CHAPTER 32; Give it time

Tina sighed. She doesn't want it to appear as if she was exposing Isabella's weakness. But she can't be lying either. Her mood can lead to depression and no one can underestimate the extent to which depression can make one do something terrible. They should help Isabella in any way possible. That's what friends do for each other, to be a source of support to each other. They needed to be the shoulders that Isabella leans on in times like these. She wasn't told to tell Jordan, but she would tell him all the same. "Isabella doesn't look well after her argument with Kunle back in the office. And she wouldn't tell me what's wrong with her either"Tina disclosed. Jordan became expressionless and focused on the steering. He didn't say a word for a while. He knew why Isabella had mood swings even if Tina doesn't. He would find time and talk things over with them. First, he would talk with Kunle and then Isabella. It's time they give each other another chance. Tina glanced at Jordan. Isn't he going to say something to all she just said? "Aren't you going to say something?" She asked. Jordan chuckled and said "give it time" if Isabella wants her to know that she and Kunle both had something in the past, she would tell her herself. Tina nodded. Tina transferred a copy of the recording to Jordan. He also needed it to solve any puzzle he Might want to work on. They arrived at a supermarket and Jordan paused. He excused himself and went to get an ice cream. He got mineral water for himself and an ice cream for Tina. He doesn't know what she likes, so he bought what Rachel used to like. When he returned and handed Tina the cup of ice cream he bought, she was so excited. She whistled quietly and thanked him. Jordan smiled and nodded. That's how Rachel behaves whenever he buys her an ice cream. He doesn't know why women like it so much. He can't remember when he bought one for himself. All he knows is that Rachel would scoop a spoon of ice cream into his mouth and force him to gulp it down. After she died, he only buys it for either Jora or Isabella. Besides them, no one else except his mother once in a while. "How did you know that the one with vanilla flavor is my favourite?" Tina asked, scooping a full spoon. "Because that's Rachel's favourite also" Jordan answered. He guessed and it was correct. She likes what he bought just like Rachel. "Wow.. that means your Rachel and I have something in common"Tina chimed and before Jordan could access what she was saying, she took the scooped ice cream and took it to his mouth. He drew back and wanted to dodge it before she forced him to take it. He took it and smiled. "Thank you for forcing me to share with you" he teased her. Tina smiled and said he should have a taste of it. She would keep feeding him until the last spoon. Jordan said no, but she insisted. They both started laughing. He was happy, she was teasing him and like she said, they ended up sharing the ice cream. He didn't know she would be this excited about it, he wouldn't have bought two. Though he doesn't fancy it, he takes it all the same. "Thank you Tina" Jordan said finally when he arrived at the door of Isabella's apartment. She glanced at him, he looked happy and cheerful. It wasn't like the Jordan she had met at the Amusement park nor the one she's been working together with. He looked different, younger and more handsome. She likes his looks and knew he would always be like this when he is with his wife. He hadn't stopped mentioning her name at intervals. And from the way he was saying it, it appeared he loved her greatly. " You are welcome" Tina opened the door and was going to step down when she added, " my regards to Rachel. Hope to meet her soon" Rebecca returned home. But before she got into the Mansion, she didn't forget to remove her disguise. She pulled the clothes off and dressed in her usual dress. Walking a few distance away, she dumped the clothes in the waste bin and got back,and subtily sneaking into the Mansion. Kitty's parents were worried, especially her mother. She had sleepless nights since her daughter passed away. The family doctor was always at the Mansion, attending to her. She wouldn't eat and couldn't sleep. A few minutes after Rebecca walked in, she saw Dare Wilson walk out with the doctor. She pretended to be at the security stand and simply walked away. "How is she doing, will this not affect her health?" Dare Wilson asked, being concerned about his wife. The death of their daughter had made her recoil into self depression. She blamed herself over and over for not being a good mother to her daughter. Perhaps, if she had drawn closer to her, known her in and out, she probably might not have ended up dead. But she neglected her. She assumed she was grown up and left her to herself. But their disagreement later drifted them far apart. What she wanted to know, she didn't get to know till her death. Will her soul forgive her for not answering her numerous questions? " She will be fine. She's gradually fallen into depression sir. I would ask that you help her come out of this by talking her into discarding the thoughts that she was to be blamed. I believe with the drugs and injection I gave her, she will be fine soon" the doctor replied and Dare Wilson appreciated him, after shaking hands with him, he watched the doctor drive off. Dare Wilson stood transfixed at the spot where he talked with the doctor. What is happening about the investigation, had they found out anything? He turned and returned back into the Mansion. He went upstairs to check on his wife and found her still lying quietly on the bed. She wouldn't talk but stayed calm and sobbing. He guessed she had lost the strength to sob anymore. All she does is lie down and fix her eyes on an object as tears gradually run down her cheeks. Dare Wilson looked at her, and shook his head. He went to sit beside her and told her everything will be fine. The killers would be brought before the law. As Soon as the investigation is over, her corpse would be released to them. He covered her with the quilt and let her sleep off.
