Chapter 25
Rhianne's heart is beating loudly as she runs away from the library. She didn't know what happened earlier. The way Andrew stares at her gives a chill down to her spine. If Andrew was just acting to have her sympathy, then Rhianne will feel like she is trying to tame a monster that only waits for the right time to devour her.
Surely, Rhianne told herself that she will help Mr. Villain to grow up into a nice and kind person in the future. But seeing how calculative Andrew is right now, Rhianne didn't know how she will continue her plans. She is still trying to make Mr. Protagonist grow into a wonderful and successful person in the future, but she can't ignore Mr. Villain's existence anymore. If Rhianne will just let Mr. Villain be like this, then her fate will be in danger, whether she fell in love with him or not.
'What if I make Mr. Protagonist and Mr. Villain to become friends?'
Is this a good idea? If these two become friends, then maybe some things will change in a good way. But this is also too risky. What if Mr. Villain will change his plans? Instead of focusing on her, Mr. Villain might steal and destroy Mr. Protagonist's future. That would surely become a disaster.
'Ah! This creature named 'Andrew Gartin' is making my head hurts' Rhianne thought as she scratches her head in annoyance.
She stops walking fast when she arrived at the waiting shed near the school entrance. The truth is, it was not her older brother who texted her, but Dr. Calvin.
'Let's meet in front of your school today. I'll be there in 15 minutes.'
Rhianne didn't know why Dr. Calvin wants to meet her right now. If she can recall correctly, Dr. Calvin told her last time to meet him every weekend for her regular checkups. Dr. Calvin even mentioned that he was specifically busy during weekdays. So why does he want to meet her now?
Before she can think further, a white sports car stops in front of her. The driver inside opens the window of his car and looks at her with a smile. Who else would be the driver of this expensive car aside from Dr. Calvin? He gets off from his car and personally opens the car door for Rhianne.
"Let's go now, Princess Rhianne?" Dr. Calvin said with a smile.
"Stop calling me that." Rhianne said with a frown.
Ever since Rhianne and Keith became friends, Dr. Calvin started calling her 'Princess Rhianne' even during their checkups. When Rhianne asked him the reason why Dr. Calvin refused to answer. But he gave her a vague answer about seeing a play between a stupid little boy and a dense little princess. And every time Dr. Calvin sees Rhianne, he was always reminded of that interesting play.
"Not gonna happen." Dr. Calvin said. "I think Princess Rhianne suits you better."
Rhianne huffs to show her dissatisfaction. Seeing her acting like this, Dr. Calvin let out a chuckle.
"I'm actually starving so let's eat first."
"I can't go with you. Brother said we have to go home together today."
"Ah, really?" Dr. Calvin said. Then he shrugs his shoulder. "It's okay. You'll meet him later at home anyway."
Before Rhianne can answer him back, Dr. Calvin gently pulls her until she gets inside his car. He quickly closes the door, gets inside his car, and sit in the driver seat to start the engine. Rhianne stares at her with wide eyes. When Dr. Calvin looks at her, he shows Rhianne a sweet smile.
"I know that I'm handsome. No need for you to remind me of it."
"Dr. Calvin, you are kidnapping me!" Rhianne said as she intentionally ignores what Dr. Calvin just said.
"Kidnapping? Of course not. I am just inviting my patient to have a late lunch with me. Naturally, I will also be the one to bring you back home later."
"But my brother-"
"Don't think too much about him. I had already sent him a text message earlier before I fetched you."
"Really?" Rhianne asked suspiciously. She can't easily trust this guy, especially when he's the type of person who rejoices in other's miseries.
"Really." Dr. Calvin said nonchalantly. "So what do you want to eat?"
"..."
"Princess Rhianne?"
"...I will let you decide on it. You are the doctor here, remember?"
"Well, that's right." Dr. Calvin said. "Okay. I got this."
Seeing that Dr. Calvin is ignoring her dissatisfaction with their situation right now, Rhianne can only frown and let him do whatever he wants.
The whole car ride is quiet, but not awkward. Have nothing to do, Rhianne look at Dr. Calvin and observe his outfit. Clean white shirt, black pants, simple yet elegant wristwatch, and black shoes. His clothes are simple, but Dr. Calvin can obviously pull it off. If Rhianne didn't know what he is doing for a living, she will think that Dr. Calvin is a model or a TV personality.
"Princess Rhianne, stop staring at me. You don't want me to think that you have a huge crush on me, do you?"
"Dr. Calvin, don't be too conceited. I'm just thinking you don't look like you came from your work." Rhianne said as he looks at him again from head to toe.
"Oh. Too observant. Well, you're right. I have a sudden day off today. Then I just remember something and decided to meet you. I'm so sweet, right? Want me to your big brother?"
"I still like my brother more." Rhianne quickly answered him.
'At least, my brother is not acting like a child unlike you.'
"That's too bad. I actually want you to be my sister." He said that, but he is still smiling contradicting his own words.
After that, Rhianne didn't say anything and let Dr. Calvin focus on driving.

Rhianne and Dr. Calvin ate in a famous restaurant in the Central District in Quintel City. Rhianne really wanted to protest about it. Why do they need to eat in a restaurant far away from their houses? But her protest became futile because Dr. Calvin is the one who decided for both of them.
'Fine. Just let this doctor do whatever he wants.'
Rhianne heard that it is hard to get a reservation at this restaurant. But when they entered the restaurant, Dr. Calvin only showed his ID card and the receptionist gave them the best table they have. Even the head chef of that restaurant cooked his specialty food and served it to them personally. Rhianne didn't speak during this time because she's afraid to make a huge mistake in front of these people.
The original Rhianne Cartel is a young lady who grew up in riches and was doted by her parents too much. Of course, it's obvious that she's used at these things. This kind of extravagant thing is just ordinary and nothing for them. As for her, she is still trying to get used to it.
After eating in that famous restaurant, Dr. Calvin brought Rhianne to a quiet park near their mansion. Rhianne didn't know why Dr. Calvin brought him here, even though he clearly promised to bring her back after they eat their lunch. Dr. Calvin is leisurely sitting on the bench beside her as he takes a few pictures of himself. He even sometimes pulls Rhianne to take a picture with him.
"See? I'm too handsome in our picture together."
"So vain." Rhianne commented.
Dr. Calvin ignores her comment as he fidgets on his phone for a while. Before he put his phone back in his pocket, Dr. Calvin has a satisfied smile on his face.
"Can we go home now?" Rhianne asked.
"Later. Answer my questions first."
"Why do you have so many questions?" Rhianne asked in annoyance. He already asked her a lot of questions earlier, while they are having their lunch and now, but he still has a question for her.
"Because I'm really curious."
"About what?"
"What is the reason why you always ignore Tristan."
"..."
"Princess Rhianne?"
"I'm not ignoring him."
"You're lying."
"I'm not."
"Yes, you are." Dr. Calvin said as he makes himself comfortable on the bench. "You didn't know, but Tristan was lack of energy these days. How should I say this? Hmm... He's acting like a living zombie. As his brother, of course, I can't help but worry." Before Rhianne can refute him, Dr. Calvin continued. "It's not only me who was worried about him. Even our parents are worried about him."
"Mr. and Mrs. Lancester?!"
"Ooh. Too formal." Dr. Calvin teased. "But that's right. Of course, they are aware of Tristan's well-being. Especially our mother. She mentioned that you scolded Tristan in the school clinic the day he got involved in a fight."
Rhianne widens her eyes in surprise when he mentioned their mother. It is only then she realized that Mrs. Lancester was the one who picked up Keith that day. Rhianne was too absorbed in scolding Keith that day that she forgot to greet his mother.
"Did Mrs. Lancester hear us?" Rhianne asked Dr. Calvin carefully.
"On how you scolded Tristan that day? Yup. She heard every word you had said to him." He casually replied.
'Oh my goodness! I'm dead! I'm dead! I'm dead!'
