Alexa "Mommy! We miss you. " The twins said, As soon as I accept the FaceTime from Brianna, "How are both of you doing? Did you be naughty?" I ask. "No, me good kids. Ask Aunt Banana. " Gabriella said, and I chuckled. "Gabriella It's Bri. An. Na. " Brianna tries to correct Gabriella's pronunciation, but she still says it as banana." I just laugh at it. Well, I trust you, but when do both of you want to go home, huh?" I ask. "Mommy, why didn't you come here? It's fun here." Gabriel said, and I raised my eyebrow. "Woah, you love to stay there? Alright, maybe you don't love me anymore." I pouted. No, mommy, we love you." They said it in unison. I smile at their cuteness. I talk to them for a few hours because I just realised that it's already dawn. So I decided to say goodbye to them. "We love you." They said it before I ended it. I miss them so much, but seeing them happy and staying there, I think it will be okay. I stand up from the couch and walk to the kitchen. "What should I cook today? Hmm..... " I mumble to myself. I put my phone on the counter and then opened the refrigerator to look up ingredients. I took out the ingredients and decided to cook a simple meal. I'm going to cook spaghetti, and that's the best meal I could think of. Before I start to cook, I go upstairs to get my rubber band and tie up my hair into a bun. Messy bun, I think. Yeah. After that, I'm ready to cook. I just put on my favourite song, Havana, while I'm cooking. I was humming and swaying my hips. This song makes my body automatically move into the Rhythm. "Half of my heart is in Havana, oh na na..." I sing. Just when I am enjoying myself cooking, I hear the doorbell. I have no idea who will come to my house this time. I wash my hands and walk to the door. When I open it, I see Jared standing in front of me with a bouquet of roses in his hand. "Jared? What are you doing here?" I am surprised when he's here. "I finished my shift early and decided to stop by. Oh, and I got you flowers; I thought you might like them." He said that, and I can't stop smiling at his sweet behaviour. "Did I interrupt something? If that's so, I think I should go then." He said. No, no, you didn't. I'm just in the middle of cooking something for dinner. We can have dinner together. Let's go." I take his hand and walk into the house. I put the roses on the counter and continued to cook. "The dinner is in the making. You should sit in the living room and rest a bit while I cook for you and me." "Why would I? I can help you with that. It's not a big problem. I know how to cook, and I was the best chef when I was in university. Everyone loves my cooking." I look at him and raise my eyebrows. "What? You didn't believe me? Step aside, my lady; I will be your chef for tonight." I moved aside and let him cook. "I can help. Besides, you are the guest, and I'm the one who should serve you. At least let me help you." "Sure, bae." I smile at him, and we start to cook together. "Finally, it's done," I said, looking at him. "Thank you for this meal. Now, let's go and eat. I'm starving." He just looks at me with a smile on his face. He then leans in, and I just let it be. A moment later, his lips collided with mine. I kiss him back. I wrap his arms securely around me and bring me closer to him. I kiss him, and this feels so different. I love to kiss him because I feel so peaceful and secure. Just then, I could feel my stomach growling. I push him away, and we stop kissing. "Did you just push me away?" He looks at me, and I just smile sweetly at him. "Even though I love to kiss you, the food is more important than anything," I said, taking a seat. I started to eat it. "Do you want some?" I ask him. Nah, I'm fine. I got mine too, by the way." He said, And eat it too. After a few minutes, I finish my food. "You eat so fast." He looks at my empty plate. "I'm just so hungry. Wait here, I'll be back after I wash this." Stand up and bring the empty plate to the sink to wash it. Just when I'm in the middle of washing the plate and the things that I used earlier, Jared comes behind me, and I might have a heart attack if he did that two more times. "Really?" "What?" He asks innocently. "Don't do that ever again. It's scared of me." He chuckles, and I take the plate that he holds and wash it too. After that, we both just walked to the living room. "Bae, sit here." He calls me and pats the empty spot beside him. I go and sit there. "I still wonder why you call me bae." "I love it, and besides, it's different and unique. I want you to feel more special than anyone else." I pecked his lips. "I love that. Thank you." I smiled at him. "Oh yeah, by the way, I have a brilliant idea." "And what is it?" "Let's go take Gabriel and Gabriella on vacation. I think it's been a while since three of us went on vacation. I bet they will love it. How is it?" "I don't think it would be a problem for me. I'm in." "GREAT!" I hug him, and he hugs me back. "I have an idea where we should go." He said this after we broke the hug. "where? Where?" "Well, it's secret, bae. You have to wait." He winks at me. Oh, come on, tell me. I will know where it is when the time comes, and besides, I'm the one who comes out with the idea that we should go on a vacation." I said. "Then wait until that time comes, and you will know it, bae. If that's so, You choose then. I'm going to be okay with anything." I just roll my eyes at him. "Okay, I will wait until the day comes, but I hate you." I said. "I like you too." He kisses my cheek, making me smile. I turned to him, and then he leaned in to kiss me. I smile and kiss him back. ***** The next morning, I woke up to see Jared sleeping soundly beside me with one of his arms around my waist. Well, if you guys think we did that thing last night, you're wrong because we're not. We just kiss and then go off to sleep. That's it. I slowly remove his hand from my waist and walk to the bathroom to take a shower. I felt bad leaving him alone like this, but I have to go to work now. I've been so busy lately because my fashion show is around the corner. I have to make all my designs perfect and suitable for everyone to wear them. I wear a blue blouse and black leggings. Today is going to be so busy, so I just decided to wear something casual like this. I take my heels and wear them. After I'm all done, I take my handbag and my phone to leave the room. I glanced at Jared, who was still sleeping, and decided to wake him up. "Jared, wake up. It's morning already. Wake up stinky." I said, and he started to open his eyes slowly. "I need more sleep." "And I need to go work now, stinky." "What did you call me?" "Stinky." I grin at him. "No, I do not stink. You are." "No, I'm not. Okay, now I need to go because I have a meeting in thirty minutes." "Fine, kiss me first, and I'm all up." I kiss him, and he smiles at me. "Okay, let's go." We left the house together, and I waved at him before getting into my car. I arrived at my company in twenty minutes, and now I only have ten more minutes before the meeting starts. ***** "Okay everyone, I need each one of you to think of one design and then bring it to me. Just make sure that's the design that you make suitable for the theme. That's all dismissed." I said that and then walked out of the meeting room. We had so much design, but out of 50, only 15 I can approve. I'm not the type to be picky, but this fashion show is important to me, so I need to make sure that everything is perfect, especially the dress. I take a look at my design, and then suddenly my phone rings. I picked it up without looking at the caller. "Hello," I said. Alexa, it is me. Are you busy?" It's Elijah. "Why did you call me? I don't want to know where you got my number, but what do you want, Elijah? I am super busy right now." I said I would still sketch my design. "Well, actually, I just want to ask about you, and how's your life now? I miss you so much, Alexa." I sighed. "Look, Elijah, can you stop with all this? You have Rebecca, and I have a boyfriend now. So stop calling me and tell me that you miss me." I reply. "What? You have a boyfriend now? Who is it?" I hung up the phone.
