Chapter 3: Sudden Arrival
YASSY'S POV
I felt fear that very moment and I couldn't found any place to hide from them. I didn't know what Aunt Glenda would do to me.
Then, as I expected, the door opened and the enraged face of Aunt Glenda showed to me.
'You, liar! Thief! How could you do this?!" she said and she immediately walked toward me and grabbed my hair then pulled it.
'Ahhh! Aunt Glenda, please stop!" I shouted due to the pain.
'Stop?! Are you insane?! You stole the necklace and you lied to us! What stop are you talking about?!" she answered and dragged me to the floor.
'It is not me! Believe me, Aunt Glenda, not me! I didn't know how that necklace went to my jewelry box!" I explained then she slapped me hardly while Aubrey was behind her.
'Shut up! You, liar!" she yelled at me then pulled my ear and went to the lobby of the mansion and she put me on my knees.
'Aubrey, call all the maids now!" she commanded her daughter and Aubrey immediately followed what her mom told her.
After a few moments, the seven maids of the villa came.
It was funny to think that we had maids but this step-mom of mine treated me the eight maid and did most of the chores. Our maids couldn't hinder her decision on how she treats me because they might get lost their job too and I understand them for that.
'All of you, listen. Look at your Madam Yassy," she said sarcastically then showed then the found necklace.
Maids faces were shocked when they saw the necklace. Yeah, my step-mother did a great job on shaming me.
'Is that your missing necklace, Madam Aubrey?" one of them asked.
Aubrey nodded. Doing a fake pity face in front of them.
'I just want to say a sad truth in front all of you that this Ms. Hanson stole this necklace and this behavior was not to be tolerated," she said.
My ears opened and heard what she stated clearly even if my body was painful. She said that what I did was a thing that cannot be tolerated but… I didn't steal it.
'Laila, get me a pebbles," she commanded.
'Pebbles, Madam Glenda? For what?" the maid replied.
'Stop questioning me! Just get what I am commanding you!" she shouted. The maid trembled and quickly left to get what she wanted.
Then her gaze switched over to me. 'I will make you regret what you did and you will never dare to do it again."
Aubrey walked around me and said, 'You are good with that position, my dear sister. You look like a princess. I suggest that you better stay there and don't stand up anymore." Then she stood in front of me and her eyes was piercing me. If her eyes was a knife, it would definitely already killed me.
After a few minutes, the maid came holding a basin of pebbles.
'Here's the pebbles, Madam Glenda," she said then she handed it to Madam Glenda.
'Asshole! Why are you giving that to me?! Pour it on the floor now!" she commanded and I could sense what she was planning to do.
'On the floor, Madam?" the maid clarified and it was really an insane thing to do to mess the shining floor with a tiny pebbles.
'Are you deaf?! Of course, on the floor! If you don't want, I'll feed you that!" she screamed and it really made me feel uncomfortable to hear those words from her to them. She was so rude! I couldn't stand her! I couldn't imagine how my dad ended up to be with her. He didn't deserve this kind of woman in her life. A totally different woman from my mother.
Well, I didn't just want to judge her but it was the truth. Maybe I could love her too if she treated me too like her own daughter but the fact that she had a fake personality on front of my dad, I could never… ever… replace my mom in my life.
The maid laid down the pebbles on the floor on my right side and after that, Aunt Glenda spoke, 'Yassy."
I looked at her and waited for her words to continue, '…"
'Kneel on that pebbles," she commanded and all of us were surprised except with her daughter who was smiling and looked like the only princess in the hell.
'What? Me? Kneeling on that pebbles?" I asked.
'Faster! Or else I will drag you on that pebbles!" she said in full of anger.
I struggled in standing up and I almost stumble because of the pain of my knees and the weakness of my body. So, one of the maid tried to help me but…
'Don't ever try to help her or I will fire you now!" she said with her eyebrows connected.
The maid immediately stepped forward and bowed down a little. I could see in her eyes that she felt sorry for me but I showed her that I was fine so I tried my best to stand up and went to the pebbles.
I took a lot of courage through inhaling deep and slowly knelt down on the pebbles.
My eyes automatically produced tears because of pain and I couldn't help it.
The maid one by one left us and only the three of us remaining.
The tears was streaming down on my cheeks and my step-mom and step-sister were in front of me, watching me in pain.
'You deserve that, thief! Liar!"
The pebbles were piercing my knee that it almost entered in it. I felt so weak and I want to pass out!
I couldn't almost hear their words.
Aubrey pulled my hair and said, 'You are now, crying, huh? Don't you ever…"
Her words were unfinished yet when a man came in to the hall and said, 'Aubrey?"
'J-jayce? W-what are you doing here?" Aubrey said and her eyes were at its large size.
Jayce King? Aubrey's fiance? Why he arrived too early?
Jayce stepped toward us and Aunt Glenda's enraged face abruptly change to a soft one. While Aubrey immediately removed her trembling hand on my hair and was visible to her face that she was surprised to the early arrival of Jayce.
Why they looked afraid? Were they not proud of their real attitude that was exposed to her fiance, Jayce King?
