CHAPTER 37: REAL HUSBAND AND WIFE

"Baby, are you sure, you're okay?" That was actually Alex's question for the ten times since earlier this morning when he picked me up from my apartment. I got dizzy after standing up from the bed and while brushing my teeth. If not for him, maybe I lost my balance and fell with my butt first on the floor. "Yes, hubby. I'm okay, I told you. Maybe I'm just tired because of our dance practice every day." I patted his cheek before I take my seatbelt and wrap it around me. We're actually going to my parents' house because today is Dani's engagement. I'm so excited because I haven't met his bride to be, and this is my chance to meet her finally. "Are you sure, you're not skipping your meals everyday? Breakfast, lunch, dinner-----" "Baby, I'm fine! Don't worry about me. And I'm not skipping any meals, okay? I love you." I smiled as I kissed my two fingers and brought it to his lips. He chuckled at my action. But my husband seemed not contented with my act, because he unbuckled both of our seatbelts before he pulled me on his lap and kissed me passionately. A smile formed on my lips after that. I straddle on his lap as I am going to go back on my seat.. when he cursed. "Fuck, Baby!" he closed his eyes tightly. And because I don't know what he was saying, I moved again but he held my waist to keep me still. "Oh God, Rian! You're such a tease!" he groaned as if he's in pain. "Why? What happened?" I spread my legs to check why he was groaning, but my hands landed on his bulge. And my eyes widened when I realized why. "Ouch!" He complained when I punched his shoulder. "I'm not a tease, you're such a pervert!" He laughed but his hands encircled my waist. "No, Alex!" I glared at him. "What? I'm not doing anything." he shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah, you're not! But your mind is thinking something!" I continued to glare at him. "Baby, can we just cancel this plan.. you know, so we can plan on another 'thing'? For sure Daniel would understand us." and he winked at me. I blushed when I realized what is that 'thing' that he's talking about. "No Alex! You're such a pervert! This is Dani's engagement and I don't want to miss this event!" "But it's just also an arranged wedding and engagement. So what's the-----" "Alexander!" I narrowed my eyes on him. "Ohh.. fine, fine. I'm just kidding baby." he chuckled and started the engine. I smiled to myself but rolled my eyes on him when he glanced at me. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *   "Hi, baby sis." the face of my smiling brother was the first thing I saw when I exited the car. "Ahh.. hi my big brother. I missed you." I run to him and hugged his waist tightly. "I missed you too. Thank you for coming." he kissed my forehead before hugging me again. "Alex, bro." "Daniel."  They both shake their hands and do their manly hug. "Congrats bro, you're finally settling down!" Alex patted his shoulder. "Tss! I wished!" He sneered before shaking his head. Alex and I shared a look at his reaction. "Uhm.. Dani, why are you here? It's your engagement party, you should be at your girlfriend's side." I tried to lighten the atmosphere. "Girlfriend?" Dani looked at me with the same expression on his eyes. "Ohh, I mean 'fiancee'. I'm sorry." I smiled and take his hand. "Tss!" but his face turned more sour  "You seemed not happy, Dani?" I can't help not to ask. "And who would be? She's just into my money!"  I saw how Alex was taken aback by his words. But because I already heard him talking about this 'money' thing about his fiancee, I just bitterly smiled. "Dani, you're judging her already?"  "You haven't meet her Rian. Just go inside and find her." he said in not-so-interested mood. "Wow! Daniel! You're not even going to introduce us?" I asked in disbelief and disappointment and mentioned his full name. Is this how he really hates his fiancee? He can't even introduce his sister to her? "Fine! I'll go with you!" He said rolling his eyes and lead our way inside. I smiled inwardly and winked at Alex when he held my hand. We entered the mansion with a different mood and facial expressions. Dani has a scowl on his face, while Alex and I have the same feeling of nervousness and happiness. Because this is the first time, we're going to face both our parents and our family as a couple and with our hands locked with each other. Of course, Dani is an exemption. "Wow! Honey, did I paint the wall red?" I heard my mom's voice from the corner and I smiled and looked at Alex who's also smiling. "No, honey.. you also painted it with love and happiness." I saw my dad smiling at us with his other hand on my mom's shoulder while the other one has a glass of wine. "Mom, Dad." I hugged them one by one, and Alex also copied my action. "Am I just dreaming, sweety?" my mom asked me while cupping my cheek.  "No, mom. You're not dreaming. Alex and I were actually together now." I answered happily and glance at Alex with pure happiness in my both eyes. "Congrats, son. I'm proud of you. And proud of both you." My Dad hugged him again and patted his shoulder. "Me too, my baby. You're finally a wife now." "Mom.. we're married four years ago, what's the difference with that?" "Yeah, but we all know that you're only married contractually and you both were leaving single, so we can't call you a real wife back then. Not now that you're together, meaning you're now a real couple. A real husband and wife."  We both laughed at mom's explanation. "Wait! Have you... I mean..." her eyes widened. "You mean Mrs. Kelley, if we already consummated our marriage?" I looked at Alex and glared at him. "Yes, sweety. That's what I'm going to ask. So, have you?" she asked wiggling her eyebrow. "Mom-----" "Yes, Mrs. Kelley. We already did... many times." "Huh!" I gasped and glared at him. My face turned into crimson red and I wish the ground to open and swallow me at this very moment.  Why do they have to talk about this in front of me? My God! "Ohh.. congratulations, son!"  They both hugged him and I rolled my eyes at Dani who's smirking at the side. "So, when can we expect a grandchild?"  "Dad?"  I looked at Dad while blushing deeply. I heard Alex and Dani chuckled at me. "Why? It's normal to a couple to make babies.. right Alex?" "Yes, Sir. Don't worry.. we're already in the process." Alex winked at me. And they all laughed together. "Good. Because my son here, has a lot of effort to do to produce one." and it's now my time to laugh at Dani.  His laugh died in mid-air and his face turned sour again after hearing what Dad's comment. Alex parents also joined us and of course, we can't avoid the topic of 'having a baby'.
