Chapter 8 Want a Divorce? You try!
The rain outside the house is getting heavier and heavier, but I can't take care of so much.
There were very few pedestrians and vehicles on the road. I drove in running all the way. As long as I passed the intersection ahead, Chris's mother's home was just around the corner.
However, the tragedy happened in an instant, when a black car sped by, it ran a red light and crashed into my car.
Suddenly, the huge momentum made everything in front of me start to roll and spin.
When I reacted, all the airbags in the car had been bounced off, and my whole body was as painful as a broken frame.
Blood was flowing down my head, and my sight gradually became a little blurred.
"Hurry up, have you found it? Someone is coming." A man opened my door, looking for something, and another man behind him urged anxiously.
"Found it! The employer said the woman would take it away." He took the diary and said.
"It's too late, go quickly!"
They quickly disappeared into the downpour.
The person who came in a hurry turned out to be Chris. In his always cold eyes without temperature, I actually saw some anxiety: "I'll call an ambulance right away, you hold on."
I think I must be hallucinating.
Chris came out in the rain, certainly not because he was worried about me driving in the heavy rain. I think he is more likely to try to stop me from going to his house so as not to stimulate Nora.
The ambulance came quickly, and I was sent to the hospital in time. Fortunately, my injury was not very serious.
Chris stood beside my hospital bed, his brow locked and his face livid.
"You don't deserve to be a mother at all. In such a heavy rain, have you ever thought of the safety of a little child? He is just a tool you use to hold me hostage?" Chris said.
He always thinks of me from the worst point of view, without exception.
This time, I was really in a hurry. I underestimated Nora's viciousness, which was much greater than I could have imagined.
And I didn't expect Nora's response to be so quick. Fortunately, my child is fine, otherwise... I dare not continue to think about it.
I must let the truth of this matter come out as soon as possible, or if it is delayed for one day, my children will be in danger for one day.
"Chris, Helen didn't kill herself! She was pushed downstairs." I clasped my fingers tightly on the sheets and said to Chris word by word.
He paused and looked at me with surprised eyes: "What are you talking nonsense about?"
I read the last article in my diary to Chris word for word.
After listening, he thought for a moment and held out his hand to me: "Where is the diary?"
"The two men who hit my car took it away. Nora was nearby when I called you. She must have heard it. She has a guilty conscience and is afraid of what is in that diary!" I said.
"There is no such coincidence diary?" Chris shook his head and gnashed his teeth at me. "Chris, what is your purpose? Why do you have to pour dirty water on Nora?"
"Will you please think about it?" I looked at him anxiously: "If I didn't have a diary, how would I know..."
"Shut up!" Chris said, "I know you saw it, but you didn't dare to take it out. You made up such a lie to lie to me. Your heart is really diabolical. Clearly, you made Helen jump off a building, but you came up with this way to relieve yourself! You are hopeless!"
I looked at Chris MoMo's face, and my inner despair finally poured up slowly.
He won't believe me in anything. I said Skyshatter didn't have any effect. I was extremely disappointed in him.
I can't think of relying on Chris anymore, because he can't protect his children at all.
I used to underestimate Nora, but now I know that she is a murderer and a madman!
Now I don't have any evidence, so it is the best choice to give birth safely away from Nora.
Thinking of this, I made up my mind, looked up and said to Chris, "You can be relieved now. I won't pester you any more. Let's divorce."
Chris froze. Moments later, anger gradually climbed up his face.
"Chris, you can get out if you want. No one is stopping you, but you have heard me clearly. Children must follow me. Mothers like you are not qualified to raise my children at all!"
My heart hurts. Nora won't have my children!
"After our divorce, will you marry Nora because of guilt and take care of her for the rest of your life?" I looked up at Chris.
He looked away and didn't answer my question.
I think I know his answer.
"Then I won't give the child to you for raising." I said categorically.
"You!" Chris stepped forward and picked me up. He stared at me, his eyes full of burning anger: "Do you know that I am paying your debts now!"
"Not rare." I was so angry that he sneered at me: "You are so great, I am so touched."
Chris was obviously so angry with me that his lips shook, and it took him half a day to squeeze out a sentence from his teeth: "Chris, you are cruel, you have no heart at all!"
I turned my head to one side and didn't want to talk nonsense with him any more.
Chris didn't intend to let me go. He clamped my chin with his hand and forced my head to turn to face him: "Tell me, what are you going to rely on to raise the child and give him a good life?"
I choked back the tears that were about to burst: "So Mr. Gu, please give me more alimony when you divorce."
Chris looked at me with disappointment in his eyes. His voice became low. "Nora said you had to marry me for money. I sadly hoped that was not the case. Now it seems to be true. Do you see that there is no hope of making money from me and plan to divorce and extort money from your children?"
I hung my head in silence, whatever he thought.
"Chris, I won't let you get what you want." Chris's voice is getting colder and colder: "Want a divorce? Dream!"
"Even if you don't agree to divorce, I will leave. I won't put my children in danger." I shook my head in a firm tone.
Chris held his hand tightly, and his eyes looked at me unblinkingly: "Then you try it."
