'I have already lost my mind for you, Louisa. And I really meant it." Henry whispered a moment after breaking the kiss that had occurred between the two of them there.
Louisa still closed her eyes. She missed all these things. She could feel his palms tightening the grip on Henry's neck there. She doesn't understand everything. It was as if magic had surrounded her, and she was lulled for the umpteenth time. And damn. It was so fun and thrilling. Henry directed his right palm to caress the side of Louisa's face. It suddenly made Louisa open her eyelids and there Henry could see how sparkling Louisa's navy blue eyes were right now.
"Please... Louisa. I know that you can give me another chance... just one more time. I won't dissapointed you anymore. I promise." Henry once again whispered.
Louisa's heart couldn't stop shaking. Is it possible to do it right now? Giving Henry a second chance so soon? Louisa's mind churned. She just couldn't change her mind so quickly right now. Not until she got the evidence herself. Louisa let go of Henry's arm, and took a few steps back. She couldn't stand herself. She felt so helpless. Then Louisa shook her head slowly.
"I... I can't. I still can't do that, Henry... Sorry," whispered Louisa in a low voice. Then immediately turned around and left the engagement party.
Making Henry speechless and transfixed for a moment. He felt lost and empty. Can't really describe how he feels right now. Besides, Louisa's hasty departure confused everyone in the party, including Lenore and Miliana. Without waiting any longer, Henry stepped on his feet quickly to catch up with Louisa who was already approaching her car. Louisa looks like she keeps her head down, to avoid the camera flash that keeps taking pictures of her. Henry deftly took Louisa's car keys, and helped Louisa into the car. Likewise with Henry who also got into Louisa's car.
Louisa was silent, still in a state of shock there. Henry started driving the car at a moderate speed. Neither of the two of them spoke. They were both silent. 'Why are you so eager to get a second chance from me, Henry?" Louisa asked after a long silence.
"I want to prove everything to you, Louisa. I already told you all of it. That I really love you and I'm in love with you. And neither of those things is a lie." Henry paused. 'I know that I'm not being honest with my contract, it's just that it's a difficult thing for me to do. I'm not a bad person, Louisa. I'm only bound by a work contract."
Louisa turned her head towards Henry who was focused on the street. "Is that an employment contract with Uncle George?" Louisa asked. Although he himself was not at all sure.
Henry took a deep breath. 'I… I still can't say anything related to the contract, Louisa. Including who I work with. I still need to do some other things to no longer be bound by that contract."
Louisa sighed and averted her gaze, staring at the scenery that was presented outside the car. "It's like danger always stalks you wherever you are." She muttered.
"I know that."
"Don't you think I'm hurt by everything that's happened right now, Henry?" Louisa stared.
"I know I've hurt you, by lying. About the employment contract and also Jane. It's just, everything that happened in the past, was the plan. Me and Jane just do what's in the employment contract. But when Jane overdoes it, it's a consequence she's going to face from our boss." Henry explained.
"What exactly is the outline of the employment contract, Henry?"
'Our job contract is basically to protect you, Louisa. If you think back, it wasn't from the person who was your biggest enemy… then think again about it, Louisa."

Louisa couldn't stop thinking about all the things that Henry had said to her in the car earlier. The other side of her said that Henry might be right and that she should believe in Henry. But the other side of her said that Henry might lie for the umpteenth time. And unfortunately, Louisa accidentally decided to be in the middle of the two sides of her right now. She couldn't think of anything other than that.
She turned her body to face the right on the bed. Looking straight at the night view that was presented from the balcony of her room. Everything looks calm with the moon and stars scattered in the sky. Louisa sighed, before finally sitting up and leaning on the back of the bed. She raised her right hand and gently massaged her forehead which felt quite sore. She's overwhelmed. Just be honest.
The situation she was in right now was really burdensome for her from all sides, compared to the situation she had been stuck with for five years with Mr. George, right now is pretty bad to deal with.
"I think, I've lost my mind too, Henry..." she muttered with a very resigned feeling.
Then slowly, Louisa got up from the bed, and wrapped the thick blanket around her body. After that she walked slowly out of his room, down the stairs of his house in the dim light. The steps of her two feet were very slow, she wanted to leave the house to her front yard to enjoy the atmosphere of the evening. But her footsteps suddenly stopped when she realized that Henry was asleep on the living room sofa there. Louisa remembered that since their arrival at the house, Louisa immediately left Henry in the car, and she went into the room. She hadn't the slightest thought that Henry would still be there.
Slowly, Louisa stepped back to her feet closer to Henry. Making sure that his footsteps didn't make the slightest sound. By sneaking. Louisa then squatted beside Henry, looking at Henry's face who was sleeping very soundly there with a calm face. Louise smiled faintly. Those two navy blue eyes could never be good at lying at all. Louisa then raised her right hand to gently stroke Henry's hair with a faint motion.
"I know that you do love me, Henry..." Louisa believed it, she started to believe a little more. "Just give me a little time to clear my mind, heart, and ego that have already been hurt."
After saying that, Louisa immediately got up from her squatting position, then moved to drape the blanket that originally covered her body, to be able to cover the sleeping Henry. Louisa put the blanket on slowly and carefully. And after making sure Henry was comfortable and undisturbed in his sleep, Louisa started to turn around again. Her intention to enjoy the atmosphere of the night, she failed.
"You know that I love you too, Henry..." He mumbled for the umpteenth time. Then Louisa walked back to her room. Now it looks like she's been able to rest well.

Louisa had just finished getting ready to leave for Tomkins House, when she realized that Henry had also just finished cooking in the kitchen. "What are you doing, Henry?" She asked as she walked closer to the kitchen area of her house there.
Henry lifted his face after he finished arranging the dishes he had cooked. "I'm making you breakfast, Miss." Henry answered with the cheerful smile he usually had on his face.
It made Louisa pensive. Then turned her gaze towards the dishes that Henry was cooking there. Louisa immediately cleared her throat, before finally sitting on the dining chair. Seeing this, Henry's smile widened even more, then started to prepare Louisa's food on a plate. "Then, I'll wait in the car until you finish eating, Miss." Henry muttered as he started to remove the apron around his waist.
"Why are you doing all this Henry?" Louisa asked while looking at the food that Henry had prepared on her plate.
'To get a second chance, I will do anything, Louisa. But after all, my job is to be your bodyguard. We both know that my agency is always watching my movements as your bodyguard, as well as your lover, Louisa."
"Then eat this breakfast with me." Louisa muttered once again. Then she started eating her breakfast slowly without waiting for Henry's answer.
Meanwhile, Henry started to sit on the dining chair opposite Louisa. Then they both started to eat breakfast together. For Henry, this is like the beginning of their relationship. And it didn't matter at all, because he was sure that slowly, Louisa would trust him again. It didn't matter how long it took Louisa to do it. Henry will still be waiting. Faithfully.
