Chapter 19
I can't and I'm on the verge of giving up anytime soon, it's better to give up early. But no way in the hell I am going to accept my defeat without trying.
As I'm standing under the water, I saw Harry walking through the hallway but to my fortune, he didn't notice me yet, and I thanked God for that.
I don't want to face another devil. But my bad, his gaze turned towards my side and his eyes locked with me that made him furrow his brows. First I thought he will mind his business like he usually does until he started to walk towards me, which made me groan internally.
"What are you doing here?" He asked maintaining his same blank composure.
I couldn't read his mind. Does he care? He was the reason why I'm standing here now. Of course, I will blame him.
If he had helped me from the devil on the other nights, I wouldn't have met any accident and would take the whole week's leave and messed my life by lying to the devil.
"How it looks like?" I asked him irritatingly.
"No one in their right mind will ever do the things whatever you are doing now." He shrugged his shoulder as mocking me.
I opened my mouth to say something but closed again, no words came out of my mouth. I glared at him for what seemed to hours but just a minute has passed.
"Are you going to tell me or going to stare me the whole day?"He asked touching my nerve.
"It's because of you I am standing here." I accused him and flinched when the water flow hit my head where I had a slight pain.
"Excuse me." He narrowed his eyes before pulling me out of the water flow.
Mark came immediately and stopped him saying, "She was punished by the President's son." With the floppy voice.
"So?" He raised his brows questioningly.
"He never likes when anyone crosses his path. You might get trouble for doing this," he explained.
Harry smirked and shook his head. "Then tell him to do whatever he wants but I never give any shit to anyone." with that he grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the park.
"What are you doing?" I whispered slowly. I can't believe this, he is doing this for me. I stopped in my track and looked at him straight into his eyes. "You know what, if he knows you helped me, he will do something you will regret. " I pointed out.
"Hmm... I will fa..." His sentence was cut off by a loud voice which was booming through the hallway. We both turned our head to the source of that voice and I shivered not because of the cold water, it's because of his cold tone.
"What the hell are you doing?" he yelled at his face. His face flushed with anger then his gaze turned towards me.
I did nothing. I winced internally.
"You!" he pointed a finger at me. "You are going to regret this, I already warned but you dared to disobey me again." His anger boomed sending a shiver down to my spine once again.
"She didn't do anything wrong then why are you treating her like this? And remember one more thing she is not your slave. She is a student like you. If you are going to treat her like this, you will learn your position." Harry warned like he is my mentor but I know him very well that he is not less than the heartless fellow.
They both held eye stares like they are conducting the game and very adamant to defeat the opponent.
If I was not trapped between these two monsters, I would have bought some popcorn and watch them fighting over.
"Blah blah blah---" Both are not going to give up.
I stood behind Harry and watched the conversation getting heavy. When it seemed never comes to end, Karl directed a punch to his face but Harry caught his fist.
Once again, he attempted to throw a punch but this time Harry bent his head and a heavy fist collided with my face.
In an instant, the whole universe started to shake violently before I saw butterflies everywhere and I passed out.
Harry's POV:
I heard a loud thud behind me while I was trying to catch his fist. If I want I can throw the equal punch on his pretty face but I don't want to be like him.
With heavy force, I pulled him down and when I looked back at her, I saw she was lying on the floor unconsciously with a bleeding nose.
Shit!! I cursed mentally and kneeled down beside her. I shook her body but got no response. My mind dragged me to the day where she fell on the road unconscious.
Without wasting any time, I scooped her into my arm but Karl stepped in front of me and dared to stop me.
"Give her. I will take care of this." He said using his well-authorized tone.
I stared at him like he has grown with two heads. How come he says those words easily? Doesn't he have any shame?
"Well... aren't you the one who hit her in the first place and now you wanted to take care of her?" I asked slightly irritated from his behaviour.
"Look, we both knew I didn't hit her intentionally. Now don't argue with me and give her." He almost demanded but the poor guy doesn't know it won't work on me.
"Then listen carefully. I won't give any shit to you." With that, I turned my heels and went to the medical room.
When I first saw her on the college campus wearing nothing but an innocent look on her face, I felt she is awakening something inside me. I don't know why but I felt something, something I don't want to feel towards anyone, let alone her.
That's why I avoided her all the time. I'm not ready to create any kind of feelings for anyone.
