Chapter 15 She is nobody to me
But the man didn't let go of her, holding her in his arms until she ran out her energy, then he stopped frowning.
Yolanda raised her head and saw the worry on his face. She was afraid that it was her delusion.
Her voice was soft, saying, 'Jonathan, tell me. Tell me that all of this is just a dream, please."
She was breaking down. It seemed that her world was collapsing and she didn't know where should she go?
'Speak." She was gripping his arms, trembling. Her eyes were full of upset and expectation, saying, 'Please tell me that you did not abandon me. Tell me that my father is still a live. Jonathan, we said that we would grow old together. You said that I would be the only one you love......"
'Jonathan." All of a sudden, a female voice sounded and interrupted her.
Yolanda was stupefied, slowly looking toward that woman. Lindsay was wearing a silk nightgown and a smoke gray shawl, coming downstairs elegantly.
She was smiling faintly and she looked elegant. Her appearance was quite opposite to Yolanda's which was quite confounded.
Yolanda's hands fell down from Jonathan' arms. Why would Lindsay be here?"
'Yolanda is here." Lindsay came over elegantly, with a charming and dazzling smile.
Yolanda clenched her fists silently without saying anything.
'Why are you standing at the door? Come in."
Lindsay looked like that she was the hostess of this house, natural and graceful, but Yolanda was like a stranger, a guest......
Lindsay hled Yolanda's wrists and took her in the living room. In the meantime, she was talking to Jonathan, 'Why do you keep standing? Yolanda just got here and her hands are cold. Go ask a servant to get her some hot tea."
Jonathan nodded. Seeing her go away, Yolanda began to look around the house. She had lived here for five years so she had already considered it as her home.
But this house seemed......different.
