Chapter 88
Edward, who had originally stated that he would return the next day, appeared at the door. Sam pushed him in from the outside. Maxine immediately stood up and said. "Uncle Edward," she says.
Edward glanced at her but did not comment. Sam pushed him to the elevator door and went straight upstairs.
Aunt Sylvia noticed Edward returning early and rushed over to greet him. "Are you okay?"
"Could you please tell me where Natasha is?" She was the first to be sought after Edward's homecoming.
"She took a nap and hasn't gotten up yet," Aunt Sylvia explained. Would you like me to call her? She is dozing off. "
"No, let her sleep," Edward responded.
"Let's go to the study room first," he suggested to Sam.
I made two phone calls on the way, but something remained undone. Edward returned home early.
"Yes." The elevator door opened as soon as Sam was done talking. He shoved Edward in, and Maxine slammed into him. "I have something to say to you, Uncle Edward."
Edward gave her a disapproving look. "I'm really busy."
"It has something to do with Natasha." Maxine bit her lip and clenched her hand.
Talking with Edward made her uneasy.
Jake was having fun. He glanced at her as he heard Maxine's statement.
"Come to the study and see me," he responded after hearing Maxine.
It's pouring outside. The breeze blowing in from the outside feels refreshing. Natasha lies on the huge bed and slowly opens her eyes.
She looked at the clock and realized she had slept for more than two hours, and she was in the process of putting on her clothes and heading out the door.
I arrived just in time for Aunt Sylvia's visit.
"Edward is back," Aunt Sylvia said cheerfully.
"Edward?" Natasha was a little taken aback. "Won't he be returning tomorrow?"
"He's in the study. By the way, Jake's girlfriend is there to talk to Edward. Aunt Sylvia is worried she may annoy them by talking.
"Maxine?" Confused, "What does she need?"
Most of the time, Edward despises Maxine.
"I'm not sure! A solemn phrase. Oh, it appears to be all about you." "Why don't you go have a look now?" Aunt Sylvia suggested.
When she remembered Maxine's request to go down today, she consented and proceeded, threatening to regret it.
Counting Maxine's cards as Natasha stood outside the study door yielded one and only one result, her interactions with Jake.
She originally believed that, because Maxine likes Jake and has been attempting to defame himself in the same way as Jake, she should not make the effort to speak out on the subject.
But what if she told Edward?
Natasha's demeanor immediately became depressing.
She was ready to knock when the door opened from the inside. Maxine noticed Natasha and came out to speak with her. Her eyes were filled with pride, yet she kept a calm and polite manner throughout the conversation. "Can I ask if you've gotten out of bed yet?"
Based on Maxine's face, Natasha surmised that she had said something.
She couldn't be that delighted if she wasn't happy with herself!
"Can you tell me what you need from Edward?" Natasha couldn't stop herself from asking the question.
"Of course, I brought your name to Uncle Edward's attention!" He's extremely interested in what you used to do in school, "she says. The tone of Maxine's voice is relaxed. The next day, I remembered asking you out, but you did not show up by yourself. " "I'm sorry, but I'm powerless in this situation."
Given her previous statements, it is difficult for Natasha to remain with either Jake or Edward for the foreseeable future.
Indeed, even if Jake is enthusiastic, his family will almost certainly disagree with his decision.
She didn't say anything, she simply sat there waiting to see what Natasha would be proud of next.
Natasha snatched her arm from under her shoulder. "Have you told Edward everything?
"Of course, I said everything!" Maxine mentioned something to Natasha that made her a bit uneasy. Natasha, as I previously mentioned, you are unable to change your mind about anything. You should get your stuff together and depart as quickly as possible if you don't want to get picked up by the police. What a humiliating experience! "
"Say it once more!" Using his brows, Maxine mimicked a pair of nasty women's brows, which was rather effective. It's poisonous, that's for sure!
"Do you think it's funny that you're aiming at me?" Natasha was curious. You haven't really thought about it. "What do you think will happen to you and Jake if you say anything like this?
"Break up a big deal!" Maxine was apprehensive about saying it. Even though I ended my relationship with him, I am still Maxine. What exactly do I have to be frightened of? My parents are wealthy, after all. However, if you abandon the Busch family and Natasha, your only option is to return to Edward.
Natasha is unable to obtain what she is unable to obtain.
"Do you consider me with such great regard?" Natasha inquired. "I'd sooner damage my image in front of the Busch family than allow them to harm my reputation."
"You forced me to do it! Natasha, the frightening thing about individuals in this world is that they don't recognize themselves," Maxine said. "You're a farmer, after all. You have no choice except to accept your fate! Don't set yourself up for failure!"
Natasha, in her perspective, is not even deserving of an Edward who is unable to stand.
Natasha does not meet the requirements for this position.
Natasha couldn't help but grin as she looked at Maxine in the eyes. "I will make every effort to convey this to you."
Because Maxine is not reliant on her family's financial resources, she is conceited and believes that she can not compete with her.
She couldn't stop herself from promising in her heart that one day she would prove herself and that Maxine would never speak even a single word of rubbish again.
Maxine, on the other hand, was not convinced and responded, "Then you will work hard!"
She has always thought that people's lives are predestined from the moment they are born.
A person who has nothing, such as Natasha, will find it hard to turn around.
She turned and walked away from Natasha with a blank expression on her face.
As I made my way up the stairwell, I noticed Jake was waiting there. "Can you tell me what you need from my uncle?"
His attention is piqued by the fact that the story is still about Natasha.
Maxine admitted to being guilty at first, but then she grinned broadly on her face. "Don't you want to be with Natasha?" she said as she came up to Jake. "Of course, I'm here to help you!"
"Can you help me?" Jake is filled with self-doubt.
"I informed your uncle about your prior encounters," Maxine explained. Your uncle is well aware of the situation and will very certainly be removed from her. "Do you think you'll have a chance when the time comes?"
Even so, what she thought in her heart was that, if Natasha was driven away, she would never appear in front of Jin again.
Let Edward drive away Natasha and let Jin feel that he helped him, killing two birds with one stone.
Jin was a little surprised. "Did you say that?"
Considering the situation at home, he never dared to say it.
After all, it was his uncle, and now his uncle is in such a state...
But unexpectedly, Maxine said it.
