Chapter 23 She came here subconsciously.
Yolanda had no idea about how she came home. She had been lying on the for several days, having a pretty high fever. Then she regained consciousness and saw her mother, Fannie, was busy cleaning her up.
'Mom." She tried to get up, but she could not, so she lied down again.
'Don't move." Fannie noticed that she was awake and couldn't help wetting her eyes, pretending like nothing had happened, scolding her, 'Look at you. You have been lying on the bed for several days. You seldom come home. Now that you are back, but you also terrified me. I'm old now, and I could not take that shock any more."
Yolanda's temble was still aching. She frowned, saying, 'How did I get here?"
She could not remember what happened that night clearly.
'You tell me." Fannie gave a slight glare at her, saying, 'You knocked at the door on the early morning, shouting for mom. Luckily, I'm a light sleeper. I was shocked when I opened the door. It was raining outside. Why didn't you take an umbrella with you? And your shoes were gone. You were standing at the door, bare-footed, and got all wet. I then touched your hands and they were cold like ice."
Her words made Yolanda recall something. She had walked for several kilometers and then she recovered from Jonathan's heartlessness. She wanted to take a taxi but it was raining hard and it was late night and she had no money on her. She didn't see any taxi along the way and her high heels hurt her heels, so she had to take her shoes off. She had no idea about where should she go......
Then she came here subconsciously.
'Then, you started to have a fever which was serious and terrifying, but I could not carry you to the hospital. So, at last, I asked Doctor Snow for help......"
Yolanda paused for a while and asked, 'Doctor Snow?"
