Chapter 31 Assurance

Rico and Dina were holding each other's hands when they arrived home. The old Ballestros couple immediately noticed it and was elated to see them like this. Dina was too shy and she immediately pulled out her hand from Rico's grip. However, Rico was fast enough to catch her hand again. He held her hand tightly so that Dina won't be able to withdraw it away again. The old Ballestros couple were both smiling from ear to ear seeing Rico's sweet gesture towards Dina. 'Mom, Dad…. I think Dina should move and sleep to my room starting today.",Rico suddenly declared when they were sharing their meal together. Dina choked with Rico's sudden decision and her face turned red due to embarrassment. The old couple were surprised but happy as well. 'You said that you want to have a grandchild, right?", Rico added. Dina's face became even more redder while Rico's parents were smiling and nodding happily. 'Oh! It has been my dream to have a little child running around the house again!",Rico's mom merrily agreed and couldn't contain her happiness. 'Mom! Rico! What are you talking about?! You've gone crazy!", Dina exclaimed while still blushing. 'It's okay Dina… you don't have to be embarrassed. You know that I love you, right? And I am sorry that it took too long for me to realize how much I love you. It's normal for couples to have a child.", Rico teased while Dina is still blushing. Dina felt so embarrassed to what Rico is saying in front of his parents. 'Yes, my child. Please do grant our wish immediately as we are already getting old. We feel lonely and sad everytime you go to your work. I think the house wouldn't feel to lonely if it would be filled with happy laughter from little kids. Rico is our only child that's why we miss having a kid to take care of… it feels like it has been a long time already.", Rico's ded said as if taking Rico's side. 'My child, it has been our dream that one day both of you would eventually like each other… and now it happened already, there's no reason for you not to have a baby ASAP.", Rico's mom added. "See? You heard what mom and dad said…", Rico teased Dina and went on to wrap his arms around her. Dina was both surprised and embarrassed. She immediately pulled away from Rico. 'H-hey! Stop it! Don't get near me!", Dina complained while blushing and she was too embarrassed to face Rico's parents. She hurriedly ran to her room. 'I'll lock my room!!!", Dina yelled at Rico. Rico and his parents were laughing. They were amused to see Dina's innocent reaction. 'My son, be gentle to Dina. Don't be too aggressive with her.", Rico's mom advised him. "I love to tease her mom… she looks too adorable when surprised.", Rico answered couldn't even hide his smile. He is too happy. 'I am so happy to see you like this my son! This is indeed a miracle!", his mom happily commented. 'You should take care of Dina, child. You are her very first boyfried… uh no, you're already her husband. Haha!", Rico's dad laughed happily too. Both Rico's parent are so happy to know that the young couple had finally fell in love with each other. "Yes dad… I will.", Rico answered sincerely from the bottom of his heart. He has no plans to let Dina go or give her to someone who really wants to take her away from him. He won't allow it to happen… Because I am Dina's husband… and that fact will always be true. Until the day I die, no one can take the woman I love away from me .,Rico thought and he is devoted with his words, determined to do it at all cost. That night, Dina was not able to sleep immediately. It feels like she is still dreaming. She is so happy and she couldn't believe it… although she is happy, there is still a part of her that is bugging her. She wasn't able to ask Rico one important question… because she is scared. If she asked Rico that question… Rico might changed his might and all of this happy feeling would suddenly vanished in one snap of a finger. Atlhough she is scared that everything would disappear… she knows she still needs to ask it… she doesn't want to be greedy and selfish, it is not her personality. Rico… How about, Alice?, is the question that has been bothering Dina . The question she wanted to ask but couldn't until she fell asleep thinking about their complicated situation. The next day, Dina woke up and had just gotten out of her room when Rico greeted her with a warm hug and smile. "Goodmorning, my wife!",Rico greeted while Dina is locked inside his arms. Dina blushed, she is not used to Rico being such a Romeo. 'Hey stop it! You're creeping me out!",Dina complained. 'Why?", Rico probed as he hugged her even tighter. Dina pushed Rico away because she is still embarrassed and she is not used to being treated like a baby. 'Mom is looking at us!", Dina reasoned out. Rico just smile and instead of letting her go, he gave her a kiss on her cheek. Dina was so surprised while Rico's mom is amused of the young couple's sweetness. 'Okay that's enough. Come here and eat your breakfast… too sweet, bees would start to follow you both everywhere.", Rico's mom said smilingly. Dina's day had just started but she is already happy. Never in her wildest dreams did she expect that this one simple happy day would caused her a long time of sadness and tears.
