Chapter 25
"Then this Walsh family is ready to fall into the rocks."
"If you ask me, this Walsh family is really not a thing."
"I'm going to break off my marriage today. I'm sure Alicia will not come back… That was how Edward reacted before."
Natasha heard the conversation and could not listen anymore. She turned and prepared to go back. At that moment, Edward appeared.
They walked together. Natasha was thinking how to speak. They walked to the main hall, they heard the people inside and they seemed to be talking about a lot of things.
Edward stopped and motioned Natasha to be silent. She just looked forward curiously and saw that the couple who came that day were there.
"We came today for the purpose of the marriage of Edward and Alicia." Diana Walsh said with a blunt smile.
Fred looked at the arrival of the two, and he already knew it in his heart. It was just that he still pretended to smile and see what they were going to say.
"I expected you to come today, but what is your main goal for coming?"
"Then let's open the window and get straight." Diana looked at her husband and Fred.
"At the beginning, we especially liked Edward..."
"Your family and our family's spirit was really a great match. Edward is the pride of the whole Salt Lake City, and we are both socialites. If a fair lady and gentlemen are standing together then they really are a pair made in heaven. Our Alicia is also a talented person."
Diana was still boasting and talking, and she did not mean to stop at all.
But Natasha understood it. It seemed that Alicia was particularly excellent, and Edward was also particularly excellent. Otherwise, how could the two people be a match made in heaven?
She secretly looked at Edward's face and saw that he did not have the slightest waves.
"Our Alicia is currently studying abroad for the sake of her future. She cannot come back after reading just 3 or 4 books. It will take years. So I understand that Edward could not wait for her and found another bride. But we have a suggestion."
"What do you mean?" Fred looked at her faintly.
Natasha turned to secretly look at Edward, still no emotion on his face.
"We are willing to give her the price that you gave her, even double. Just forget about this marriage."
Albert spoke and pushed a check to Fred.
He was short of breath. He knew that the Walsh family would break off Edward's marriage. But he did not expect them to humiliate their own family like they have no money.
Seeing that he did not answer, Diana said again, "We are kind enough to persuade you, so do not be ungrateful."
Fred looked at her and said coldly, "At the beginning, it was you who came to tell me that they were congenial and wanted to get married. When something happened to Edward, my family, you refused. Your refusal is really unambiguous."
"The past is already in the past." Diana said carelessly, "Now, can you compare Edward as he was before?"
Her words fell and added, "I do not want my daughter to marry a man who cannot do anything and be a living widow."
When the words came out from her mouth, Fred, who had always been kind, looked at Diana with wide eyes. "What did you say?!"
When Natasha heard what she said, her heart was surprised. When she turned to see the reaction of Edward, Edward had turned cold and went back to the room.
Natasha originally wanted to chase after him, but Sam shook his head seriously and motioned for her not to go.
"I want to go and see him." Natasha chased the door and wanted to enter, but Sam stopped her from entering.
"At this time, let him be and do not disturb him."
"Why?"
"If he was in a bad mood, no one could enter. That is the rule."
"But he cannot get better until I go in and comfort him..."
"He hates being comforted." Sam was very serious and did not seem to lie to her at all, but she was really in a hurry.
She did not know how long she waited. But when Fred sent away the guests, he called them to eat.
"Natasha, Edward, come down and let us eat together." He still looked kind to Natasha.
"Edward, he … heard everything. He refused to come out of the room."
Fred heard it and sighed. "Natasha, you should persuade him."
"Okay." Natasha nodded, regardless of Sam's opposition, she pushed the door and went in.
"This..." Sam Miller was wary about looking at Natasha Quinn.
He wished to express his displeasure with those disturbing Edward Busch at that moment. Natasha Quinn walked in at that point, fearful that it was inappropriate.
Fred Busch had already seen his thoughts at that point. "Do not worry, Natasha is not like the rest of us." Fred muttered.
Sam Miller was still untrustworthy, and he looked at Fred Busch with skepticism.
Fred Busch did not have any suspense but explained and said "After all, Natasha is Edward Busch's wife. Whether we like it or not, the past has passed us by. Alicia Walsh is a little girl. Even though I enjoyed it at the time, it appears that the child is likewise impure. Natasha is unique. Edward is willing to lavish her with gifts. Natasha will not be conceited and selfish. Natasha's mind is straightforward. I don't see anything wrong with that."
Sam said nothing more but hoped in his heart that it was the case.
Edward Busch's attitude towards Natasha Quinn was obvious to all, but they had not been together for a long time, and it was hard to say what would happen in the future.
Natasha Quinn entered Edward's study and saw Edwards back, the curtains were closed, and she did not know what he was thinking, he was just by the window.
Natasha Quinn came in, Edward was aware, but Edward was not in the mood to speak, even if the person was Natasha, he was not willing to say anything more. "Get out," Edward said.
