Louisa stepped firmly into the Lux Restaurant. Her eyes wandered around looking for Lenore who said that he was already inside the Restaurant. And yes, of course, choose a VIP table which is right in the side corner near the restaurant window. When Louisa finally saw Lenore, she quickened her footsteps and approached Lenore.
'Good afternoon, Lenore," said Louisa finally.
Lenore raised his head and smiled briefly before finally getting up from his seat. 'Good afternoon, Louisa. Please have a sit."
Louisa gave a curt nod and began to sit across from each other. "Henry, just put it next to me," said Louisa, looking up and looking at Henry who was standing beside her.
Henry immediately put the bag and some files he had brought right on the chair where Louisa was currently sitting. "Henry, you can just wait in the car now," said Louisa after that which immediately made Henry straighten up and slightly frowned.
Henry didn't answer right away and kept his eyes on Louisa who wasn't even looking at him right now. Henry even turned his gaze towards Lenore and Louisa several times in turn. "But Miss, I can't leave you alone," Henry finally answered.
Louisa slightly turned her head towards Henry. 'I won't be alone, I'm with Lenore after all. And we're in the Restaurant too, so don't worry about me, Henry. I'll be fine."
Henry didn't look happy about it, especially when he saw the smile that had been plastered on Lenore's face, and he couldn't help it. So when Henry saw Louisa trying to convince himself, Henry finally just nodded his head obediently and walked away from the Lux Restaurant to the car. After Henry's departure, Louisa refocused herself on Lenore.
'Okay, I don't want to talk anymore, Lenore. Let's discuss what's going on right now," said Louisa explaining her wish with her firm and flat tone.
Lenore nodded his head slowly and leaned forward slightly. "Okay, Louisa. I don't know how to explain it but what I will say is this is all Mr. George, and not me or my company."
"What you mean? Uncle George asked you to cooperate with Tomkins House, did you?" Louisa asked. She didn't understand anything at all at this point.
Lenore shook his head faintly. "Not. I mean, yes. It could be said that he was not only asking, but a little pushy. He came over to my parents' house and talked about the mutual agreement between Caldor Styles and Tomkins House. Of course, I've refused and so on. It's just that my parents agreed, because they and Mr. George intends to match the two of us."
"W-what???" Louisa whispered. She even stared in disbelief at Lenore who was in front of her.
Lenore nodded his head. "I've refused, because I myself already have a lover. Do you know? I will fight for the people I love. But it was useless because my parents were too excited about the idea of matchmaking and... another advantage they would all get from this relationship. That's if it happens later."
Louisa immediately massaged her forehead which felt dizzy. "Shit. I don't know what to think at this point. So Uncle George is indirectly selling me and Tomkins House for his and your parents' benefit, is that it?"
"Yes. And even so, I'm also stuck in that deal with you," Lenore answered desperately.
Louisa lowered her left hand and looked at Lenore doubtfully. 'Is the deal black and white? Official files and so on?" She hoped and really hoped. If it wasn't there, Louisa could still breathe a sigh of relief.
"There is not any. And I'm sure of that. After all, if there's a formal agreement, then my parents will let me sign as well. As a form of statement. Like a formality."
Louisa breathed a sigh of relief and a wide smile appeared on her face. 'Gosh… this is quite a relief for me."
"Louisa, now what we need to think about together is how to prevent this collaboration and matchmaking from happening," said Lenore which immediately made Louisa silent.
'You're right… after all this should be stopped immediately. I thought I'd get Uncle George to stop meddling in Tomkins House business. I will prepare official papers related to it. But as for your parents, I don't know…" Louisa answered firmly. Moreover, she had also thought about this very carefully.
'I will explain everything to them. Besides, they didn't really know the real Mr. George," answered Lenore which made Louisa frown slightly. 'I've seen how he treats Tomkins House like his own and you are just his puppet. And how he treat your lover, when you have an accident."
Louisa's face brightened instantly. "My lover?"
Lenore nodded faintly with an innocent look in his eyes. "Yeah, he's your lover, isn't he?" said Lenore as he looked out of the restaurant and pointed his finger at Henry who was seen standing outside the car, watching them with his piercing eyes.
Louisa turned her head and she could feel her face starting to heat up. "Not. I mean, no. He... is not my lover, he is the bodyguard chosen by Uncle George, "explained Louisa directly explained. She didn't want any misunderstanding there.
'Oh… I don't know. But when I see you and him interacting, everyone can think that both of your relationship is a couple."
Louisa was silent for a moment and slightly lowered her head. "Not something like that."
"Okay, Louisa. I have to go now. I have to meet my lover. And yes, if you need any kind of help from me, I'll definitely give you any help I can. Besides that, in the near future I have to meet you with my lover and parents. Do you know? To set things straight."
Lenore explained everything, and Louisa nodded her head. "Of course. I really appreciate your offer of help. I'm sure I'll need it later. And yes, we do need to take steps to straighten things out with your parents."
Lenore got up from his seat, followed by Louisa who stood up from her seat. "Of course. And bye, Louisa."
"See you later, Lenore."
Lenore stepped out of the Restaurant first. While Henry, who had been waiting for a long time, immediately stepped into the restaurant and saw Louisa who was trying to carry all the things with her left hand. Quickly, Henry took over the things and surprised Louisa. "Henry?" She muttered.
But Henry didn't say anything, he just kept quiet and carried all the things in his hands. Then stepped ahead of Louisa and got back into the car. As for Louisa, she just stared at Henry's back in confusion. Even after being in the car, Henry didn't even speak or look at Louisa. Henry seemed to shy away from Louisa a little. And Louisa, she doesn't even know what made Henry like this now. Henry's behavior made Louisa question mark. It seems, Louisa should be able to restrain herself from asking Henry.
