YASSY'S POV
Oh, what a sleepless night I've had. I was extremely dizzy. My body ached from my fall on the stairwell, so I couldn't get a good night's sleep last night.
While I was cleaning the stair, Aubrey bumped me and denied that she meant it. She claimed that it was an accident. Luckily , I was in fifth level of the stare at that time and not on the top. But that level really put my body in pain.
I thought they would bring me to the clinic to check my hips and shoulders but it was a dream for me.
The family I had inside this house never showed care for me so, I had no choice but to endure all the pain that I was feeling.
Even though I didn't slept last night, and I am not feeling well, I couldn't use that as an excuse to do my task that was assigned to me, cleaning the house.
So, with all my strength, I stood up from my bed and started doing the chores.
I was washing the dishes when I heard a loud, irritated voice calling my name.
'Yassy?! Yassy!"
As soon as I realized it was Aunt Glenda looking for me, my body trembled.
I started sweating profusely on my forehead and wondered if I had done something wrong again.
While holding the plate, my hands trembled and my heart raced against my chest.
I could hear footsteps approaching and her voice yelling my name continuously.
'Yassy!!!"
Then her face appeared as Aubrey, her daughter led her over to me.
"There's Yassy, mom," Aubrey said, devilishly looking at me.
Aubrey stepped aside, and Aunt Glenda moved toward me and slapped my face so hard that I fell to the floor.
'Ahhh!" I screamed in agony, and tears streamed down my cheeks, leaving a trail of blood at the corner of my lips.
"Aunt Glenda?" I asked, looking at her. Wh…"
"Give me the necklace!" she said as I was still speaking.
Necklace? Aunt Glenda was talking about a necklace and… I didn't know about it.
'Necklace? Aunt Glenda, what necklace?" I said it while holding my cheeks and staring at him.
"Oh, Yassy, come on!" Stop acting as if you don't understand what I'm saying! "Give the necklace to me right now!"
"I'm not sure what you're saying, Aunt Glenda..."
"Liar," Aubrey murmured behind Aunt Glenda, quietly laughing.
Aunt Glenda's foot landed on my head, causing me to collide with the wall behind me.
"I'm sorry, Aunt Glenda, but I have no idea where that necklace is." I said, "I don't have it." I was hoping Aunt Glenda would pay attention to me.
She took the rag and threw it at my face.
While sitting on the floor, I straightened my body and wiped my face with my hands. Not long after, I felt a huge hit in my painful arm, Aunt Glenda took the dish washing detergent and threw at me.
"Please, Aunt Glenda, calm down. I don't have it," I pleaded, begging her to stop hurting me. I was completely depleted of energy. There was no food, only bruises and a tired body. I didn't think I'd be able to stand the pain.
She yanked my painful arm to get me to stand up, which made me scream.
'Ahhh!"
She pressed her right hand against my chin and drew my face closer to her. Fear and cold made my lips tremble, but I tried to explain the truth to her anyway.
"Aunt Glenda, please believe me when I say I don't know the necklace you're looking for..."
"You're a complete liar! Who's going to believe a woman like you?! You're well aware of how valuable that necklace is to Aubrey. Today is the day when the King family will come for Aubrey's arrange marriage with Jayce King! She was suppose to use it but it's gone!" she exclaimed, her teeth clenched.
"I understand, Aunt Glenda..."
'You're attempting to ruin our day! Return the necklace to me if you don't want to die." She concluded as if I had actually taken the necklace. Although I was not the only people here, we also had maids but why I became the only suspect here?
"Poor little thief," Aubrey said with pity and a shake of her head.
But what could I give that I didn't already have?
"I swear I didn't steal the necklace, Aunt Glenda." You won't be able to find the necklace in me even if you kill me. "I don't have it," I said, taking a deep breath.
She pushed my chin, throwing me off balance, and took a step backward.
'Asshole! If you do not give me the necklace, you will undoubtedly die. You know how much it cost! And I am sure you became interested on it. But, don't dare! Give me back the necklace or you'll regret it your whole life."
Aubrey stepped forward and said, 'Why don't you just admit it? Stop denying that you didn't take the necklace. No one will do it, except you."
Am I hearing it for real? After choosing to stay in this villa even I had many ‘despite of', they still had a guts to accuse me?
'I will try to find it," I said and it was the only choice I had that very moment. They won't believe me, Aunt Glenda would only stop nagging at me if I'll show her that necklace.
'Go, stupid girl! Make sure to find it and give it to me . I will just give you thirty minutes for it. I couldn't wait even more, the King family will soon arrive and I want my daughter to wear that."
Thirty minutes? Was death waiting for me? How could I find it? Until now I was clueless where to find it. What a hell!
I was sure that they won't accept my reasons so I just gave them a nod.
