Chapter 71
Rayhana continued to converse with dalia as she laid there on the three seater while she rubbed her baby bump from time to time. The two men came in a little while later and joined them in the living room.
After they had eaten dinner, muhsin stood to leave. Dalia looked at him with pleading eyes. He raised his brows and smiled. Rayhana looked at them and chuckled. "Why don't you go accompany him out to his car?" She said to dalia. She ducked her head, blushing. He said good night to them again and headed out before dalia followed him.
He rested his back on the car and folded his arms on his chest while waited for her royal majesty to approach him. He raised his brows again, waiting for her to speak up. "Are you really going to leave me here? I mean it's too early...." She paused and turned her head away. "Did I hear you right? Someone wants me to stay but doesn't want to admit it, huh? Is that how much I am being loved?" He smirked at her.
"That's not what I mean.... Stop putting words in my mouth and confusing me." She stomped her feet on the concrete floor. He laughed heartily. "Okay, I am sorry. But I do have to leave now. I am so so tired. I had a long day and all I need now is to think of you before sleep finally takes me away."
Her cheeks heated and flushed as she tried to restrain herself from smiling but that wasn't possible to hide it. "But you'll call me when you get home right? But I only want to know if you've gotten home safely." She spoke innocently. He stared at her for a little before his smile widened and he nodded, "as soon as I settle down, I promise, I'd call." She smiled and nodded her head. They said good bye to each other before parting ways.
A while later, he found himself walking towards his entrance door as he dialed Yusuf's number again but he wasn't picking. He hissed and returned his phone in his pocket. He would deal with him for not answering any of his calls later.
He unlocked the door and entered. She swiftly rise to her feet and took the glass cup and threw it his way but be luckily dodged it. She took another one together with a plate and threw it at him again but he couldn't dodge the second one. "Amira? What on earth is wrong with you?" He yelled at her. He rubbed his forehead and winced in pain. She took another plate but before she could throw it at him, he snatched it away from her.
"If you don't call off that wedding I swear, you wouldn't sleep one bit in this house tonight." Her eyes narrowed as she breathed furiously. He scanned her puffy red eyes to her cracked lips. He heaved a sigh and looked away from her. He scanned the scattered lining room to the plates and cups she arranged on the centre table to attack him with. "Are you trying to kill me, amira? Why are you doing this when you know nothing would change my mind. Your threats aren't even that convincing, please you should think of another way because this is bullshit to me."
She felt a pang in her chest but she laughed it off. "Is that so? Then we shall see how you'd sleep in this house. You better come back here, I am not done talking to you." She quickly followed him when he started walking away without hearing her rants.
He shut the door close and locked it before she could reach there. He plop in his bed with a long sigh as he listened to her bang on the door while she rained curses on him.
He hissed slightly and stood up before he undressed and headed into his bathroom to take his bath. By the time he was out, she had left the door. He heaved a sigh of relief and sat down on the vanity stool.
He was almost done dressing up to sleep when his phone started ringing. He picked it up before his lips curved upwards. "I was about to call you, but you beat me to it." He settled down by the edge of the bed as he held the phone to his ear. "I was worried something happened. It's been almost an hour and you said you'd call when you get home but you didn't," she lamented. He smiled and tried to suppress his laughter. "I'm so sorry I didn't call when I was supposed to. I got caught with something. I arrived home safely and aren't you supposed to be studying?" He asked her and she slightly whined.
"I was worried.... I..." Her words trailed off. "You what?" He asked her but she never answered. "You should study now, okay? Don't let anything bother you. Everything is going to be fine." She smiled and nodded her head as if he was in front of her. "Sleep well. I will call you during Subh." She ended the call before he got the chance to respond to her.

She sauntered down the stairs and found her way to the dining room to have her breakfast. Rayhana raised her head up from her plate and looked at Dalia. Dalia ducked her head and greeted her. "Good morning, all this fancy dressing for my nephew? Lucky him," she spoke teasingly. Dalia smiled sheepishly as she fiddled with her fingers.
