Chapter 34
After the fine two hours of hunting good dress for Quinn, he asked me to wait for him in the lobby and it's been 30 minutes since I have been waiting for him in the reception.
Why did it take him more time?
Losing my patience I decided to go back to the billing session but he wasn't there. As I was wandering around the mall my sight fell on the familiar figure who has long wavy brown hair. Her back was facing me so I couldn't able to see her face but I can guess who she was.
But what is she doing here?
I took a step forwards to call her but a hand grabbed my shoulder. "I'm looking for you for almost an hour, Sheila. Where you have been?" He asked and before I could explain he dragged me out of the mall.
"Harry, I think I saw Quinn there." He glanced at me but again focused on the road. "It may be a misunderstanding. She went to a movie with Kevin." His focus was solely on the road.
"But I saw her." I protested.
"Did you saw her face?"
"No." I shook my head even though he can't see me. He is so careful when it comes to driving.
"Then how come you can say it was her?" I let out a defeated sigh. He has a point.
When we reached the house, I took all the bags from the back seat and hopped out. I did some shopping for myself since all my belongings were gone.
"Harry-" I stopped in my midst when I watched him struggling to carry all the bags in his arms.
Seems he purchased a lot. But why? He has plenty of clothes and Quinn has so.
"Hey, Sheila." Quinn came and hugged me once I enter the living hall. I hugged her back and set the bags on the floor. I stretched both my hands up and bend my hips to left and right.
Quinn noticed a struggling Harry and walked past me. She helped him to carry the bags and set them all on the floor.
"What is this, Harry?" She asked confusingly, somehow it looked like not real. Why should I'm thinking this way? I shook my negative thoughts.
"Quinn it's all for you." Harry pointed the bag on the floor.
"Why?" She asked while I walking towards my rooms to change my dress. I washed my face and tied my hair for a neat bun. I finished all my regular routine and when I thought to go to bed I heard a loud voice from the living room like a war is going to begin. I strode out of the room as fast as I could and there I saw Quinn and Harry were arguing as Quinn was yelling at him where he seemed in frustration.
"What happened guys?" I asked once I reached the living room. Quinn snorted and folded her arms against her chest before she angrily glares at her cousin. I wonder is this how they usually do.
"Are you going to tell me or not?" I asked her again.
She let out a long sigh and began to explain everything. I bit the corner of my lips to connect the possibilities of all the dots. What if he, no... no... no... What if they did it for a purpose?
I looked between them trying my best to find any clue. But no vain. One has an angry reaction while another has irritation. Kevin came out of nowhere and stood between them like a Jeffrey.
"I think it is a waste of time arguing with each other. Why don't we return the bag back to the mall and buy another exact for her size?" He suggested.
"Yeah, good idea! I agree with him." Quinn glared at Kevin saying If you have any brain in your skull, you don't speak like that.
"Why Quinn, He is right, we can return these dresses and buy another." I voiced out.
"Did you see the tag on the dress?" She pointed a finger towards the dress.
"No." I shook my head. "Then just take a glance over it before you speak." I took the dress in my hand and facepalmed. 'Not For Return' was written in block letters along with the price tag.
"So, what are you going to do? We can't waste these dresses, it's worth the cost." I suggested.
Harry seemed to think a bit and came towards me. He took both hands and raised in the mid-air. "Why don't you keep this? It will fit you." His eyes shone with a victory where I looked at him in disbelief.
Quinn clasped her hands like a child and ran towards me. "Yeah, he is right. It will fit you. You can have it. Please say yes, otherwise I will go crazy. Just imagine how I will look like when I wear these tight clothes. I will die of lack of oxygen. I can't even take a single breath. Please save me, Sheila. You are my saviour now." She pleaded.
"I can't, Quinn. These are a lot." I tried to point out.
She glanced back at Harry and began to yell at him. "That's why I told you to throw these dresses and get rid of the problems."
"Quinn, are you serious?" I looked at her like she was coming from another planet.
"Then tell me, Sheila, what can I do? You do not even accept this dress. Then who will be, it's better to throw the dress." She said frustratingly.
"Okay fine, I will have this. Please don't argue further. It's already too late. Shall we eat? I am dying of hunger." I lied to divert her mind. Harry and I already ate before we reach the mansion.
"Yeah sure, Sweetie." She hugged me and took all the bags in her hand before began to walk towards my room while here I'm suspecting their act. How it's possible...
"Thanks, Sheila, If you hadn't accepted these dresses, she would have smacked my head off." I half smiled at him and stood there awkwardly.
