Chapter 145 Yu Lao's Entrustment
"Grandpa!" Cried Charlee Ford softly, and hurried over.
William Bryan closed the iron gate behind her.
Charlee Ford jumped over and picked up Maggie's grandpa, who was sleeping on the ground, and held him in his arms.
The old man in his arms is much thinner than six months ago. He is skinny and seems to have no weight, and all his bones are chrome in his arms.
What saddens Charlee Ford most is that when Maggie's grandpa was tied up, it should be spring, and he was only wearing a thin coat.
And this only coat is also infected by the damp and cold environment around it.
"Grandpa, grandpa?" Charlee Ford shook Maggie's grandpa in his arms in an attempt to wake him up.
However, the old man just closed his eyes and did not respond.
She guessed if Grandpa was ill during this time, so she reached out and planned to give Grandpa a pulse.
Her hand touched Magie's grandpa's and was startled by the cold temperature.
"Move fast." William Bryan said over her head.
Lydia Collins doesn't know when he will come after dinner, and if the village head sees that his son hasn't come back for so long, he will be suspicious.
"Grandpa seems to have fainted due to illness. I will find a way to treat him temporarily." Charlee Ford said without looking up.
When she finished speaking, she pulled out a silver needle from her cuff and took out a medicine given by her master from her bag.
Although William Bryan already knew that Charlee Ford was a magic doctor, seeing her apply needles with her own eyes still produced a strong impact.
Charlee Ford gave Maggie's grandpa several injections and fed him the pills.
Before long, Maggie's grandpa suddenly coughed violently twice, took a deep breath, and finally his wrinkled eyelids opened slowly!
"Grandpa!" Charlee Ford had a look of surprise on his face.
When Maggie's grandpa saw his granddaughter, his cloudy eyes were instantly filled with tears, and his haggard hand grasped hers.
"Ahem..." Magie's grandpa coughed twice.
Charlee Ford hurriedly asked William Bryan to bring the water for Grandpa to drink twice, and caressed his chest to slow him down.
"Girl, why are you here?" Maggie's grandpa asked in a hoarse voice.
"I'll save you home, grandpa, you won't have to live this hard life in the future!" As soon as Charlee Ford opened his mouth, there was a trace of crying in his voice.
William Bryan frowned subconsciously.
He saw this woman crying for the first time.
She was a heartless image in his mind, and now suddenly seeing her tears, he suddenly thought that this woman is better to laugh than to cry.
Charlee Ford and William Bryan helped Maggie's grandpa to go outside.
At this moment, the two men keenly heard a burst of footsteps approaching from outside.
The two men looked at each other: "People are coming."
"More than six."
"You take Yu Lao in and hide first." William Bryan said coldly.
Charlee Ford twisted his eyebrows. "What about you?"
William Bryan: "Leave it to me."
He said with a blank face, but there was a convincing force between words.
Charlee Ford hesitated and finally chose to believe William Bryan.
She has to protect grandpa.
So she pulled Maggie's grandpa aside to hide.
The iron gate was opened from the outside, and the village chief came in with Lydia Collins and a group of strong men behind him. They looked at William Bryan with fierce faces, and each had a stick in his hand.
"William Bryan?" Lydia Collins looked up in surprise. "Why are you here?"
At first, the eldest son of the village head came to report that someone broke in the secret room, and she thought it was from Charlee Ford.
William Bryan glanced at her coldly. "Don't talk nonsense. I want to take Yu Lao away today. Do you want to let go or not?"
The surprise on Lydia Collins's face turned into anger: "William Bryan, as the ruler of the Bryans, you can't be so foolish with Charlee Ford. Isn't it good to cooperate with me the Collins?"
William Bryan pursed her lips and said nothing.
When Lydia Collins saw it, he circled around: "Charlee Ford must be here, come out!"
Charlee Ford helped Maggie's grandpa and lowered himself.
"Since you toast and don't eat and drink, don't blame me for being impolite!" Lydia Collins said and raised his chin at the village head. "This man can't die, Charlee Ford, he can die."
The village head instantly understood and waved to the strong men: "Take it alive!"
Everyone swarmed.
Magie's grandpa looked anxiously at the back. He took Charlee Ford's hand and tried to push her out. "Girl, you and the Bryans Kid run quickly. As long as you don't take me, you can definitely run away."
Charlee Ford was anxious, too, but how could she run without Magie's grandpa?
"Grandpa, what silly things you said, I finally found you!"
"Girl, don't worry about me. The dragon family can't ask the whereabouts of the treasure. They dare not take anything from me." Maggie's grandpa said quickly.
He said, sighed, and said: "I have been conceited and intelligent all my life, but I didn't expect to be planted in the hands of my family, but I am satisfied that you can save me to the death, girl!"
Magie's grandpa said, suddenly reaching out his hand and tearing down the white T-shirt he wore inside.
"Grandpa?!" Charlee Ford spoke in surprise.
"The secret of the treasure is hidden here, and it must not fall into the hands of the dragon family!" Maggie's grandpa thrust the cloth quickly into Charlee Ford's hand.
"I am worthy of anyone in my life. I have also kept what is the Fords. Charlee, Grandpa is satisfied!" Maggie's grandpa said contentedly.
"Grandpa..." Charlee Ford's nose was sour.
Maggie's grandpa patted her hand to show relief.
When she had no time to respond, he suddenly got up and said to Long Sheng, who was standing at the door: "I can tell you the whereabouts of the treasure, provided that you let the girl and the Bryans boy leave safely!"
Lydia Collins raised his hand to stop the others.
She frowned and thought for a moment, then nodded gladly. "Well, I didn't intend to kill them, but you must tell me the whereabouts of the treasure first."
Charlee Ford took Yu Lao: "I must take my grandfather with me today."
"Girl, obey!" Maggie's grandpa grabbed her hand. "Go quickly! I'll be fine!"
"Don't!"
"Only when you live, it is possible that the treasure will not fall into the hands of the dragon family! Obedient!" Maggie's grandpa emphasized it again with a frown, pushing Charlee Ford out seriously.
Lydia Collins, however, was keenly aware of the meaning between his words.
"What do you mean, old thing? You're lying to me?" Lydia Collins flew into a rage instantly.
"If I can't get it, neither can you the Bryans and the Fords!" Lydia Collins sneered and turned to wink at the village chief.
Several people hurriedly backed out.
Charlee Ford frowned and went to William Bryan's side. "What's the situation?" Why did they all run away?
