Graduation day And Acceptance

Mrinal was hella nervous. It was her graduation day. She quickly got up and freshened up. She woke up Abhay and went downstairs. Soon they had their breakfast. She couldn't eat properly due to tension but one look from Abhay and she became a small girl. She took blessings from her elders. Her parents wished her through phone call. Devika and Vishal were also going with them. Abhay was sitting beside Mrinal inside the car. ‘Baby just relax. You will top my Baby.' ‘I don't know Abhi. I still remember how mama cried when I left them for coming here. I don't want to disappoint them.' ‘You will never disappoint them Baby.' Mrinal leaned her head on his shoulder looking outside the busy Mumbai city. ******************************** Students were happy for today. Isha was with Avin waiting for Mrinal. The auditorium was filled students. Mrinal came out of the car a little away from the college. Abhay kissed her forehead and said ‘You will do the best Baby.' She joined Devika and Vishal and went to her college. She knew her husband will be present there as the chief guest. She entered inside the auditorium with Devika and Vishal. Isha and Avin waved their hands towards her. Devika said to her ‘Go and sit with your friends and all the best sweety.' ‘All the best my daughter.' Vishal wished her and patted her head. ‘Thanks Choti ma and Chote papa.' With that she went to her friends and sat with them. Few students from her class were there busy in their talks. She could have heard them saying how handsome her husband is. ‘The guy is not only handsome but a big shot. There were so many guards.' ‘Well that he is.' She preferred to ignore the way they were fangirlig her husband. Isha glared them to make them stop. After few minutes Principle entered the stage. Other board members a professors were also there. ‘Hello students, today is a huge day of your lives. You guys are graduating and going start a new chapter of your lives. I wish you all the best.' Everyone clapped. ‘Now today we have a special person with us who is going to present your graduation certificate. We are really honoured to have our trustee and India's business tycoon Mr. Abhay Singh Raizada.' The auditorium was filled with clapping. Few girls became excited forgetting he is already committed. When all the eyes were him, his eyes were only on his wife, on her small frame. ‘Look who is here Mrinal?' ‘Well we all knew Isha.' ‘Well we knew but the smile on your face is something he wanted to see.' Mrinal smiled more vibrantly. He stood on the middle of the stage and said ‘I am glad that I could be part of your special day and I wish you all the very best for your future.' ****************************** Students names were called for and they went to take their certificates. First the Bachelor's Graduation. After that it was Master's Graduation. Arin and isha were sitting lazily. Their names will not be taken. They don't even know a single word of their course but they did copy everything the teacher had said in the lectures. After sometimes Mrinal's name came *Mrinal Chatterjee Singh Raizada* Abhay's face lit up. His baby took a deep breath and came on the stage. ‘Congratulations Baby.' He said lowly. She smiled ‘Thank You.' and shake hands with him. Abhay would have kissed her hands if they weren't in public. Devika took a picture of them when Abhay was giving her the certificate. More than her Abhay was happy. The principle further announced ‘Mrs. Mrinal Chatterjee Singh Raizada ranked no.1 in the whole Mumbai University.' Everyone clapped and cheered. Mrinal gasped in happiness. ‘So I told you.' She would have jump on him if they weren't in public. But still something was yet to come. ************************************ ‘Say cheese.' Arin said as he took Mrinal and Isha's picture. Everyone was taking pictures with their friends and family. ‘Congratulations Mira. We are proud of you.' Vishal wished her. ‘Thank you Chote papa.' ‘Congratulations my sweety.' Devika wished her. ‘Thank you Choti ma.' Mrinal replied with a happy smile. She dialled up her mother's number. Her family members were eager for her result. She told them about her result. They felt proud of her. They all congratulated her. After saying bye to Isha and Arin they went back. Both Mrinal and Abhay wanted to meet each other. But it was professional here. ************************************ The workers were doing the preparation of Mrinal's favourite dishes as Devika instructed them. She will cook by herself. Mrinal came outside the college and found her husband. He was standing while leaning on his car. ‘Abhi!!' She ran to him and hugged him. He wrapped his hands around her small frame as she wrapped her arms around his neck. ‘Baby you did it. I am proud of it.' He kissed her hair and side of head. ‘I still couldn't believe Abhi.' ‘But you did it Shona.' They broke the hug and Abhay kissed her hand. Her eyes were filled with happy tears. ‘Don't cry Baby.' ‘It's just happy tears Abhi.' Soon they came back to mansion. The lunch went well with four of them. At night they arranged a family dinner in a posh restaurant. As always Abhay booked the whole restaurant. Mrinal was very happy with her results. Both the families were happy with their daughter's results. They were proud of her. All of her family members congratulated her. Adi and Barsha were really happy for their Moni's good marks. They family dinner went well. Everyone was very happy with Mrinal's success. They went back to their mansion. Both Devika and Vishal brought gift for her. She squealed like a kid. The workers also congratulated her. Only Abhay was left to gift her something. ****************************************** Mrinal was changing her cloths. She looked at her reflection on mirror. The scar of bullet was still there on her stomach. She doesn't regret it but she felt a little upset. ‘He won't like it.' She thought. She touched her stomach on that particular place. She kept looking at mirror and tracing the place. She was insecure thinking her husband won't like her body. She lowered her eyes and then started changing her cloths. *********************************************** ‘Abhi can I open it?' Mrinal asked excitedly. ‘Yes Baby, you can.' Abhay replied making her smile wider. She immediately opened the wrappings. ‘Baby is excited hmm!!' He pinched her nose. ‘Yes because it's you who is giving me the gift.' She said while opening the box. ‘It's amazing Abhi. So pretty!!' She was mesmerized by the bracelet. It was a cute diamond bracelet. Abhay made her wear it. ‘It looks more pretty now.' Abhay kissed her palm. ‘Thank you so much!!' She hugged him. Soon they settled on the bed. Mrinal was lying on Abhay's chest. Abhay was cuddling her. There was pure silence between them. Sometimes silence is most enjoyable. After sometimes Abhay broke the silence ‘Baby will you lift your shirt for me?' Mrinal looked at him, directly into his eyes which holds pure love for her. She slowly lifted her shirt up to her stomach. As soon as she did Abhay kissed her stomach on the particular place. It was that bullet's scar. ‘Abhi..' He kept giving her butterfly kisses on her whole stomach. She giggled feeling ticklish. ‘It's just a scar. It will go away.' ‘You saw me?' ‘Yes I saw Baby. I love you whole. Moreover, it's because of me.' A pair of eyes saw her in this state. Abhay was inside the bathroom. While coming out he saw her looking at mirror with a sad face. He understood when he saw her deeply looking at her scar. ‘Abhi please don't.' She begged through her eyes. ‘Ok Baby. But promise me you won't feel insecure about it.' ‘I promise.' They joined their fingers. It was a pinky promise. Abhay pulled down her shirt. She leaned towards him. Soon sleep engulfed them. ******************************************** *2 weeks later* Mrinal was sitting on the library reading a book. She was looking like a toddler sitting on Abhay's chair swinging her leg. Last week was totally fun. They went to Kolkata just a week ago. Abhay went two days later as he was busy with his works. Mrinal flipped a page. A sudden knock came from outside. Mrinal got up and opened the door. It was a worker. ‘Mira babyji a letter has come for you.' She took it and thanked her. The worker left giving her a smile. It was a white envelope. It was from the college she applied. She took a deep breath and opened it. Abhay was in his study. The meeting went well as usual. He got up and was about to open the door of his study when the door was opened by Mrinal. He smiled at her but to his shock she jumped in Abhay's arms and hugged him tightly wrapping her legs around his waist. ‘Abhi!!' Her joyful voice made his heart flattered. Abhay hugged her back. ‘I got accepted.' She shrieked kissing Abhay's cheeks. ‘Congratulations baby.' He peppered kisses on her whole face. They broke the hug. ‘Is this your acceptance letter Baby?' He asked pointing towards the letter. She nodded and he took it and read it happily. They came downstairs and found Vishal and Devika talking with each other. ‘Choti ma' Mrinal ran to her and hug her. ‘What happened huh?' ‘Guess what Choti ma?' Abhay replied. ‘She got chance in California Institute of the Arts.' Vishal said. ‘Yes she got her acceptance letter.' ‘That's amazing.' They hugged her. They were extremely happy for her. ‘It calls for another celebration.' *************************************** ‘I am so happy for you my baby girl.' Her mother said. She was proud of her daughter. Both the families knew that Abhay could have admit her in any college she wants. But he never did anything like this. She did everything by herself. ‘Moni you will go out of India?' Barsha asked. ‘Yes Love I will. But I will come back within 2 years.' ‘All the best Moni. We will miss you.' Adi said with a toothy smile. They ended the skype call after talking. Mrinal closed the laptop and looked at Abhay. Within 2 days she will leave for California. Abhay already arranged everything. A little part of him was upset. She has to go away from him. But he will never stop her. Mrinal cupped his face in her small hands. ‘I can study here also.' ‘But you are not going to do so.' ‘I can't see you upset.' ‘I can't break your dreams. Everything will be fine. Just be careful and study hard.' ‘Hmm. Of course Abhi.' Abhay leaned towards her. He softly captured her lips with his. ‘I think I should get 730 kisses.' He said as he broke the kiss. Her eyes widened ‘What?!!' ‘Yes you will be away from me for 2 years. So my kisses.' He said with a grin. ‘You are crazy.' She shook her head. ‘Only for you Baby.' **************************************** *2 days later* Devika cried hugging Mrinal. She was also crying. 2 years without Mrinal will be difficult for her. Even the workers were also sad about it. ‘I will come soon.' She assured her. ‘Happy journey Mira.' She kissed her forehead. In these two days Devika cooked her favourite food. They spent time together. She herself helped her to pack her luggage. They will miss her and so will she. Vishal patted her head. She took blessings from her elders. Soon they said good bye to her. Rima and Isha also came to see off her. As the plane took off she looked out of the window of the private jet. A new journey will start of her life. She then looked back at his husband who was clinging to her like a baby. who can say he is the same man who kills mercilessly. Last night she became a child and that too an obedient one. Abhay gave her a full lecture about her safety in California. *************************************** ***************************************
