CHAPTER 109;"I want to make a bargain with you"

Theresa Mo wished this wasn't happening to her friends. What will she do to bring them together again? She must think of something to do. She likes them both and can't stop seeing each of them. She felt unhappy. Same morning, Julia was waiting for Rita to step out of her room for breakfast. He doesn't wait for her to come downstairs before he takes his breakfast and leaves every morning. Rita usually feels drowsy and tired every morning since she became pregnant. But she has learnt to keep herself smart. After dressing up, she came downstairs and saw Julia at the dinning. She sneered and walked over, dishing herself some chicken porridge. "I want to make a bargain with you" Julia went straight to the point. No good morning to each other. But ignored each other. "Spew it" Rita demanded without as much as raising her head to look at the fellow who was talking to her. "I want to be free and live my life as a bachelor as I've always wanted. Since you are pregnant, you can remain here until the baby is born. You and I can pretend to be married and you wear your wedding band as a proof. But that is going to be all fake. I want my lawyer to see you and we get divorce. But I will fulfill my entire responsibility towards you and the unborn baby until it's born. But after the baby is born, I promise to give you a percentage of my wealth and property capable of sustaining you for the rest of your life. If that is ok by you, my lawyer will find you and you will sign the necessary papers. This is only going to be known by the two of us. No one else is going to be aware that we are faking our marriage,"Julia Li explained. Rita was taking porridge into her mouth. She knew he was going to say something silly that was why he waited this long for his breakfast. What difference does it make between a fake or real marriage? Julia Li is an asshole and he wants only what suits him. She will gladly sign the papers and get away from the shackles of this marriage she put around her neck. "Are you sure this is what you want?" Rita asked, staring at him and the latter stared back at her. "Yes, Absolutely" Julia replied. He was serious. "Fine. I will sign the papers when your lawyer brings them. But I want to inform you that I will not be taking a dime from you when the baby is born. I can look after myself without taking anything from you" Rita declared, taking more porridge into her mouth. " Are you sure you won't be needing anything from me? I can give you enough money that will sustain you forever"Julia was trying to persuade her further. He was only trying to be nice. If she doesn't want to take anything, she can leave but he would take his baby from her. Theresa Mo felt her forehead would go blank. He is trying to display an attitude of concern because she agreed to sign those papers for him. If it was the opposite, he would have started spouting nonsense and calling her names like she is a gold digger who threw herself into his bed because of his money. She completely ignored him and kept eating her breakfast. Julia stood up looking all classic in his designer suit and walked out. Rita looked at his retreating back view and sneered. When a man is nice to a woman, she seems to see him handsome and sweet. If the opposite, no matter how expensive he's dressed, one would never see the good side of him, only the beastly part Julia doesn't look charming and handsome to her anymore. She soon finished her meal and went ahead to the office. She would go to the hospital that day when she closes the office. She hadn't done any ultrasound nor seen a gynecologist yet and her belly seemed to be a little different from being flat. Her baby bump will soon be visible and everyone will know she's pregnant. Her belly felt sweet that no matter what she faces, she has a life growing within her. When Theresa Mo got into the office, it wasn't quite Twenty minutes, when she heard a knock on her door. She asked that the person come in. The door opened and Lu Jingli walked in. Theresa Mo saw him come in and hissed. Didn't she inform the secretaries not to let anyone into the Presidential floor to see her without getting her notified about the person from the receptionist? How can Lu Jingli walk into her office? She just stared at him as the latter drew closer to her desk with a smile. Lu Jingli looked around the luxurious office. Theresa's office is quite enviable. It looked as if she's one of the directors of the company. He completely was lost in admiration of the office that he didn't take note when Theresa Mo turned her phone to a recording mode. "Have you come here to see me or to look around?" Theresa Mo demanded. She looked at him with a sneer. This was the man who hurt her so badly without bating the eyelids. Lu Jingli turned to her almost immediately, he smiled and nodded "yeah, sure"he said and quietly took the seat in front of Theresa. "Who Said you could sit in my office without my consent?" Theresa Mo demanded.
