10. Great Praise
"Don't you remember papa at all?" Eston looked in disbelief watching Stellina showing signs of amnesia.
On the other hand, Stella didn't say anything for a few seconds. Before then shaking his head.
"No, I don't remember who you are," Stellana replied. "But... papa? You are my papa?"
Eston nodded his head enthusiastically. His steps drew closer to the edge of Stella's bed. The look in his eyes turned sad, as if his firmness and ferocious aura had evaporated somewhere.
"Vellina, I am your papa. I gave up my work in Belgium so I could come back here. I don't want anything to happen to you," replied Eston, whose voice no longer sounded full of anger.
Nobody spoke. Even Diego and Fabian exchanged glances once again. The two of them had already guessed that Eston would melt after seeing Stellina's state.
"Sorry, I still can't remember anything," Stellina answered, before long grinning while holding her temples. "I'm dizzy. My head really hurts."
Suddenly the two male nurses who had understood Stellina's hint because of their plans all approached in unison. They pretended as if they were checking how Stellina was doing.
"Do you still see the firefly in your sight?" asked one of the male nurses.
Stella just nodded her head, though she didn't quite understand what the male nurse's question meant. Stella took a deep breath.
"Then you still really need rest."
Eston looked at the male nurse who had just mentioned the child's condition with a look of concern. On the other hand, the door of the room opened. The figure of a doctor who had been given a briefing by Diego entered this room.
The doctor was with one nurse. The two of them, after one step in and had a moment of silence, glanced at Diego. He noticed Diego's finger gesture at him.
Without giving any reaction to Diego's finger gesture, the doctor approached Stellina. Suddenly the doctor's arrival made Eston spontaneously move to the side to provide more space.
"Doctor, please check my daughter's condition more carefully. Why doesn't he remember me?" asked Eston, sounding very worried.
The doctor, while preparing to examine Stellina, said, "Based on the results of the examination that we had a few hours ago, the patient had a fairly strong impact on the brain, sir. There is a disturbance in the nerves which makes some memories unable to last long in the brain. "
Hearing the doctor's explanation, Eston couldn't hold back his surprise anymore. Eston immediately straightened up and became even more intrigued.
Unfortunately, the doctor nodded in response to Eston's guess.
"That's right. He has amnesia, sir," replied the doctor. After completing the examination, the doctor sighed heavily. "Luckily even though the brain impact was strong, he was able to wake up from the coma. His physical injuries weren't too severe. The amnesia wouldn't last long."
Eston's body still went limp after hearing the doctor's explanation. Instantly his gaze changed to that of a dazed person. This made Stellina secretly feel that she couldn't bear to witness Eston's grief.
For some reason, Stellina imagined that Eston was her biological father. Stellana wouldn't be able to stop herself from seeing the uneasiness on her father's face.
"It won't last long, but he still has amnesia..." Eston said very softly as his body slowly almost swayed. Eston immediately removed the small, short-rimmed glasses at the bridge of his nose, then gave small massages there.
"How did this happen?" asked Eston groaning angrily.
Diego felt a bit guilty for making Eston have to accept fake news like this. But he also couldn't tell that Stellina wasn't Vellina, Eston's biological child. It would be a real shock for Eston to find out about it.
Even now, Eston is like a man possessed when he finds out that Stellina has had an accident and has amnesia.
"You!" Eston suddenly pointed at Diego. His eyes glared full of anger. "This is your responsibility, Diego. You can't take good care of my son!"
Diego only bowed as an apology as well as great respect for Eston. He didn't want to say anything, because Eston wouldn't understand.
"Can... can I... rest?" Stella once again said. Deliberately showing his tired face.
"My head hurts so much when there are too many people in here. I need to calm down." Once again, Stellina tried to incite Eston to leave the room for a moment.
Stellina was well aware of the unpleasant atmosphere between Eston and Diego. The two of them wouldn't be able to be put together in one room if Eston's state was still harboring anger.
"Ah, that's right. You need a lot of rest, Miss Vellina. What happened to you must have shocked you," said the doctor after just listening to the conversations around him.
Then the doctor's gaze shifted to Eston. "I'm sorry, sir, but you have to get out of this room. So do the others. The patient needs some time to cool off."
Hearing what the doctor said, actually Eston did not immediately agree. Eston glanced at Stellina and couldn't say anything. Especially seeing Stellana's eyes that imply a request.
Despite being forced to, Eston finally nodded his head. Because he didn't want anything bad to happen to Stella.
"All right. You really need to get a lot of rest, Vellina," replied Eston who gave in. "Papa will come out of this room for you to calm down. But, you, Diego..."
Again the direction of Eston's gaze turned to Diego. He had looked at Diego for a few seconds through sharp eyes.
"I won't let you escape responsibility. You stay in this room, take care of Vellina." Eston gave Diego a tone full of emphasis and warning.
No objections. No refusal.
Diego nodded once and was full of obedience. He let Eston go with his right hand man, striding out of the room. Eston's movement was followed by a doctor, a nurse and two male nurses.
As long as they were all out, except for Eston and his right hand man, Diego gave a thumbs up. As if giving praise as well as a sign of gratitude for working together to help him.
After everyone left the room, only Diego and Fabian were left.
Suddenly, Stella immediately let out a very long breath. The tension just now had completely worn him out—his heartbeat wouldn't stop pounding!
That was why Stellina had deliberately looked for a way to get Eston and the others out of this room. Apart from the very thick situation of tension between Eston and Diego, Stellina wanted to calm down after acting.
It turned out that facing Eston who was soft on him was much more thrilling. How could Stellina lie to a father who loves his daughter so much?!
"Sir, you are injured a lot," said Fabian, who commented on Diego's face.
Diego just pushed his face away from Fabian's hands that were about to touch him. There was nothing he wanted to say at that time to Fabian or Stellina.
The atmosphere in the VVIP room turned silent after everyone, including Eston, left. It wasn't just Stellina who felt relieved, but also Diego and Fabian. Even so limp Diego immediately threw the body onto the sofa.
Diego leaned the back of his head against the back of the couch. Staring at the ceiling of the room.
"Did I do something wrong?" Unfortunately, Stellina was actually worried about another problem because Diego and Fabian didn't say anything to her.
Diego and Fabian did not answer for a moment.
Stellina hadn't been completely relieved before hearing Diego's comment about how her act had been just now. With hopeful anxiety, her eyes stared at Diego for a few seconds.
"Hey, you can't answer me?" asked an irritated Stella.
Diego immediately raised his head. "Do you want to know, did you make a mistake or not?" he asked, earning a head nod in response from Stellina.
Then Diego's sitting position slowly turned upright. Diego put his hands interlocked in his lap.
"The answer is... you really did pull off the role I wanted!" Diego suddenly clapped his hands, instantly his face turned enthusiastic.
Only then could Stellina feel complete relief. Stella smiled.
"I was so worried about making a mistake," said Stellina.
"Hey, you don't even look nervous at all!" Diego praised Stellina with both eyes sparkling. He turned to Fabian. "You saw that too, didn't you? Wow, you sure are good at acting. There was some tension, and you can still think about getting Eston's attention?"
Stella couldn't answer anything. But hearing Diego's words, he even felt uncomfortable. Her head was down so Diego wouldn't see her expression now.
'Stellina, you get credit for your talent!' Stellina's mind couldn't contain her joy.
