Chapter 5 Notice of Critical Illness
Looking at the vicious smile on Gina's face, Jenny only felt her heart roll. She raised her hand and hit Gina hard in the face. She was furious and said, "Shut up!"
A figure flashed quickly in front of her eyes. Before Jenny could react, she was pushed away. Then with a "pa" sound, she only felt black at the moment and fainted.
"Bitch! You dare to hit Gina, it seems that I am too kind to you!"
The familiar voice made Jenny's heart ache, and her face was burning, but it was not half as painful as her heartache.
She staggered a few steps, blinked hard, and for a long time, her eyes became clear.
Gina leaned weakly in Willie's arms, with crystal tears in her eyes, sobbing, "Willie, Dad was sent to the emergency room. The doctor gave a notice of critical illness. Mom fainted with fear. I was so scared that I didn't know what to do. I know my sister hates me and doesn't want to see me, but in case anything happens to my father, I...."
As Gina spoke, she choked up, and Willie rushed to comfort her softly.
Jenny, who witnessed all this, wished for the first time that she was blind at once, so that she didn't have to look at such an eyesore.
I don't know how long, the door of the emergency room was opened, Jenny rushed forward immediately, "Doctor, how is my father? Is he all right?"
"The operation was very successful, but the patient has not passed the critical period and has to go to the intensive care unit to continue observation......"
Jenny followed the medical staff and sent Old Joe to the ward. Through the glass window, she looked at the pale Old Joe lying quietly on the ward. Her heart was so empty that she couldn't imagine what would happen if her father was gone.
"Dad...... Dad......"
Gina on her side threw herself in Willie's arms, crying out of breath. She glanced into the ward, lowered her eyes secretly, and there was a touch of cruelty in her eyes. Then, her eyes closed and she fainted.
"Gina--Gina--"
Willie rushed out of the door holding the man who fainted in his arms.
Jenny looked at Willie's hurried back, suppressed the infinite sour feeling in her heart, and sighed.
The next day, Jenny got up early and rushed to the hospital.
At the door of the intensive care unit, a nurse ran out in a hurry and passed Jenny. She said anxiously, "Come on, inform the doctor that the patient's breathing is weak and his heart rate is dropping rapidly. He should be rescued immediately!"
Jenny's heart tightened and she rushed into the ward in three steps and two steps. "Dad, Dad-"
Old Joe in the hospital bed lay motionless, not angry, only the heart rate detector next to him made a short and rapid "drip" sound.
There was a great panic in Jenny's heart. She kept rubbing old Joe's hand, trying to arouse his consciousness, but
"Miss Jenny, we want to give first aid to the patient. Please go out first..."
The nurse helped Jenny, who was kneeling beside the hospital bed. Jenny cried at a loss, "Doctor, doctor, please help my father! Please-"
Outside the door, Jenny leaned against the wall feebly, and time had never been slower, as if it had stagnated.
For a long time, I heard a "creak" and the door was opened. Jenny stood up straight like a conditioned reflex and rushed forward to ask, "Doctor, how is my father? Is he all right?"
Her hopeful eyes were gloomy when she saw the doctor shaking his head slightly.
"Sorry, the patient was not rescued......"
There was a "bang", as if something had collapsed in her heart. Jennie's ears were buzzing. Only the doctor's mouth was constantly opening and closing, but no sound was heard.
"No... no... no--"
Jenny muttered to herself and pushed the doctor away, stumbling in. When she saw the dazzling white on the hospital bed, her eyes turned black and the whole person collapsed.
"Miss Jenny, Miss Jenny--"
The medical staff was in a hurry.
When she woke up, looking at the ceiling overhead, Jenny's mind was blank for a moment.
She rolled her eyes and realized that she was in the hospital ward. She suddenly remembered the scene before her coma and hurried out of bed.
"Willie--"
