Chapter 033
Aiden's POV
This past week had been a rollercoaster of emotions, but one thing was certain - it hadn't been all bad. My mom's revelation that she had been pretending to be paralyzed just to get Hailey and me intimate was a shocker, to say the least. But as I reflected on the past few days, I realized that getting close to Hailey had awakened feelings I thought I had long buried.
The memories of our intimate moments together lingered in my mind, and I couldn't help but crave more. The rush of adrenaline, the fluttering of my heart - it all felt so familiar, yet so forbidden. I had explicitly stated in the contract that there would be no feelings attached, but now I found myself catching feelings for someone I had just met.
Hailey already had so much on her plate, dealing with the aftermath of her accident and the mystery surrounding her pregnancy. The last thing she needed was for me to develop feelings for her. But as I thought back to our moments together, I couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something more between us.
As I delved deeper into my thoughts, I couldn't help but recall the excitement of being intimate with Hailey, despite her pregnancy. Her body was still radiant, and I had found myself lost in the moment, unable to control my desires.
But amidst the nostalgia, a faint memory lingered in the back of my mind. It felt familiar, like I had experienced it before. I tried to brush it off, thinking it was just a residual memory from my time with Sandra. We had shared some incredible moments together, and I had thought our connection was unbreakable.
But as I reflected on our time together, I realized that there were still some unresolved questions. Hailey's mutterings of "I remember" in her sleep had always left me with a sense of unease. She had brushed it off as nothing, but a part of me had always wondered if there was more to it.
I reluctantly agreed to let Hailey accompany me to work, despite my reservations about exposing her to potential danger. As we arrived at the office, Hailey asked me to go in first, saying she'd trail behind me. I agreed, and as I entered the building, I was met with a surprise.
Ava was waiting for me, her eyes pleading for forgiveness. "Ava, what's wrong?" I asked, making my way to the elevator.
"Sir, you have to forgive me on this one. I tried to stop her," Ava said, her heels clicking as she followed me.
"Forgive you for what exactly, Ava?" I asked, swiping my card to open the door to my office.
As the door swung open, I was met with a shocking sight. Sandra, my ex, was lounging on my couch, wearing her favorite bikini - the one I had bought for her on one of our trips. But instead of feeling nostalgic, I felt a surge of anger.
"Leave us," Sandra ordered Ava, her voice low and menacing.
Ava hesitated, looking at me with pleading eyes. "Sir?" she called out.
"It's fine, Ava. I'll handle it," I gritted out, my teeth clenched in anger.
As Ava retreated, I turned my attention to Sandra. "What are you doing in my office, Sandra?" I spat out, trying to keep my temper in check.
Sandra sauntered over to me, her eyes gleaming with a seductive spark. "Oh, come on, baby. You don't have to be so cruel. I know you love what you see," she purred, her breath hot against my ear.
I felt a wave of revulsion wash over me. "The only thing I feel right now is the urge to throw you out of my office," I snarled, trying to keep my cool.
Sandra's smile never wavered. "Ooohh. I think I like the sound of that, Aiden. How about you pounce on me right now, hmm?" she said, her hands reaching out to grab my hips.
I recoiled, my anger boiling over. "Don't touch me, Sandra. You have no right to be here, and you definitely have no right to touch me."
I spat at Sandra, my anger and disgust evident on my face. But she was undeterred, launching herself at me with a provocative smile. She tried to pull me in for a kiss, but I was quick to react, grabbing her arms and holding her at bay.
"How dare you," I growled, my voice low and menacing.
With a swift motion, I turned her around and marched her towards the door. I flung it open and pushed her out into the hallway, her bikini-clad body on full display. I tossed her clothes after her, my anger and frustration boiling over.
Just then, Hailey walked into the office, her face a picture of rage. "You!" she spat at Sandra, her voice hoarse with emotion.
Before I could intervene, Hailey pulled off her heels and began to spank Sandra on the butt, the sound of the impacts echoing through the hallway. I winced, knowing that this was not going to end well.
I rushed over to Hailey, trying to grab her arms and restrain her. "Hailey, stop! This isn't going to solve anything," I urged, trying to reason with her.
But Hailey was beyond reason, her anger and humiliation driving her to seek revenge. I knew I had to act fast, before things escalated any further even though the sight was quite a funny one to watch.
