Chapter90
"She smashed you. Right?"
I laughed at Keith's question.
"More than that! All I can say is she knows how to treat a man," I smirked at them.
"Innocent Heather??"
"Innocent, huh? I had a few relationships in the past, during my highschool and university years, but no girl, none, made me feel the way Heather does."
"Man, are you serious??"
I laughed at their expressions.
"Why should I lie? Heather is the only chick that's given me so much pleasure that my eyes roll back into my head when I'm with her," I laughed.
"Man!" Max exclaimed.
"Jeezzz! Never judge a book by it's cover!"
"Exactly."
"Man can't you give us more details?" They both complained.
"Fuck both of you. Details my ass."
*
I slept very well that night. I got up early the next day and washed the dishes. I was done when max walked in, in his office wear and a briefcase in his hand.
"Hey pal," I smiled at him.

"Hey," we gave each other our handshake.
"Leaving already?"
"Yeah. Don't wanna be late for work. Keith's still getting ready."
"Oh okay. I'm going to shower and head for the office too."
"Alright. Yesterday was cool. Call me when you'll be needing my help again. Tricking that witch is fun," he laughed and I joined him.
"Sure."
"Okay man, catch you later."
"Yeah."
He soon left the apartment while I hurriedly got ready for work. Couldn't wait to reach work and see how Christina was going.

Heather's POV:
I'd just arrived work in the morning when my mother sent for Sawyer and I. We went to her office of course.
Sawyer and I met at her door and so we entered together. The first thing we noticed was the fact that she had swollen, red eyes and looked very pale. What had happened?
"Sit down," she said and we both did.
"Mom, what's wrong? You don't look good," Sawyer said, worried.
True that our mother was a witch but we loved her just as much as we hated her.
"Your eyes are swollen and you look pale," I added.
"Yeah," she sniffed, "I have something to tell both of y'all."
We listened attentively.
"We're all ears, ma."
She took a deep breath and turned to sawyer.
"Sawyer, they took the million you helped me with."
Our eyes widened.
"What?! Who??"
"I– I was robbed yesterday evening, by two masked guys."
Sawyer gasped. I didn't. I waited to hear the rest.
"You serious??" Sawyer asked.
"Yes. They hacked my car. A few streets away from home, it broke down and they attacked me. Taking the money."
"Oh my gosh," I said. I hoped those who'd done this were Ace and Keith, not real robbers.
"Thank goodness I didn't follow you back!" Sawyer exclaimed. My mother gave her a cold stare, "But thank goodness your safe too."
I felt like laughing but I didn't dare.
"You should call the police," Sawyer suggested.
"I can't dare."
"Why??"
She kept quiet.
"Why??"
"At a point, one of the robbers called me by my name and said how much he wanted to kill me but wouldn't cuz better punishment was coming ahead.
And then, he removed his mask and smiled at me."
What? Ace did that?
"What??" Sawyer and I asked in surprise.
"Yes."
"Who was he?? We know him??" Sawyer asked.
Oh, no.
My heart began to beat real fast.
"I'd never seem him before," Christina replied.
Huh?
"What did he say then??" Sawyer asked.
"He told me that he was Sheridan, and that he was back for me. He is back to revenge."
Now I got lost. Who the fuck was that?
Sawyer's eyes widened in clear shock.
"You're kidding me, right?"
"Why would I lie and cry all night if it wasn't true? Huh? Sheridan is alive!" she said in clear frustration.
Sawyer stood up in fear.
"Thank goodness I really didn't follow you. Hopefully, he doesn't know what I look like."
"He knows all of us. He knows we work in his late father's company."
Sawyer's eyes widened.
"Oh my gosh! I don't believe you. I don't!"
Before my mother could say another word, Sawyer stormed out. My mother broke into tears, her head on the table. I was still confused. I stood up and left her office without a word. I needed Ace to explain things to me.
*
I was laughing like crazy when Ace explained everything to me. His idea was brilliant. Max too had done a great job. After all that had happened, my mother would be so scared that she would sell the company.
Brilliant.
Ace's POV:
"But for a moment, I got so scared. I was like, wait, who did she see that claimed to be Sheridan? I was so confused. Why didn't you tell me about the plan first," Heather asked. We were in my office and she was sitting on my lap.
"I'd improvised. And it turned out to be a success."
"I know right. Mom's traumatised. And her karma is just beginning. I'm still to give her more bad news."
"Really?"
"Yup. Yesterday I sent that copy of the sales of the company to the investor through an anonymous email. He is surely furious when he replied. Might call me and ask to speak to my mother."
"Ouch. She's gonna take that bad."
"Very bad. Well, I better get to my office now," She gave me a short kiss, " see you later my sweetheart. I just love you so much and," she caressed my face and stared into my eyes, "and it still feels like some sweet dream I don't wanna wake up from. My Sheridan," her eyes watered and I knew she wanted to cry. I hugged her tight.
