Chapter 54

Edward stands out from the rest, making Natasha feel at ease. Natasha headed straight home after sending her brother to their mother. Edward had come home from the doctor's office and sat in the living room with his back to the door. Natasha pushed open the door to find Edward sitting quietly at the table. In a moment, an emotion bursts in an instant. She rushed up to him and hugged him from behind. Edward is focused on his work. Natasha instantly embraced him, and he remained still. "I need to get some work done. Don't disturb me, just sit there for a minute. " Edward stated. "I won't," she replies, "but please allow me to embrace you." Natasha's heart is overflowing with emotion. She wishes she could offer Edward a gentle embrace right now and experience the warmth he provides himself. Edward paused his work after hearing Natasha's unusual tone. "What's the problem? Is this about your family?" "No." Natasha had never been so down-to-earth on his way back. "I used to feel alone and insecure whenever I accomplished something important." She looked stunning in front of this gentleman, and it felt great to be at his side. "I just think I miss you a lot." Edward's cold heart warmed as he heard Natasha's words. "OK, only for a little while." Edward despises being interrupted when working, and he has reached his limit. Natasha attempted to smell Edward's scent, especially when he was relaxed. I never imagined that God would send someone like him to my side. "I arranged an appointment with my mum and invited her to dinner. Is Sunday okay? " Edward thought that he would be free on Sunday and could join her. "All right, yeah." Natasha understands that he can not deliberately disrupt Edward's work. She let go and rose to her feet. "Work hard, Edward. I'll wash first." Edward sensed something was amiss as he looked at Natasha. "If there is anything, don't be afraid to tell me if you've been mistreated. I can help you." "Don't worry, Edward, I'm alright. I'm going to take a shower. " Natasha dashed upstairs. Edward smiled softly as he gazed at Natasha's back. Edward had already finished his job while Natasha was taking a shower. In the living room, Edward is talking with Penny. "Why doesn't Jake Hendrix listen to me, you ask? What's so great about this, Maxine Lee? Tell him not to contact her again, but he won't listen. He used to be a nice guy. " "He has grown up and has his own opinions," Edward stated as he sipped his water. "This won't work. If he continues to do this, he will eventually meet Natasha. If Natasha is so good, why is Jake continually picking on her? " Edward's heart plummeted as he heard this. Edward noticed Natasha as he looked up. "Come here instead of standing there." Natasha was irritated when she overheard Penny and Edward's conversation. He kept his prior connection with Jake a secret from Edward, and she lied to him. What should he do if he is eventually discovered? Busch's family is quite generous. Will they despise me even more if this is discovered? Penny stared at Natasha and decided not to continue. "I'm leaving, I don't want to disrupt the newlywed couple's time." said, then walked away. Natasha's face flushed as she heard about the young couple. "Why don't you blow-dry your hair before you come down?" Edward took a glance at her damp hair. "Don't worry, I'm not going to sleep for a long time. Besides, it's so hot that it'll dry in a minute." Edward brushed her aside and directed Aunt Sylvia to get the towel.
