CHAPTER 197; Aunt Lulu Covered In Blood

" I asked my chauffeur to go pick Aunt Lulu this morning. She was going on a short trip and I offered her the car. Lanre was going to be busy and wouldn't be able to drive her. I'm sorry I didn't inform you first.." Theresa Mo explained. Junxie Li now understands. The corpses were Aunt Lulu and Theresa's chauffeur. This is going to be terrible. She tucked at Junxie Li and wanted to say something when Junxie placed his index finger on her lips. " Trust me, my love. Everything will be fine" He said and kissed her as the car arrived at the Mansion. Theresa nodded and stepped out. She asked that Junxie Li give her feedback on what actually happened. He said ok and called Lanre but the latter didn't answer his phone. He ordered the chauffeur to drive to the address that was mentioned by the police. Junxie Li called his brother and asked him to return to his Mansion to keep Theresa Company. Something unpleasant has happened to her aunt and she mustn't know yet. In thirty minutes later, Junxie's car arrived at the venue of the accident. A few crowds had gathered and the bodies were being brought up from a narrow deep. The faces were being recognized and Junxie stepped out of his car. When the police officers and the rescue team saw him, they gave way. Junxie Li drew closer and recognised Theresa's chauffeur, his face was battered but Junxie still recognized him. Then next was Aunt Lulu covered in blood. The two lifeless bodies were placed in the stretcher and taken into the ambulance. Junxie's face became cold. Aunt Lulu's death was going to affect Lanre the most and then Theresa. " Take the corpses to Li's hospital" Junxie ordered and asked the officers what happened. " A truck had pushed the car into the deep after bashing it from the back. But we are yet to investigate if it was intentional or not" the senior among the officers answered. " Where's the driver of the truck?" Junxie Li asked and the officers said he had escaped. They were only able to Know the fact of what happened from the surveillance camera on the street. A memory flashed through Junxie's mind. That was how Theresa's mother was murdered. Is there a relationship? The ambulance drove off and Junxie Li asked that the police give him answers soon. Besides, he wants to have a clip of the surveillance record. He got it on his phone and immediately, Lanre's call came in. He just came out of the theater and he saw several missed calls from his nanny and then Junxie. He had called his Nanny's cell phone number back but she wasn't answering her phone. So he decided to call Junxie back as well. " Hello Junxie" Lanre's voice came from the other end. " Leave all you are doing and meet me in Li's hospital". Junxie Li requested. He can't possibly tell him anything on the phone. Li's hospital? Has anything happened to Theresa? Was it a miscarriage? No, the kind of miscarriage of such tender pregnancy would be mistaken as a menstrual flow. " What happened? Is Theresa ok?" Lanre asked and Junxie Li said Theresa is fine and she's in the mansion. He said ok. He would be driving to Li's hospital at once. He got into his car and Rosa's call came in. " Hello Lanre. Where are you?" Rosa asked. She had received Aunt Lulu's call and the only word she heard was "help!!" and the phone went dead. She tried calling her back and there was no answer. She hurriedly left work and went to Lanre's penthouse and was told Aunt Lulu went out that morning. She would have called Lanre earlier but knew he was having a surgery and couldn't answer his phone. She timed it so that he should be out of the theatre when she called him at the time. And thank goodness, he answered at once. " I am going to Li's hospital. Junxie Li just called me and said I should meet him there. Is anything the matter?" Lanre asked. Li's hospital? Rosa shivered. Has anything happened to Aunt? She told Lanre what happened and he said they should meet in Li's hospital then. Something has happened to his nanny. He hoped it would not be severe. The City hospital was a bit far from Li's hospital. Rosa was nearer and arrived there before Lanre. She called him and he said he was close by. Just then an ambulance blew into the hospital and Rosa felt a cold shiver run through her spine. She couldn't get close but soon saw the rescue team came out and opened the ambulance and wheeled two patients on a stretcher into the hospital. Rosa strained her neck and thought the woman who happened to be one out of the two patients wheeled into the hospital was like Aunt Lulu. She was shivering all over her and followed from afar. She felt her heart beating fast and hoped Lanre arrived quickly. The patients were taken into a ward and two doctors followed. Rosa heard her phone rang again and saw it was Lanre calling. She answered her phone and Lanre asked her where she was. She told him and he walked in to see a fidgeting Rosa. " What happened?" He was worried himself but was calmly asking Rosa what happened to make her look so fearful. " Two patients were wheeled into that ward. One of them was like Aunt Lulu though covered in blood.." she explained and Lanre's tension became high. He left Rosa without another word and was going to get into the ward when one of the doctors stepped out. He recognized Lanre at once as a colleague. " Good to see you doctor" he said, taking his hand for a shake and holding his stethoscope on the other hand. " Thank you doctor. I want to see the two patients wheeled into the ward. Just to confirm they are fine.." Lanre answered politely. " Oh, they were brought here dead already. I only went to confirm it…" the doctor was saying when Lanre walked past him into the ward. He saw the two lifeless bodies and went closer to examine the female among the two. He saw her and recognised her at once. " Aunt!!" Lanre's voice rend the entire hospital. Rosa rushed in and the doctor who had talked with him earlier went in as well. It was just a word that Lanre said but all who heard his voice knew the fellow was in a terrible State. Junxie Li heard his scream as he stepped through the threshold of the hospital. Lanre had arrived before him and he knew he had known what happened to his Aunt. When Rosa and the doctor went in, Lanre had pulled the bloody corpse over himself. His hands and suit have turned bloody. He robbed his face against his Aunt's bloody face making him as soiled as the corpse. Rosa was sobbing now seeing Lanre's state and knowing Aunt was dead. She went to pull him but it wasn't working. That was when the other doctors present tried to intervene but none could pull Lanre off the corpse. He lifted Aunt Lulu's upper body and hugged it against himself. His hand supported her neck from being thrown back. Lanre closed his eyes and seemed to be gnashing in pain. " Doctor,please. You have to take heart.." different comments were coming to get him off the corpse but none was working. Junxie walked in and saw the sight before him. Lanre is having blood over him but it meant nothing to him. He got closer and knew the shock was overwhelming him. " Aunt please, don't leave me. My parents are gone and you are the only one...I have left…" Lanre was able to utter in broken voices. Everyone understood now. The woman must have been his guardian. No wonder such an intelligent doctor will feel shock over the issue of death. "Everyone leaves us?" Junxie Li ordered and the ward gradually became silent. Junxie Li was the eldest master and the boss of the hospital. His words are laws as soon as he utters them. There were three left. That was when Lanre started sobbing like a child. "Aunt Lulu, come back to me, your promise to my mother isn't completed yet…"
