Chapter 39 He missed Yolanda all the time.
'Don't worry." Wendy smiled, 'I have to wait for the inspection report and I think you're also waiting. So I invite you to have a cup of coffee."
Jonathan thought a while and nodded.
...
Wendy stirred her coffee and glanced at him from time to time. 'Mr. Field, do you feel sick?"
Jonathan looked out of the window and did not directly answer her question. So Wendy did not continue to ask while pressing lips.
Jonathan didn't say anything in the next time. He leaned there, just looking thoughtfully at the woman opposite him. He was looking at her, but it more like that he was looking at someone else through her.
Wendy was very uncomfortable about his look. She was embarrassed and took another sip of coffee, 'do you think I look like Yolanda?"
'No." Jonathan muttered, 'it's almost the same."
Once he thought that Yolanda and Lindsay were very similar, however they just looked like in eyes, Now this woman was exactly similar to Yolanda in all aspects, no matter her facial features or body shape.
'Mr. Field." Wendy noticed the mood in his eyes and carefully asked, 'are you missing Miss Morgan?"
Missing?
Jonathan was stunned, and clenched his fist to restrain the mood. He missed Yolanda all the time, which drove him crazy.
'Mr. Field..."
'Stop calling Mr. Field." Jonathan interrupted, and frowned tightly. After a while, he found he was a little excited so that he relaxed and said, 'call me Jonathan."
Wendy nodded, and muttered, 'Jonathan" then suddenly burst into laughter. She smiled so sweet that let Jonathan think of Yolanda thoroughly.
'Why are you smiling?" He asked doubtfully.
Wendy smiled, 'it's really wonderful. I never thought that I would have a chance to chat with you. Now I have the heart of Yolanda. Sometimes I can't tell that whether I'm Yolanda or Wendy when I'm with you."
Wendy's words made Jonathan a little stunned because he couldn't tell either.
But Jonathan warned himself not to make the same mistake again. He understood that how deep he loved Yolanda so he did not want anyone to replace her.
Holding her chin, Wendy looked out of the window. She still smiled, but there seemed something unpleasant in her bright eyes. Jonathan thought what was that. Lonely? Meditative? Longing? No, it's calm after experiencing too many things.
Jonathan could hardly distinguish, 'Yolanda..."
'Jonathan, cloudy now. It's going to rain." Wendy interrupted him and looked at the clock, 'I'm going to the hospital to get the report. What about you?"
She stood up and asked. Jonathan calmed down, 'I go home now."
'Well, see you."
Wendy put her coat on, turned around and ran to the door. Jonathan also stood up and looked at her. She was so happy that how could she be Yolanda.
If Yolanda was still alive, she should have lost all her enthusiasm for life.
But why...
Jonathan covered face. Why did he want to stay with her for more time? Why did he feel happy with her?
Were his feelings for Yolanda not as deep as he imagined?
Was he so cold...that just a woman who looked like Yolanda, he would like her?
Outside, it was raining heavily. The rain poured down in an instant. When Jonathan came out, he saw that Wendy was standing still to shelter from the rain. She seemed to be at a loss for the rain.
'I'll take you." Jonathan came to her side.
Wendy looked up at him and smiled reluctantly, 'thank you. But it's raining so hard. I'm sorry to bother you."
'It's OK. We are in the same direction." Jonathan paused then, added, 'if you run to the hospital, you will be a drowned rat."
Wendy couldn't help laughing, 'thank you, Mr. Field."
'Jonathan."
'Well, Jonathan."
Jonathan took her to the hospital and watched her run into it. He had planned to drive away, but when he noticed the heavier rain, he stopped subconsciously.
When Wendy came out with the report, she saw that Jonathan's car was still there, whistling at her. She ran to get into the front passenger's seat.
'Why haven't you left?" Before she finished, Jonathan had handed her a dry towel.
Wendy stunned, took over the towel with a little smile, and gently wiped the droplets on her hair.
'How is it going?" Jonathan did not answer but asked casually.
She stunned again, then said in a moment, 'just the same. It's good to be alive."
She seemed optimistic but also desperate.
Jonathan did't ask any more and drove her back to the hotel. Wendy waved goodbye and hurried out of the car. Then Jonathan lighted up a cigarette and smoked. However, he was still lonely as before. Wiping the cigarette butt and being ready to go, he found the mobile phone Wendy left.
Looking up at the hotel, he got out of the car with the phone.
