call from a private number. she picked it up with a frown. Who could be calling her at that time. "Hello?" she asked in a low voice. "Assalam u alaikum" Miraan said. he was standing in the balcony of his room. A hand was placed on the railing as he looked up at the sky. "Who is it ?" Chashman asked as her frown deepened . she couldn't recognize his voices. "Forgot so soon ? i have given you only one day to think " Miraan said with a smirk in his voice. "You can give me a whole life, my answer will be same ! " Chashman said in a fierce tone. it only took seconds for her to get angry. "Don't challenge me Chashman! your cousin will get into a deadly accident and there wont even be a case......" Miraan said in a low town. "Stop making threats!!!! " Chashman growled sitting up in bed, but Miraan heard the slight vulnerability in her voice right away. "I am not asking for much! just come for a few days. i will get you back here myself. just for a couple of days , come to Jamshoro " he said in a more comforting tone. "What will you gain from a few days ?" Chashman asked. "Dada Saeen wants to meet you, just come for a few days " Miraan said and Chashman stayed silent. she had a lot to think about, her uncle loved her a lot but he also had a family to think about..... and she didnt want to be the one causing any pain to the family who had given her nothing but love her whole life....... "Okay .... " Miraan heard her utter in a low voice. "I will come to pick you up at noon " Miraan said and ended the call. tears fell from her eyes, she had no good expectations from her father's family but this was really it. they had succumbed to threatening just to get her there where they wanted and she ... she was so weak. she was doing what they wanted, even though she was loathing herself because of it.
