Louisa sat there silently with a very tense feeling. She really never thought that this could be happen right now. Louisa had been tightly gripping the glass of her drink order, even though there wasn't any left in the glass. Louisa's eyes stared intently at Julian who was sitting opposite her. Louisa tried very hard to hide the fear that was starting to enter her body at this very moment. As for Julian, he was sitting there with a grin he hadn't lost since earlier. With both Julian's hands crossed in front of his chest, and sat back on the chair there.
"So? Shall we not discuss our work together right now?" Julian asked in a disdainful tone of voice towards Louisa.
Louisa raised an eyebrow, looking confused and unsure at Julian right now. "What do you mean??" Louisa asked while releasing her grip on the glass in front of her.
"Well... didn't you wait for Mr. Cole to discuss important work related to Tomkins House?" Julian began to move closer to the table.
"How did you know about that?" Louisa muttered. She felt pensive and unfocused. In fact, she also began to feel how her breathing was getting faster, with the beating of her heart right now.
'LoLo… LoLo… still as innocent as seven years ago." Julian muttered with a smirk that turned into an amused smile on his face. "I am Mr. Cole, Louisa. And yes, I can understand that you don't recognize me since we haven't seen each other for the past seven years."
Louisa widened her eyes. "You... You are Mr. Cole??"
Julian nodded his head faintly. Louisa tried to understand it, then then she started clearing her throat. "Don't mess with me right now, Julian. Everyone knows that Cole is not your last name. I could have called the police to arrest you again just right now…"
'Ufffttt… do you think that I'm scared because of that, LoLo? They won't catch me again. And by the way, I haven't told you yet, how I got out of prison…" replied Julian with a seductive expression on his face. He always likes to play games. Especially if it's related to Louisa. He liked her more and more. Julian had a big smile on his face then.
Louisa remained silent, waiting for Julian to continue. But the fire smoldering inside of her really made it unbearable at this very moment. "I don't want to hear anything from you, Julian. I thought I was done here. And I'll make sure that you're gonna back in prison just soon." Louisa muttered and prepared to leave from there.
"Wait a minute, LoLo." Julian gripped Louisa's hand tightly.
"Do not touch me." Louisa warned. Julian didn't listen to her at all, and instead tightened his grip on it even more. "Don't. Fucking. Touch. Me." Louisa warned again with her very sharp eyes.
"All right. I'll let go of you, even though I really fucking miss being able to touch you once again, LoLo. But sit down, and hear my story. Or, everyone might find out what our past was like. Of course, you would never for that to happen, would you?" Julian let go of his grip and returned the grin on his lips. Put on a face full of cunning there. "Moreover, I also heard from all kinds of news and also social media, that you are in a relationship with a man. And again, a bodyguard. Wow... really so unexpected. But that is indeed one of your typical, LoLo. You like men who are cheerful and full of charm. And I'm sure your bodyguard is one of them."
Louisa remained silent in her seat, with her palms tightly gripping her bag on her lap at this very moment. Seeing this, Julian's grin widened even more. "I'm sure you want to hear everything, LoLo." Julian spoke again.
'Don't waste any more of my time, Julian. Quickly to say everything that you want right now, even though I don't really care in the slightest about it." Louisa tried to contain her emotions.
Julian sighed. "Okay. I was out two years ago, LoLo. I have been searching for two years to meet you. Of course, it won't be easy in the slightest to be able to approach you with all the authority you currently have with Tomkins House. And also remember that I just got out of prison after five years in it. I needed a new identity, a new house, a new job, and new things. Luckily, an old friend helped me out of prison on bail, and also provided a lot of other help."
Julian stopped his speech, looked at Louisa to see the reaction that Louisa might have. But nothing. Louisa didn't react at all to what he just said there. 'Thus, after two years of struggling to find my identity and all the new things in my life, I was finally able to meet you. And for two years waiting for me to finish my first novel, isn't that great right? Because I finally got to meet you as Julian Cole. That is my mother's surname. But you might even have forgotten about that, because she died long ago, and we haven't seen each other in seven years either."
Louisa thought that she should never see Julian again at this point. She should have been able to find out first before actually meeting him. In her heart, Louisa really hoped that if Henry were there, maybe she would have left the restaurant and gone home early right now. She didn't have to endure sitting there listening to stories she was never even knew whether they were the truth or lies.
"Have you done right now???" Louisa asked in a cold voice.
Julian changed his facial expression to a flat one. Totally aware that it might just happen. Julian wiped the smirk off his face. And stared pensively at Louisa. 'I thought if I could meet you I would say a lot of things that I've been keeping to myself for the past seven years, LoLo. But you don't seem to care about that anymore."
Louisa slightly lifted her face. She really was trying to stay strong right now. Trying to get rid of every fear and trembling within her right now and then. "I really don't care one of bit. And yes, if that means you want to publish your book, even better, if you don't publish it at Tomkins House. I refuse this cooperation to happen." Louisa stood up from her seat and prepared to leave, but the few steps she took stopped her, and turned back to look at Julian who was still sitting there silently.
'And yes, make sure that you ar no longer interfere with my life or even Tomkins House. Enough of what you've done to me in the past, and I don't want any more of that damn thing in my life right now. I have found my happiness, together with my boyfriend. I've lost my happiness and freedom for years, and I finally managed to find it together just with him. And that's enough. I didn't even think about asking for anything else, while I was with him. So stay away from me, and all that has to do with my life, Julian Cole." Louisa warned, then turned back around and put her two feet there.
'I wanted to warn you too, LoLo."
Julian's voice stopped Louisa's steps, she turned back. Now Julian had stood up from his seat and walked closer to Louisa there. 'I warn you to be careful LoLo. If you think, I came to meet you in here, to take your life, then you are so fucking wrong once again. I have come, to warn you, that besides me, there are still many people you need to prevent from disturbing your life. And yes, of course we both know who it is."
Julian paused, causing Louisa to think for a moment. Of course he knew who it was. 'George Tomkins. A name that even just hearing it, will immediately make you understand about what I already said right now. Be careful with him, LoLo. If you think he's going to give up your power of attorney and Tomkins House, then that's your big mistake. He won't give up easily. And once you make him commit, it will be meant forever. If he really wanted Tomkins House, then he would keep trying to get it. It doesn't matter if it kills you, or even kills your boyfriend."
Louisa raised her right palm, as a sign to stop Julian's words there. "Stop it. Stop saying all the things that I already know. I don't need to hear it from you. Because I really know and know, between you and him are the same. And I would never want to hear a thing from your mouth, Julian. Because that's enough, for years I've listened to everything Mr. George to me to control me as well as Tomkins House. I fought for my freedom, and I got it. Because without all of that, my boyfriend and I would never be at a step like this now. Both of us will continue to walk in place, and will not develop at all."
Louisa paused, her breath quickening after saying all those things. She couldn't help but stare intently at Julian who was getting more and more dumbfounded at this point. Maybe he didn't think that Louisa would be able to say all these things. 'So if you want to warn me, then think about it once again, Julian. Because I won't be easily manipulated again like poor Louisa I used to be once. What you are seeing right now is Louisa Tomkins, a woman who will not be easily manipulated by anything. And yes, I'm the one here to warn you, Julian. You have to stay away from me. From my life. From my boyfriend. From Tomkins House, and all of my friends. You must know your limits, Julian."
Louisa turned around and slowly stepped back on her feet. "And I remind you again, that seven years ago, I was the one who got you in and languished in prison, Julian." Without turning around, Louisa said that and walked away, leaving Julian inside Lux's restaurant.
Julian was pensive and had no idea that Louisa would be able to say all these things to him. On the other hand, Louisa sped up her footsteps further into the parking area of the Lux restaurant, and hurriedly got into the car. Henry who was inside was suddenly surprised by Louisa's sudden arrival. "Hey, Babe. Are you okay? You look like you're being chased by something. Is someone bothering you right now??" Henry asked.
Louisa held her breath slowly, then tried to smile, and looked at Henry. "There is no one. I just want to hurry to go home with you, to enjoy the rest of the day relaxing together."
Henry widened his smile. 'That's good, because I have a new movie for us to watch together. It's getting more and like a simple dating at home." Then Henry started the car and drove slowly.
Louise smiled a little. She still couldn't say. Not if they aren't home yet. When the car came out of the parking area, Louisa could see Julian who had just gotten into his car and how he was pensive behind the wheel at this time. Then Louisa turned her head to Henry who smiled as he started the car. She was determined to tell Henry everything tonight.
'So, how was the meeting? Will the novel be published?" Henry asked, unable to contain his curiosity at all about it.
Louisa was silent and turned her gaze to the front. "No. I think the novel still doesn't fit the Tomkins House criteria. So, the novel will not be published here." Louisa said it because she had no interest in publishing the novel that had been written by Julian at Tomkins House.
Henry nodded his head slowly. "If that's what you think then it's a good decision."
'It is…" Louisa mumbled.
Then they were both silent for a moment. 'How about our house date tonight with a big box of ice cream? With our favorite taste first..." Henry gave an opinion and turned his head to look at Louisa a few times.
Louisa looked at Henry and a big smile appeared there. "That would be a perfect date, Babe."
