Chapter14:Killer
Frost is the first one to sit down. The room is packed with all 14 of us. We just started lockdown 2 days ago, but I got back today. I looked for Sienna, but it seems she didn't want to be found. And River wanted to get the meeting done. He was going to be streaming in, since he decided to do his lockdown from his house. Zero and Beggar decided the same.
Their places were under surveillance, so if something looked suspicious and we needed to hightail it to their places we could.
Zero sets up the projector and the screen splits with Zero and Beggar on one side and River on the other.
"As you all know, we are now under lockdown, doesn't mean we should let our guard down and just lie low. We started negotiations with the Chainsaws again. The President isn't buying into Natasha's story, so our next plan of action would be to find out who killed the guy and hand the person over," River says.
"Did Natasha say anything to you on the way to Liston?" Snakes asks me.
"No," I tell him honestly. Thing is I hardly said two words to her on the way. I wasn't the best of company. My mind was all fucked up with Sienna, and the rejection she delivered.
I knew she felt something for me, I just needed to find a way to get her to admit it.
"Alright, Storm will talk to you guys about shifts and the rest of the stuff. I need to get some things handed to National. DOES anybody else have something to add?" River asks, and I can see he is tired.
Frost stands up, she is in the middle of the room, wearing a blue jumpsuit, "I'm claiming Storm's ass," She says.
And I take a deep breath, so I don't pull her out of here by her ear. Everyone else just starts laughing and talking.
River looks like he is holding his own choice of words down.
"That isn't how it works," Storm says and I take a step deeper into the shadow.
"Are you a sexist," After stands up flicking her knife.
"No," Storm says, looking at After's knife.
"Then what's the problem? We good to be member, why the fuck can't we claim someone?" After stands up for Frost and I watch the men start to squirm.
Storm laughs, and wisely doesn't look at me.
"Fine, I'll take it."
I say nothing, and listen as the other discuss duties and other nonsense. I give my sister a minute before I follow her out and stay behind her as she walks to Storms room. He runs after her, ignoring me, which is a good move.
"What are you doing?" Storm asks her, looking all kinds of worried. I stay by the staircase and watch both of them.
"Moving in."
"This is my room," He says like she didn't know that.
Frost puts her hand on his chest, and it is funny how his eyes widen.
"Sugar you either sleeping right here next to me or you can go downstairs, there is a sofa with you name on it and blue balls."
They have a stare off and eventually Storm smiles. shaking his head.
He kisses her head, "I missed you. Was wondering when you will stop the waiting game." I decide to leave them for now, because my stomach feels like it wants to be emptied on both of them. I don't miss the sneaky glance Frost gives me. My sister was playing a dangerous game, I hope she was ready for the fuck fest she was asking for.
"Killer can we talk for moment," Snake asks from my bedroom door. I pause my game and put my remote down on the bed. My hands go behind my back, as I arch my brow.
"River wants an update on Sienna's situation. Did you get any head?"
"Not yet, she's rejected me after every turn. Texas suggested giving her what she wanted, I'm trying but she refuses to take it."
Snake rolls his eyes and closes my door. Snake and I grew up together, like me we never belonged in Liston Hills, but where I had no emotions, he soaked in it. Which made him more dangerous, because emotions is what turned people into monsters and sick fucks. The club kept him grounded but I wouldn't want to see the day he got pissed off.
"So what? You decided to lay on some killer charm and thought she'll fall into your hands like putty? What's next, ask her to marry you?"
I shrug my shoulder, it crossed my mind. I needed a wife anyway and Sienna came with a kid so I didn't have to worry about having my own.
"Marry her, get the shit we want and kill her. Seems like a sound plan."
The door opens and Sienna walks in as Snake steps back. She is looking at me like she hates me.
"You were using me?" She asks, and I don't move a muscle. Snake stands there, not sure whether or not to leave.
"You didn't really think I wanted you did you? I told you before you are a cancer. You infest everything you touch." It's a low blow, but I want to hurt her, and for once I am not sure why.
Her eyes fill with tears, but she stands there, staring at me, "What did you hope to get from Killer, huh?" She says my name like it's bitter in her mouth.
I get up slowly from my bed, not missing Frost and Storm standing by the door.
"I want the file, I told you." I'm honest, it is what I have always wanted from her, and I am not ashamed of my actions.
She shakes her head, and stares at me with those light green eyes that have kept me awake for years.
"Then find it, because I told you there is no FUCKING file, alright," She yells and her chest rises and falls in quick succession.
I walk closer to her and Storm, Frost and Mercy enter the room. My head tilts to the side and I stare at the woman who is a shade of the girl I once knew.
"Then maybe I should just kill you now." My mind snaps and my body turns into the killer I was born to be as I grip her by her neck. The room erupts around me but that isn't what stops me, it's her fucking eyes.
Those eyes stare at me, and I can't help myself when my mouth descends on hers.
Our lips lock and everybody else isn't important. Sienna pushes me away and I stand there, as she slaps me across the face and walks out.
Nobody stops her.
Frost and Mercy leave to follow her and Snake and Storm walk closer to me. I look at the empty doorway.
"What the fuck just happened?" Storm asks, and I can't form any answer because truth is I don't know myself.
"Killer is in luurrvv," Snake says, and i don't bother denying that.
"Yeah, and by the sounds of it he fucked that up properly."
Storm is right on target there.
I knew I was feeling something the other day at the lake and I knew it 10 years ago too. She was too young then, so I let her go and learned to cope by focusing on everything else.
Hunting Lucca down helped with that a lot but she haunted my fucking dreams and then out of nowhere, she showed up.
When she showed up, I thought of every reason why she needed to die and convinced myself she was trouble. But the only reason Sienna Bray is trouble is because she ruffles me in a way that isn't in my DNA.
