Ariel Seeks for His Love
Arielle's POV
With a full heart, I watch as Andrea plays pranks with Bianca and Valentina. Andrea is happy that Lucas , Pablo , Richard, Bianca, and Valentina are staying with me, whereas Bruno Ferdinand is not too happy about it. Bianca and Valentina have been sleeping next to me alternately, making sure I don't fall into a social media-induced depression. To be honest, though, not much is shared these days. Ariel 's scream was heard, and a large number of people removed their posts. It spurred conversations about celebrity mental health and cyberbullying, but we're not the only ones thinking about such subjects. "Arielle ," shouts out. She scowls as she puts their security feed on the TV as I approach her. My eyes enlarge as I see Ariel entering the structure. Bruno Ferdinand groans and grinds his teeth. "Okay, okay, okay. If Warren isn't my least favourite, then He phones the police and asks to have Ariel removed, and Andrea and I just stare at him, our eyes wide. His jaw tightens as he turns to face me. 'You're not walking out of this house unless you choose to. I refuse to give in to his demands. You take as much time as necessary to decide." Lucas approaches me and puts an arm around me. "Agreed," he replies. My heart bursts, and I lean into him. The loss of the family I acquired when I married Ariel was among my greatest fears, but they have assured me that they will always be there for me. 'I'm not sure calling the police was warranted," I reply carefully. Richard gives me a narrowed stare. Naturally, it was. Otherwise, Ariel would have to depart, and you would give in. As the police urge him to leave, we are all watching. Ariel walks out, and I tense, tempted to follow him. I've done my best to determine whether I should leave or stay, but I'm as uncertain as ever. We might have been able to remove the media's sway on me, but that only addresses one issue. Loretta and the child they are having together are still there. Pointing at the television, Pablo exclaims, "Fucking hell." When I peek inside, I see Ariel returning with the Mayor at his side and holding what appears to be a pop-up tent in his arms. He appears to be having a pleasant conversation with the Mayor, who assists him in erecting a tent in the center of Bruno Ferdinand's lobby. 'Is he serious right now?" Bruno Ferdinand asks. Andrea erupts into giggles. "Oh, please, Si," she responds. 'This is exactly the kind of thing you would do. It seems cute to me. I begin to pace as my heart falters. More than everything, I want to run to him and throw myself into his arms, but if I do that, I also need to have the guts to deal with everything that comes with it. "Hello, Arielle?" Pointing out the window, Richard says. Stepping onto the balcony, I look at the helicopter with the banner flying above it as it approaches us. Seven days are indicated. 168 hours are involved. Verify that you are still mine. Valentina grinned. You requested a week, and he granted it to you, after all. It's not your fault that the man shows up as soon as your allotted time is up. Lucas joins me on the terrace and places his arm around me.'How do you feel, Arielle?" I smile at him. "What do you know? I believe I'm prepared to see my hubby at home. It was difficult to see through it all, but overall, the good exceeds the bad. It always will. The first few years might be rough, but I think I can live with it if it means spending the rest of my life with the guy of my dreams. Although I know it won't be simple, I'm afraid, it will be worthwhile. He is worthwhile. He leans his head against me, sighing with relief. "Grateful to God," utters. 'I don't think he'd survive losing you." The helicopter takes off again and swoops down to hover over the balcony. My eyes enlarge as Ariel goes down a ladder that has been thrown forth. "Fucking shit," snarls Bruno Ferdinand. "He drew us out onto the balcony with the flag. He enquired as to your presence. Smart arsehole, fucking that. I shake my head and smile up at the helicopter. He hasn't let me go despite his vow to never let me go. I had a sneaking suspicion that he might be relieved if I left and that he might use the opportunity to get back together with Loretta. I could not have made a bigger mistake. With a smirk on his face, Bruno Ferdinand shakes his head. I nodded, "Your mind is made up, huh?" "That is." "I'll tell you the truth, Arielle. I hope you'll think it over. I had to cut my brother out of our lives for a while, but we got along great today. Had I not taken that action, he would never have realized his mistake. Nor will your sister. "Yes," I reply to him. But when I decide to put up with her, things are different. Even though I'm choosing to return to the lunacy, I believe I'll be alright. When Ariel notices that four of his siblings are standing next to me, he pauses briefly before jumping off the ladder and onto the balcony. 'Well, shit," Lucas and Richard both exclaim at the same time, but Bianca and Pablo calmly look him down, both of them on either side of me. 'I'll deal with you later," Ariel assures his siblings as he goes toward me. I take him in, my eyes roaming over the dark circles below his eyes, the desire in his stare. Even though it will be hell for me to be with him, I'm going to do it with a smile on my face. He whispers, "Arielle," as if he's still astonished that I'm in front of him. "It only took me a week to realize that I couldn't live a lifetime without your presence." If you're not in my life, it's not worth living. Baby, I made a mistake. Now I see that. I never should've let Loretta access to you, and instead of fulfilling Grandma's orders, I should've taken you away from home. I sever all contact with Loretta, I promise you. I've made sure that Grandma is the recipient of all correspondence, regardless of the subject matter. You don't need to be concerned about your sister's health because I've assigned her a full-time doctor and assembled an entire team to help. I informed her that it was a take-it-or-leave-it deal and that whether or not I'd be in the child's life rested totally on her. Everything about her and the baby will be handled by our committed staff. We'll manage everything according to our schedules, and we'll only see her when you're ready. Although I realize it's not enough, it's a start. The rest, I'm sure can work out. He hesitates and runs a hand through his hair. 'I know I'm selfish, but I can't help myself. I've loved you for as long as I can remember, Arielle, and I always will. I wish I could promise you the carefree life that I want to give you, but being with me won't be easy. What I can promise you is that I'll always put you first, and I will do everything in my power to ensure you'll never regret selecting me. So choose me, Arielle. Please come home to me." I smile at him and brush the back of my fingers over his cheek, taking in the absolute fatigue he's emanating. 'Ariel , I would've come home with you even if you hadn't done all that. I cherish you. whatever the circumstances. I'm sorry I lost sight of it. I allowed my self-doubt and insecurities to take me whole, and I tried to see through the darkness. It won't happen again. Ariel , you're my choice. Even if it's not always an easy decision to make, I will always choose you. It's clear to me after just a few days apart that I would much prefer to suffer beside you than go through life alone. He places his forehead on mine and cups my face. "I promise not to let you go through this." "I assure you there will be no cost to be with me. Even though it may be difficult to believe now, I assure you that everything will work out in the end. I give a nod. I tell him, "I do." "You have my full trust." "Let me take you home now." My pulse skips a beat when I nod, and he smiles at me, clearly relieved. I've always wished for my own happily ever after from a fairy tale, but perhaps that's not possible. Perhaps the definition of true love is just two flawed individuals deciding it's worth it to choose each other despite the challenges they will face together. Since it is.
