Chapter 27

Rhianne wakes up early the next day. She plans to communicate with her Mr. Protagonist again and makeup with him. She is also willing to apologize for being harsh on him these past few days. After talking with Dr. Calvin yesterday, Rhianne was slowly getting convinced that she was indeed harsh with Keith even though he is quite sensitive. 'I just hope that Mr. Protagonist will forgive me though.' After eating breakfast with her family, Francis and Rhianne get ready to go to their school. During the car ride, Francis tells Rhianne that if a certain doctor suddenly shows up again in their school and ask her to go with him, she will quickly refuse and leave him alone. When she returned home yesterday, Rhianne learned the truth that Dr. Calvin didn't really send a message to Francis to tell him that she was with him that day. Francis got worried and immediately call their mother and informed her that Rhianne was missing. It was their mother who told Francis that Dr. Calvin asked for her permission to pick up Rhianne from school and to eat lunch together. When Francis asked Rhianne why did she choose to go with Dr. Calvin instead of waiting for him just like their original plan, she didn't hesitate to push all the blame to that childish doctor. In the first place, Dr. Calvin deceived her and even 'kidnap' her just to eat in a very expensive restaurant. Francis got mad at Calvin and quickly gave him a call. Rhianne can't hear what they are talking about until she heard Dr. Calvin's laughs on the other line. She can roughly guess that the doctor was weaving another set of excuses and even dare to turn the tables by teasing Francis for his own entertainment. Rhianne was getting grateful to the author of this novel every time she witnessed how horrible Dr. Calvin's sense of humor was. Rhianne's phone beeps once and a small notification shows up on her screen. She recently downloaded an app which can give her a daily prediction. Though Rhianne is not completely a believer of future predictions and fortune tellings, Rhianne still reads this kind of kinds of stuff for her own entertainment. 'Today is a good day! You will be having a lot of pleasant surprises that can make you smile for the whole day! So cheer up now and start your day with a positive energy!' Rhianne raises an eyebrow after reading it. And what kind of pleasant surprise will make her smile for the whole day? Is there someone who will give her a bag of chocolate? Or maybe she will get a perfect score on their math exam today? "Hmm? Did someone texted you?" Francis suddenly asked. "Did that brat bothering you again?" "Brat? Who? Keith?" Rhianne asked. "Yes. I thought you don't want to be friends with him?" inquired Francis. "Who told you that?" queried Rhianne. "Of course, Keith is still my friend. We just had a small...misunderstanding." "...Oh. I see." "Why do look so disappointed, brother?" puzzled Rhianne as she looks at her brother. "You don't want me to be friends with Keith?" "I didn't say that. But I guess I just don't like that brat." Francis vacillated. "He's a good kid." assured Rhianne. "So stop criticizing my friend." "You talk like an elder, you know." Francis chuckled. "Fine, I get it. As long as you're okay with your friend." When they arrived at their school, Rhianne was surprised to see a lot of people in their school. There are cameras placed everywhere on the school grounds, students who wear different uniforms and costumes, people who lift huge boxes and placed it inside the vacant room, and a group of students are gathering around them while trying to peek inside a huge tent. Before Rhianne can ask her older brother about it, a classmate of Francis suddenly approaches him and ask a bunch of questions. After dealing with his classmate, Francis turns his head to look at Rhianne who is also looking at him without blinking her eyes. "What is it?" Francis asked. "Nothing. I just noticed that you will become a better leader in the future." Rhianne replied. "You also look handsome while dealing with your classmate." "You're being silly." Francis chortled and his smile is visible on his face. "By the way, there is a shooting of a movie entitled 'Letting You Go' here in our school today. It was a sudden decision that's why the students are not aware of it. But don't worry, they will try their best not to disturb the classes of the students here." "Oh, okay." Rhianne said. But after realizing what Francis just had said, she looks again at her brother with wide eyes. "You mean there will shoot a movie here?!" "Yes. That's just what I had said." "Can I meet them?! I mean, not the actors and actresses, but the director? Can I? Can I? Right?!" bubbled Rhianne as she pulls her brother's hand repeatedly. "Uhh... Yes? I think so. But why— Ah, right. You mentioned before that you wanted to be a film director." "Yes! That's right!" beamed Rhianne. Rhianne indeed mentioned it to her family about what she wants to do in the future. Since Francis will be inheriting their company, he will obviously become the next president of CGC. It is also a good thing that he is not forcing himself to do it, but rather excited enthusiasts about improving their company in the future. As for Rhianne, Tim and Carmie asked about her plans in the future. It will be good if Rhianne also wants to work in their company and contribute to it, but her happiness is still their top priority. I personally know the director of this film. She is Director Jamie Philton. I once met her in one of the parties dad and I attended before." Francis explained. "As I've said, I will try to let you meet her today. Since today is their first day of taping, they will become super busy. But if we don't have a chance today, then we still have the remaining four days to let you meet Director Jamie in person." "I understand! But brother, promise me you will bring me to meet Director Jamie. Okay? Promise me!" "Fine, fine. I promise." Francis said as he tries to calm down this cute, little kitten in front of him from too much excitement. "Now you should stop and go to your classroom. Listen to your teacher well." "I will! Thank you, brother!" Rhianne walks with a little spring on her every step until she reaches their classroom. She is really in a good mood. Since Francis promised to let her meet the film director, Rhianne can't wait until class dismissal. She plans to meet the director and ask her a lot of questions that can help Rhianne to achieve her dreams. Because of her too much excitement, Rhianne didn't notice the stares of her classmates throwing at her seatmate. The students in their classroom keep on glancing at the boy sitting next to Rhianne, especially the girls. Some are still trying not to look that they care, while some are obviously want to talk with Rhianne's seatmate though they are still hesitating. Ever since Rhianne entered their classroom, Keith waited for Rhianne to turn her head and look at him. He is expecting her to be surprised and bombard him with a lot of questions. But minutes have passed and Rhianne is not turning her head to look around her surroundings. Instead, she is smiling happily while obviously thinking of something. Getting impatient, Keith moves his chair closer to Rhianne nudges Rhianne's arm. When Rhianne feels that someone is nudging at her arm, she turns her head to look at Keith. 'Ah, right! I have to talk to Mr. Protagonist today.' "Why... Huh?!" Rhianne's eyes widen in surprise when she saw Keith today for the first time. "Good morning, Rhianne." "Yeah... Good...morning." Rhianne is more surprised when Keith suddenly shows her a smile. Just like what her prediction said earlier. This morning indeed full of surprises for her.
