Chapter 47 Pay Back
At 11:30 p.m., Charlee Ford arrived in LA. She was familiar with climbing over the wall, avoiding the monitoring of the Bryans' old house, and returned to her room.
After knocking on the door and entering, she saw a man just like herself in disguise lying on the sofa playing with his mobile phone.
Seeing her, his eyes flashed a surprise: "Your camouflage skills are better than mine."
If he did not know the identity of the woman in front of him, he might not be able to connect her with the woman who pretends to be crazy and stupid.
"Thank you, this is your reward," Charlee Ford took a card out of his bag and handed it to him expressionless.
The man nodded and took the card. Before leaving, he said to her, "Your task is quite simple. No one has come to see you these two days except for delivering meals."
There was a hint of mockery in his tone.
As if to say: You are so poor, no one in this family cares about you.
After the man left, Charlee Ford was confused and went downstairs. It was already midnight, and there was no one downstairs.
Didn't Grandpa come to see her in these two days?
With this in mind, she walked to the direction of his lordship of the Bryans room, and when she was halfway there, she stopped suddenly.
A door with several cartoon stickers, completely different from the simple Central European style buildings around, caught Ford's eye.
She looked at the door in doubt for a while, and suddenly remembered that William Bryan had been living in the old house until she was 15 years old, according to the information given to her by Dallas.
Is this his old room?
Her face showed a sense of interest. She took off the ear acupuncture and was going to go in to have a look.
Behind her, a shout suddenly sounded, "What are you doing?!"
Charlee Ford quietly hid the ear acupuncture and turned around to look silly again: "The room is so beautiful, I want to go in and have a look!"
It was the maid of the old house who stopped her. She looked very young and very domineering. "This is the room where the young master lived when he was young, and not everyone can enter it."
Charlee Ford grinned, "I can enter my husband's room. I want to find my husband!"
"There is no husband here. You shameless silly woman, do you really think you can be an aristocrat if you marry the young master?" The maid looked at her carefully.
"A fool who is not as beautiful as I am. If the young master is not kind, why do you think you should marry into our Bryans?"
Charlee Ford looked at her stupidly, his big eyes flashing: "Auntie is bad. Auntie won't let me find my husband."
"Shut up, you have no right to call the young master!" The maid burst out and pushed Charlee Ford away: "Go away, you unlucky woman."
Her eyes were filled with endless hatred.
She came to Bryan old house two years ago to work as a servant. Two years was enough time for her to deeply love such an excellent man as William Bryan.
In her opinion, all the women in the world are not worthy of William Bryan, and only she knows him best.
So she hated Charlee Ford to the bone.
Bryan was not in the old house these two days. She colluded with other servants to leave Charlee Ford alone and was only responsible for sending her some simple meals three times a day to humiliate her so-called Mrs. Bryan.
But she didn't expect that Charlee Ford dared to covet the master's room?
Charlee Ford held her red arm and her eyes were red. "Bad woman, it hurts."
"What are you talking about? How dare you scold me, you fool?" The servant's eyes widened and his chest heaved up and down angrily. "The young master and the lordship are not here. I have the final say in this House. You are dead!"
As she said this, she raised one hand high and was about to fall on Charlee Ford's face.
Charlee Ford's eyes darkened and she was ready to fight back.
At the door came a subtle, almost untraceable sound of footsteps.
Her eyes congealed and she gave up resistance.
"Pa!"
A crisp voice came, and a palm print appeared on Charlee Ford's white face.
The maid slapped her hard, and only in a few seconds, her face swelled rapidly.
She looked at her masterpiece and smiled grimly: "That's right. A fool should be in such a mess."
"I will tell my husband." Charlee Ford spat blood with red eyes.
It's really painful.
"How dare you?! If you dare to say, believe it or not, I will let the young master drive you out?" The servant glared and threatened fiercely.
"Oh? Who are you driving out?" A cold piercing voice suddenly came from behind.
The servant's proud face froze and looked back in disbelief.
William Bryan was in a suit and dress, with a cold and fierce expression, standing behind her and looking at her.
"Young master." The servant was so frightened that her face turned pale for a moment, and she almost knelt under the pressure.
"Raise your head." William Bryan said coldly, "Answer me."
The servant pulled out a smile that was more ugly than crying. "Young master, I was joking with Mrs. Bryan just now."
"Really?" William Bryan walked past her, stood in front of Charlee Ford, looked at the clear palm print on her white face, and his eyes sank again.
Charlee Ford was tearful and wrung her fingers. She looked very wronged: "Dear, how did you come back? This bad woman wants to drive me out..."
She stood there, half delighted and half frightened, looking at William Bryan as if she were afraid that he would really drive her out.
William Bryan was keenly aware that this time, Charlee Ford didn't jump on him as she had seen him before.
It seems that these two days' departure made her feel the sense of alienation.
William Bryan is so upset, and he didn't know why either.
He vented his anger on the maid, "Get out of here, and don't show up in front of me again."
"Young master," when the maid saw that the matter had been revealed and there was no excuse, she said straightly, "I'm just fighting for you. Why should a good man like you marry a fool?"
"It seems that you don't quite understand what I said. In this case," William Bryan sneered, grabbed Charlee Ford's hand and brought her to the servant.
He looked at the servant with oppressive eyes, but said to Charlee Ford, "Slap her."
Charlee Ford's eyes flashed a little surprise.
She knew that William Bryan did not like her, but she did not expect that he was still very protective.
"All right, my husband takes it out for me!"
She doesn't want to miss such a good opportunity.
Charlee Ford did not hesitate to slap the maid in the face. Looking at her red and swollen face, she felt very good.
"Get out!" William Bryan dropped this sentence and dragged Charlee Ford's hand back to the room.
In the room, William Bryan pressed Charlee Ford on the wall with aggressive eyes.
Charlee Ford unconsciously swallowed saliva.
