Chapter 20 (In The Same Bed)

  I can't seem to feel every drop of time with him. I didn't even realize that Christmas was near. It's December; the wind is already cold.   "Sebe's a real gentleman, Natalia. I can postpone our wedding so you can marry him. I can wait." Mama glanced at Eduardo.   "No, ma, we can wait. I'm too young for it." I spoke. We are at the table now and eating. He attended many social events.   Sebastian has been busy with their company.   Many things have happened that I rarely thought were possible in the last few days.   Sebastian then prepared dinner for Mom, and that's where they met.   Moms are really satisfied with Sebe.   I cannot believe it! I am engaged!   ***   I'm in the bedroom now. I don't want to leave or wander around at all. I'm always on my cellphone, waiting for Sebe's call.   I gasped when I saw the three dots moving in the chat box. It means he's typing a message for me.   From Sebe: How's my baby?   I smiled suddenly.   I pointed the camera at me. I never took the reading glass out of my eyes. My hair is loose, and it's a bit curly compared to before. I took my picture and sent it to him.   From me: I'm fine.   After that, my cellphone rang. I took it immediately and answered. I lay down on the bed and hugged the pillow.   "New hairstyle?"   "Yeah, is it good?"   "Yeah, I'm afraid more and more people will like you."   I rolled my eyes. "Shut up."   "I miss you so much."   "I miss you more."   The next day, we have class again. I walk down the corridor and nod to those who greet me.   Everyone knew that we were engaged. Pictures of us were spread around the internet! I don't know if I'm in favor of that.   In the distance, I saw Mike. He smiled widely at me. I raised an eyebrow. It's been a while since our last talk.   "Good morning," he said.   "Good morning."   He accompanied me on my walk.   "So, how's life?"   "Happy."   I was shocked when he touched my hair, and his face became serious.   "It looks good on you." He also noticed my hair.   "Thanks."   "I'd like to invite you later."   I quickly looked at him. "I can't-"   "Ah! It's not a date. It's my birthday today."   I gasped and stopped at the door jamb of the room.   "Happy birthday! Sorry, I do not know."   "It's okay. So, you would go?"   "Yeah, sure."   He eventually gave me his address.   ***   "It's gorgeous." Kylie was amazed as she looked at my wedding ring.   "How about you?" I asked, half kidding.   She sniffed and sipped on her milkshake.   "Not in the plan."   In the afternoon, Sebe called me. I couldn't help but smile. I really miss him. In the parking area, I was shocked when I saw Mike.   Oh! He's still here. I wish I could go straight there and be able to go home early.   He had a call on his cellphone, but he dropped it immediately when he saw me.   I smiled at him.   "I'm going-"   "The birthday boy wants to go with you," Mike said.   He opened the front seat of his car. I hesitated to look there.   On the ride, he was just serious. I can't imagine the beating in my chest. It was as if I had done something wrong.   "Where is that?" I asked Mike shortly after we were traveling.   "You'll find it out later," he lazily said. His look is on the road.   I'm too nervous.   "Mike," I called him. It was late outside, and I didn't really know where he would take me.   "Shut up."   I looked outside.   "Mike, where are you taking me?"   He grinned at me, which gave my system a whirl.   "You will pay Natalia."   I gasped.   "What are you saying?!"   To my horror, I immediately picked up my cellphone and called the person who should be called. Before I could press it, Mike snatched it from me.   "Mike! What are you doing?!" I shouted at him.   I would have opened the door of his car.   I need to get out of here. My chest was pounding too much. Whatever his motive was, I do not know.   Before I could open it, he had already covered my nose. I immediately smelled a strange, poisonous smell. My vision became blurred immediately. It was as if I was slowly falling asleep and losing strength.   "S-Sebe..."   ***   I woke up dizzy. I touched my forehead before slowly getting up. I felt different; my body went numb. My memory of what happened yesterday returned to me, so I immediately stood up and looked around.   I am in a room.   Mike invited me yesterday, but he suddenly changed when we were in the car.   I immediately looked at my body under the blanket. I'm still wearing my clothes. Nothing changed; I checked my undergarments. Okay, I didn't feel anything wrong with my body.   I squirmed quickly. I want to get out of here!   I don't know what Mike's motive was yesterday. Why did he bring me here to a hotel?   I haven't thought about it yet. I immediately grabbed my things that were at the foot of the bed. I immediately grabbed my cellphone there.   I feel like my chest will explode while I'm in the elevator. My tears were endless.   I'm speechless.   I type on my cellphone and no longer read the texts and calls there. My only thought now is to ask for help. Before I could call Kylie, she called me first.   When I answered, I was on the side of the highway.   "The fuck! Natalia! Where are you?"   She immediately opened.   I cried a lot. "Please help me! P-pl-"   "What? Where are you? What craziness did you upload? Are you insane? You're engaged with Sebe. Why are you and Mike together in the same bed?! He'll be furious!" She muttered some curses.   "What?!" The nervousness I felt was overwhelming. I cannot believe this! "I'll explain! Please fetch me, please." I sobbed so bad.   It should not be like this. I'm not at fault!   Why did Mike do that?   Things are happening fast. Kylie picked me up immediately.
