The Revelations (Part 1)
Third Person's POV
The man was gently drinking a red liquid while sitting on his throne when suddenly the large doors in front of him opened, and one of his trusted servants entered. The servant knelt down and bowed as a sign of respect.
'I have good news, Master," a tall, sturdy man spoke respectfully.
A demonic smile flashed across the man's face. In his mind, the day he had been waiting for to attain the desired immense power was truly approaching.
'What is it?" His voice had a menacing tone, but excitement still seeped through.
His servant looked up and grinned. 'It has been confirmed that she is the one we have been searching for all this time." Joy was evident in his eyes.
He nodded, and happiness was visible on his face. 'How does it confirm?" He stared intently at his servant. Even before it spoke, he had already read the answer in his mind.
'Today, the red mark appeared on her neck. It's a sign that she is the chosen one."
The man stood up and gently tapped his servant's shoulder. Indeed, he could rely on him, and he had never disappointed him. He made the right decision in taking him and his wife in.
Even though they were mere humans, when the lives of the couple were in danger, he saved them in exchange for their service and loyalty to him.
Without a doubt, the couple accepted his offer. He indeed benefited greatly from them because they used to be on the other side.
He has gathered a lot of information from them. But what piqued his interest the most was the prophecy mentioned by the couple. He had no knowledge about that matter. That it would happen within a few weeks.
'Great if that's the case. You can leave now."
Once again, the servant bowed before finally departing.
The man was left alone once more inside a large and cold room. He raised his gaze and stared intently at a large photograph of a woman hanging in a corner.
'I had no intention of seeking revenge if only you had chosen me back then." Anger and pain resonated in his voice.
'But you didn't do that. What's even more hurtful is that you chose to betray me and to even side with one of our enemies! So now, your child will pay for all the suffering and sins you and your husband have inflicted upon me."
He tightened his grip on his glass until it shattered completely. Trembling with rage, he swore to avenge his deceased family and reclaim the only woman he had ever loved.
'With the newfound power I will possess, I will take you back, Cassandra Clarkson."

Kira's POV
I didn't know what's the meaning behind the images and scenes Kyle saw when he suddenly had a headache earlier. But I strongly suspect that it has something to do with him and Nicole. I don't know. But it seems like there are many things connecting the two of them.
I remembered again what happened earlier. I was truly amazed at the strength Nicole displayed. I never thought she could easily overpower a pureblood like that. She's really something.
I'm currently walking out of the woods when I notice Nicole standing at its entrance, staring blankly.
'Nicole," I called out to her softly.
Her eyes widened, and she looked at me as if she had seen a ghost.
'Hey! Are you alright?" I quickly approached her and felt her forehead because she suddenly turned pale.
But I was surprised when she stepped back. She's giving me a dagger look.
I suddenly got alarmed. What's happening to her?
'What is it?"
'Who are you really? What are you?" she whispered almost inaudibly.
I was taken aback by her question. Does she already know?
Is that why she's giving me such a cold stare? Because she sees me as a monster now?
I felt a pain in my chest just thinking about it. I don't think I can handle her looking at me like that.
I really enjoy getting close to humans. That's why I felt so happy when I met her because she's the first person who has come close to me like this.
Every time that I'm with her, I feel like I am a normal human being just like her. I forget that I am different from her and I can freely do what I want.
'What are you talking about? Why did you suddenly ask that?" I force a laugh to ease the unseen tension.
She looked away. It seemed like she was also surprised by the questions she asked. 'N-nevermind. I'll go now." She quickly ran away from me.
But I saw a protruding broken branch on her path, and it seemed like she didn't notice it. 'Hey! Watch out!"
I quickly approached her, but she tripped already. She was running too fast.
'Ouch!"
I knelt on my left knee as I supported her to allow her to sit down properly. I looked at her wounded knee, and it was slightly bleeding.
Blood.
I choked. It felt like my stomach turned upside down as soon as I smelled it. That's when I realized she wasn't wearing the bracelet again.
I looked up and noticed that she was actually staring at me.
'Next time, be careful. You got hurt again," I patted her head and smiled.
Even though I felt a strong temptation because of her blood, I couldn't bring myself to hurt her. We survive by drinking animal blood, and that's what we're used to, so we can control our cravings for human blood.
I took my handkerchief out of my pocket to cover her wound. It was difficult because someone like us might catch a scent of her and couldn't resist anymore.
But I was surprised when I looked at her knee again and saw that the wound was gone. 'How..."
I clenched my fist when I saw tears suddenly streaming down her face.
She's crying. Fuck
'Who are you? Who am I really? I don't understand anything. I'm so confused!" She continued crying, and it hurt to see her like this.
I don't know why, but the very first time I laid my eyes on her, I just can't take it away. I want to see her all the time too. I'm happy whenever I'm with her and talking to her. Especially when I see her smiling and hear her laughter.
Because of her, a strange kind of feeling suddenly awakened inside me. But I chose to ignore it. I know that whatever I feel for her will lead nowhere.
I admit. The reason I lost control earlier was because I saw them almost kiss, her and Kyle. I felt like going crazy and pulling her away from Kyle, my best friend, at that time.
But I know too well that I don't have the fucking rights.
Aside from that, I know that she likes Kyle, and Kyle likes her too. It seems like they don't get along and often argue, but I can see how they look at each other when they think no one is watching.
There's a familiar emotion that can be seen in their eyes, as if it suddenly shines whenever they see each other. But they're not even aware of it.
So, for now, all I can do is protect and take care of her until they both realize their worth to each other.
I pulled her closer to me and hugged her tightly. 'Everything will be okay. Trust me. We're on your side. We're all here for you." I gently caressed her back to provide comfort.
It's the first time I've seen her like this. She looked like a lost child.
If only I could answer her questions, maybe it could help lessen the pain she's feeling right now.
But damn. We're all clueless and confused too about her true personality.
'What's happening here?"
We were separated from each other when we heard his cold voice.
'Kyle," I called him, but he only looked at Nicole. 'Because..." I didn't finish what I was going to say because he suddenly pulled Nicole up.
'Let go of me! Where are you taking me?" Nicole struggled, but she couldn't do anything.
To my surprise, Kyle cupped her cheeks, and his face softened. It was the first time I saw him like this.
'If you really want to know the truth, come with me." His eyes seemed to speak the unspoken words.
Nicole just stared at him, speechless. It seems like I know what he's planning, and it's only right that everything comes from him.
I stood up. This is their chance to express their true feelings to each other. It's up to them to seize the opportunity or let it slip away.
I know that I'm no longer needed here. I glanced again at Nicole, still lost in thought, and let out a bitter smile before completely disappearing.

Miley's POV
'Have you seen anything?" Reiri asked.
'None. I hope Nics doesn't come back yet."
'Yeah. I hope so too. Don't worry. I'll take care of the things out here. Just take your time."
'Okay. Thanks."
I'm now in Nic's room, currently searching for things that could help us discover her true identity.
Meanwhile, Reiri is standing guard outside. I'm talking to her through my mind. It's convenient that Nics isn't here inside, so I asked her to keep watch outside. It's risky, and we might get caught. I'm running out of excuses.
I peeked under her bed, as well as under her pillow and bedsheets. I even rummaged through her bag and the small drawers on her bedside table, but I didn't find anything unusual.
I didn't overlook the bathroom either. But it's all cleared.
The only thing left is her cabinet. I let out a sigh. I feel so guilty.
'Sorry. I know this is an invasion of privacy. But I really need to do this."
I started opening the cabinet and searching inside. I also opened each drawer inside.
I furrowed my brow. I don't know why, but when I reached the last drawer, I suddenly felt nervous.
I was about to open it slowly. However, as I pulled it, I realized it was locked. I didn't want to do this. But again, I have no choice but to destroy it.
The first thing that caught my eye was something I never thought she would have.
My hands are shaking as I slowly took the familiar necklace out. I stared at it intensely, and there is no doubt that it's exactly the same as Kyle's necklace.
But why does she have this?
Kyle needs to know about this immediately.

Kyle Ethan's POV
When I started feeling better, I decided to leave the mansion. I also needed to see and talk to Nicole again.
Telling her the truth was not part of my plan yet. But when I saw her crying and being embraced by Kira, I suddenly felt...
Jealous.
Yes, I admit it. I feel jealous every time I see them happy together. Whereas when I'm in front of her, she always looks annoyed and angry.
What I want is to be the only one hugging her like that. I want to be the only one she smiles at and the reason for her happiness. I want to protect and take care of her.
I have never been this selfish before. Not until I met her.
I don't know when it started. I just realized that I always want to get her attention.
That's why I do things to annoy and tease her, because somehow she still manages to see and notice me whenever I do that.
Because of her, my heart beats like this, and since the day I saw her hurt, I have wanted nothing else but to protect her.
I don't want to lie to her anymore. So, while it's still early, I will tell her everything. I want to find out if there's any hope for what I'm feeling or not.
Also, I want her to trust me, just like what I told her before. Besides, I know that I can trust her too. I'm willing to take all the risk now.
'Tell me what's the truth. Please." Finally, she managed to speak after a few minutes of staring blankly.
She's really beautiful. I will never get tired of looking at her, especially her round eyes.
Because the very first time I saw her, I immediately felt something different.
'Okay. Close your eyes first." There was hesitation on her face, but she followed anyway.
I tightly held both of her hands, as we closed our eyes. When I opened mine, we were already in our training area, just behind the mansion.
'Open your eyes now."
She slowly opened her eyes, looking around in surprise and confusion.
'How—" I cut her off immediately.
'Listen carefully first, okay? And please understand all the things that I'm going to say."
She opened her mouth, about to object, but she closed it and nodded instead.
That made me smile. 'I know that once you learn the truth, there's a possibility that you might go into a rage and get angry at us. Especially at me. But I hope you won't judge us just yet. If ever you decide to leave this academy, I hope you keep everything to yourself and don't let others know." She kept looking straight at me, trying to understand everything I said.
'Do you know why I suddenly got angry at you the first time we met?" She shook her head.
'Because I thought you were an enemy since you managed to see this mansion where we live. And then I noticed that you weren't wearing your bracelet. Just like now. I was just worried back then that someone from our kind might smell you. Because that bracelet serves as protection for the human students here."
Truthfully, I was fucking worried by that time. For the very first time again, I feel worried about a human being.
She furrowed her brow. 'What do you mean by that? How is this a form of protection?" she asked as she took the bracelet out of her pocket.
I took it from her and put it on her. 'We cast a spell on it. So that whenever you wear it, our kind won't smell your blood, and they won't be tempted. That's also the reason why we try to protect you from getting injured as much as possible. All of us here have been trained to drink with animal blood. But I'm afraid to admit that some of us here may not be able to control their bloodlust."
She swallowed hard, almost holding her breath as she waited for what I would say next. So, I continued immediately.
'Perhaps you're also wondering why we suddenly appear and disappear. I know you've noticed the red liquid some of the students here drink, as well as the two different dormitory buildings. Ours is larger and we have more members. And why our skins and hands appear pale and cold."
She nodded slowly.
'I also know that you're wondering how we became princes and princesses. That's because we're different. We're not one of you, and we're the young royalties of our clan."
She suddenly let go of me and I felt fear engulf me.
I was about to speak, but she beat me to it. And I didn't expect what she said.
'Yes, you're different. Because you're not a human, but a vampire instead." Her voice trembled, but there was certainty in every word she uttered.
I was taken aback. 'How did you—"
She laughed suddenly. 'How did I know? It's simple. Just like what you've said, I've noticed all of that. That's why I did my own research. All the information I gathered points to what you are. I didn't want to believe this at first. That's why I wanted to talk to you first and find out the truth. But now that you mention all of those, you've confirmed my suspicions."
I furrowed my brow as her demeanor suddenly changed. She appeared calmer now, as if she no longer cared about her surroundings.
'Aren't you afraid of us? Of me?" I asked in a low voice. It's as if I am the one who's afraid to know her answer.
She smiled. For the very first time, she fucking smiled at me, and it made my heart beat faster again. She looked even more beautiful when she smiled!
'Of course, I was afraid at first. Because I didn't know how I would face you after learning all those things," she sighed deeply.
'But later on, I realized I shouldn't be afraid of all of you. Because if you wanted to make us your meal or something, we would have been gone a long time ago. Besides, you even gave us this bracelet for protection. So, I know you don't have any intention of hurting us. Moreover, you wouldn't allow a human to study here if your security wasn't tight."
Her words gave me courage. I thought she would freak out and hate us to death once she learned the truth. That in her eyes, we're nothing but monsters, just like what other humans who discovered about us think.
But she's different. She's really different. Because of that, this unfamiliar feeling inside me towards her grew stronger.
'Does that mean you won't leave the academy?" I asked hopefully.
She shook her head. 'Nope. I trust you guys. Because I believe that even though you know I'm a human, Miley and the others are sincerely my friends. I hate to admit it, but they're actually like sisters to me already. So, no worries, because your secret is safe with me. I'm just not sure if I'm safe with you." She laughed with humor. How I love to hear that laugh.
'Of course, you're safe with us. Because we won't allow anything bad to happen to you. We'll protect you no matter what. I assure you that." Overwhelmed with joy, I pinched her nose.
We were both startled by that gesture. But I was even more surprised because she didn't scold or shout at me like she always does.
Instead, she holds my hand that made me freeze on my spot. 'It's really cold," she said as she caressed my cheek. 'Then your skin is really pale, as if you didn't come out for ages." She chuckled.
'I still can't believe that vampires are really true, and I just met some of them here. Isn't it cool?" She smiled even wider.
I just stared at her with my mouth agape. I never expected that she would accept us so easily. If I had known that this would be her reaction, I would have told her sooner.
'Nicole, there's something else I need to confess to you."
She looked at me and straightened up. 'What is it?" she asked, still smiling.
'I... I..."
I scratched my neck. I'm Prince Kyle Ethan Clarkson, and I can't believe that I was stuttering in front of a human girl. What the hell?
Wait, how should I say it?
'You what?" She looked at me intently while waiting for me to continue.
I looked straight into her eyes and let the words that I never imagined saying to her slip out of my mouth.
'I like you."
