Chapter 031
~~Hailey~~
As I walked through the front door, my mind was still reeling from my encounter with Evans. His words kept echoing in my head, "Maybe then you'll trust me again." I couldn't shake off the feeling that he was hiding something from me.
The guards followed me into the house, carrying the groceries I had bought. As we entered, I noticed that the maids were acting strangely. Some of them were fussing over my bag, while others were guiding me upstairs, massaging my shoulders. I exchanged a skeptical glance with one of the guards, but he just shrugged.
As I reached the top of the stairs, I saw my mom sitting in her wheelchair, a sly smirk on her face. "Mom, what have you been up to this time?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
She just shrugged, her eyes glinting with mischief. "Nothing, I just want them to take good care of you. You must be tired from driving around today, aren't you? They're just here to make sure you get enough rest."
I narrowed my eyes, suspicious of her motives. But before I could press her further, she added, "Go on, go have your bath and come back downstairs. The maids have started preparing dinner."
I was led into Aiden's room, and then into the bathroom, where a warm bath was waiting for me. The water was filled with rose petals, and the scent was intoxicating. I slipped into the jacuzzi, feeling the warm water soothe my muscles.
As I closed my eyes, I felt my tension melt away. But when I opened them again, I realized that my towel was missing. I was certain I had left it right next to the jacuzzi.
I got out of the water, feeling a chill run down my spine. I wrapped my arms around myself, feeling exposed. That's when I saw the towel, neatly folded on the bed.
Maybe I was mistaken, I thought. Maybe I didn't bring the towel into the bathroom after all. Stress could play tricks on the mind.
I walked out of the bathroom, intent on grabbing the towel. But just as I reached the bed, Aiden walked in, his eyes locking onto mine. We stood there, frozen in time, our bodies numb.
The air was electric with tension, and I felt my heart pounding in my chest. Aiden's eyes roamed over my body, and I felt a flush rise to my cheeks. I was acutely aware of my nudity, and I felt vulnerable.
But Aiden didn't move. He just stood there, his eyes burning with intensity. I felt like I was drowning in their depths, unable to look away.
Aiden's eyes locked onto mine, and I felt a jolt of electricity run through my body. He took a huge gulp down his throat, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down. "Uhm... you, uhm..." he stuttered, his eyes fixed on my towel-clad body.
I felt a flush rise to my cheeks as I realized he was struggling to speak. "What are you staring at?" I fired at him, my voice firm but laced with amusement.
Aiden's face turned bright red as he looked away, his eyes fixed on the door. "Uhm... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry, I just wanted to take my bath," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.
I felt a pang of sympathy for him, realizing he was just as embarrassed as I was. "You can turn around now," I said, my voice softer as I tied the towel around my chest.
Aiden turned around, his eyes locking onto mine once again. This time, however, there was a hint of mischief in his gaze. "You two better get started with what I want, you hear me?" Aiden's mom's voice echoed from the other side of the door, followed by a mischievous laughter.
Aiden's eyes met mine, and we both knew that my mom was up to something. "Mom?!" We both yelled in unison.
Aiden turned to look at me, his eyes locked onto mine. "Mom," he said, trying to strike up a conversation.
"Yeah," I replied, my head still down, waiting for someone to make the first move.
The tension between us was palpable, and I could feel the air thickening with anticipation. Aiden's eyes roamed over my body, and I felt a shiver run down my spine.
"You know, even with your bump, your body looks breathtaking," Aiden said, his voice low and husky.
I felt a flush rise to my cheeks as I looked up at him, my eyes locking onto his. "Oh really? So how long did you stare?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Aiden's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled. "Not long enough," he replied, his voice dripping with desire.
I felt a spark of electricity run through my body as Aiden's eyes locked onto mine. The tension between us was almost unbearable, and I knew that we were both thinking the same thing.
Aiden took a step closer to me, his eyes never leaving mine. "You want a drink?" he asked, his voice low and husky.
I shook my head, my eyes still locked onto his. "No, the doctor said it isn't good for the baby," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.
Aiden nodded, his eyes never leaving mine. "Oh right," he replied, his voice dripping with desire.
Aiden's eyes locked onto mine, and I felt a spark of electricity run through my body.
"Uhm... listen Hailey, we don't have to do this alright? You can ignore whatever mom is saying okay? This wasn't part of the contract and I'm sorry for dragging you into this," Aiden said, his voice low and husky.
But before he could finish, I locked my lips onto his, my body craving his touch. Aiden didn't protest, instead, he took my lips in like a hungry lion, his tongue exploring my mouth with reckless abandon.
I felt a rush of excitement as Aiden's hands roamed over my body, his fingers tracing the curve of my baby bump. "F*ck me," I mumbled in between my breaths, my body craving more.
Aiden's hands were gentle, yet firm, as he lifted me up and carried me to the bed. I felt a rush of excitement as he laid me down, his body covering mine.
As we made love, I felt flashes of the night at the hotel bar, the night I met a stranger and we had a one-night stand. The night that got me pregnant.
But as Aiden's body moved in sync with mine, I felt my thoughts fade away, replaced by a rush of pleasure. "Aiden," I moaned, my body arching up to meet his.
Aiden's eyes locked onto mine, and I felt a spark of electricity run through my body. "Hailey," he whispered, his voice husky with desire.
As we reached our climax, I felt a rush of pleasure wash over me, followed by a sense of calm. Aiden's body relaxed on top of mine, his chest heaving with exertion as he pulled out from me.
I wrapped my arms around him, holding him close. "Aiden," I whispered, my voice barely audible.
