It's My Punishment

Tears rolled down on his cheeks. ‘Baby? Baby??' Abhay caressed her cheeks. ‘Abhi … Ahh!!! Abhi' It was difficult for her to speak. ‘I .. ‘Ahh'. Love.. Yo..u ABHI..It's ‘Ahh' my punishment for ‘Ahh' being .. his.. daughter. Pl..ease take.. care ‘Ahh' of our f.am.il.y.' With that she stopped. ‘NOOOO' Abhay screamed like a mad man. He shook her body, patted her cheeks ‘Baby wake up please. Don't leave me, BABY.' He hugged her body like a baby. His mind stopped working. He felt like his heartbeat has stopped. Robin and Vinay sat beside him. They don't know what to do? Their boss is crying like a baby hugging his wife. Vinay tried to check her nerves but Abhay slapped his hands away. ‘She is mine.' Vinay gulped down but then eyed Robin to check her. Robin tried to check her pulse and breathing but Abhay again glared him. But before Abhay could slap his hand away Vinay slightly pushed him. ‘Don't you dare to …' ‘Ma'am is alive. She is just unconscious. We need to take her to hospital as soon as possible.' ‘What??' He felt immense joy in his heart. ‘Yes Sir.' Robin said. And in the same time Abhay picked her fragile, unconscious body in his arms and ran out of the warehouse. ‘Robin dialled the number of Singh Raizada's hospital and informed them about the emergency as they came out. Turning towards Vinay he said ‘Tell them to burn this right in front of you.' Vinay nodded his head and Robin followed his boss. All of them set fire on the warehouse. The warehouse burned into ashes in front of them. But all of them were worried about their queen's wellbeing. ************************************* Abhay rushed inside his hospital ‘DOCTOR SAVE HER.' Everyone gasped looking at their trustee crying with a fallen angel in his arms. As per Robin's instruction all the arrangements were done. Abhay laid her on the hospital stretcher. She was taken to the operation theatre. ‘DON'T HURT HER. SHE IS BABY.' With that his hand slipped from her. The door of the operation theatre was closed on his face. He felt a void in his heart. He was walking in front of the operation theatre. ‘I should be inside with her. I should be there.' Robin wanted to calm his boss and made him drink water. But his messed up condition made him understand that he will not take a normal breath until the operation is over. ‘Abhi' Abhay stopped hearing his mother's voice. Vishal and Devika immediately came the moment they came to know about it. Devika got her conscious back an hour after they reached the hospital. The moment she opened her eyes she was restless to meet them. And finally the devastating news came. Vishal helped her to get up and brought her here. Vishal was also restless. ‘Choti ma, Chote papa.' Abhay ran to them. Devika gasped looking at his shirt. ‘Abhi blood …this much.' ‘It's her blood.' Abhay replied in a regretting voice. ‘WHAT? You are there right?' Vishal looked at him in anger. He would never come out of that place. ‘I am sorry.' He broke down in his mother's arms. Robin went near them and said ‘Ma'am took the bullet which was for Sir.' Tears rolled down from their eyes. Vishal hugged his son and made him calm. ‘She will be fine na?!!' He leaned to his mother's shoulder. ‘Of course she will be.' Vishal brought a glass of water and made him drink it. *The operation was over* The doctor came out of the operation theatre. Looking at him all four of them got up. Robin messaged Rima not to take much tension. She was crying miserably knowing her friend's life in stake. ‘How is she? She is fine? I can see her right? Doctor reply.' Abhay asked everything in one go. ‘Sir don't worry she is out of danger. The bullet has been taken out. But she lost too much blood. She will gain her consciousness within 2 hours. We need to take good care of her. And Sir you can see her from outside and meet her when she gets her conscious back.' The doctor replied in one go knowing his restlessness. Abhay thanked him and went to see her. All of them followed him. He stopped near her cabin. Abhay looked at her pale face. She looked more fragile. Tears rolled down from his orbs. Her words kept ringing in his head. *It's my punishment for being his daughter. * Vishal stood beside him and patted his back. ‘She will be fine. She is fine.' Devika wiped her cheeks but more tears rolled down from her eyes. Three of them were crying. *2 hours later* Abhay was sitting inside her cabin. He took bath and got freshened. He was not ready to leave the hospital. ‘Abhi my son she will freak out seeing your blood stained cloths.' Devika made him understood. He hurriedly went back to his penthouse with Devika and freshened up. Devika made him eat his food and gave him his medicines. Vishal and Robin stayed there. Isha and Rima wanted to come but excitement could harm her. So they didn't come. Abhay was holding her hand and was looking at her pale face. *30 minutes later* Abhay was tensed. Mrinal didn't wake up till now. It's more than 2 hours. He was afraid if she slips into coma. His heart ached. ‘Baby get up please.' He kissed her palm. He kept stroking her hair. And then he saw her eyelashes' movements. She slowly blinked her eyes. ‘Baby!!' Abhay stood up. He pressed the switch which was there to call for doctor and nurse. Mrinal took some more time to open eyes. The first face came in front of her view was her husband, her Abhi. Abhay started kissing her whole face. ‘Baby, my small baby is fine. You need something. Tell me baby.' Abhay cupped her face. ‘You are fine na' She mumbled in weak voice. ‘Sir is Ma'am awake?' The doctor came inside with a nurse hearing the bell. ‘Yes! Yes! she is. Check her.' Abhay let the doctor check her. The doctor checked her and said ‘She is fine but she is weak. Stay with Ma'am. We will talk later.' With that doctor left instructing the nurse to arrange food and her vitals. Abhay went near his baby and softly pecked her lips. He made her drink water and kept the empty glass on the table. He was out of words. So he kept stroking her hair making her feel better. Mrinal smiled feeling his fingers on her scalp. ‘Abhi' She called him softly. ‘Yes Baby you want something? You feel pain. Wait let me call..' ‘Abhi just stay with me. I am fine.' *At late night* Mrinal was sleeping on Abhay's chest as Abhay was lying on the hospital bed carefully holding his baby. Devika and Vishal went back to the mansion. They didn't want to go from here but Abhay told them that he will take Mrinal back in their mansion tomorrow only. Devika fed her dinner and gave her medicine. She couldn't stop her tears. They didn't utter a single word about the accident or Utkasrh. Vishal himself told Abhay to not initiate any conversation what happened there. They nurse were looking at the three person who were basically doing their jobs. Abhay took her inside the bathroom carrying her in his arms. Devika helped her inside the bathroom. Vishal was cracking jokes to make her happy. She was being pampered by all of them. They were little bit worried about Mrinal's family in Kolkata. But Mrinal herself told them not to tell them. ‘I think Mira is right.' Vishal didn't want to keep them in darkness but it will make them sad. But Mrinal wasn't ready right now. Moreover, one knows that Mrs. Singh Raizada was shot. They kept media far away from all these. The whole hospital is aware of that. Abhay ate the food what Devika brought for him. She was sad but still prepared food for her children. They went back making sure Mrinal is fine. Abhay talked with the doctor who was specially appointed for Mrinal. He knows about Abhay's underworld because he is the one of those doctors who treat his men when they get wounded due to attack. ‘Sir Ma'am is weak. I mean really weak. She lost too much blood. And we will take care of that.' ‘Thanks for saving her.' Abhay was really thankful to him. ‘It's my pleasure Sir. You can take her to your mansion. Everything will be arranged for that.' Abhay nodded and went out with a smile on face. The doctor saw the genuine smile on his face and felt happy for his boss. He himself knows how he takes care of his men if they get injured. But the college girl whom he operated today is the heartbeat of his boss. He was crying like a baby hugging her when she was asleep, how he told everyone not hurt her because she is baby. He himself told Abhay not stress her until she is fine. Abhay already knew about it. He was always beside her. *Next Morning* Mrinal opened her eyes and found herself on her husband's chest. She smiled and then again slept on his chest. 2 hours later Abhay got up and found her asleep. Kissing on her temple he made her sleep on the bed. He looked at the time. It was her time to wake up but she was too weak to wake up by herself. He softly woke her up. Mrinal was never fuzzy. But she was weak. ‘Abhi can I sleep for some more?' She said yawning. ‘Baby just have your breakfast, then medicines and then sleep ok. Moreover, we will go back today to our house.' Hearing about going to their mansion she smiled warmly. last night she requested him to take her back to their house before they slept. ‘Really we will go back today.' ‘Of course Baby. Now get up my small baby.' She made a cute pout and Abhay picked her up. Two nurse followed them to the bathroom. Abhay came out as the nurse helped her. Devika hurriedly came inside. ‘Where is Mira?' Vishal came inside after her. ‘She is the bathroom. Choti ma we will go back today.' ‘Finally, now I will be with her always.' She said happily and sat on the nearby chair. Abhay was standing near her. The nurse helped her to walk out of the bathroom. Abhay saw her coming out of bathroom with the help of the nurse. He went to her and picked her up. ‘I can walk Abhi.' ‘But I am here to carry you.' He grinned like a teenager. She was given medicine after Devika fed her. Vishal gave her medicines. ‘It's yucky chote papa.' ‘But you have to take it Mira. Your choti ma will make payesh for you today.' She wasn't foody but she loves when her family members pamper her. She smiled cheekily before gulping down her bitter tablets with water. Devika fed her son inside the cabin only as Mrinal laid on her bed. Vishal was talking with her more like telling her happy things. Soon they left with happy faces. Before leaving Devika kissed Mrinal's forehead and said ‘We will be waiting for you Mira. We are going, Abhi will take you back.' She nodded her head and smiled at her. Though she was in pain but she was happy. Her stomach aches. She is very weak, she can't even move her body without anyone's help. But her heart aches knowing her dark past. Soon Mrinal was discharged. Everything is already arranged in their mansion. Abhay took her in his arms and went to his car. She was sleeping in his arms like a small baby due to her medicines. Abhay settled inside the car with sleeping Mrinal in his arms.
