Chapter 15: I Want To Marry You
"Vale, your friends are here!" Jenny's voice rang downstairs.
"Coming!" Vale looked at her complexion on the mirror once more.
Once she was sure that there's nothing wrong with her complexion, she finally walked out of her room.
She closed her bedroom door before she walked towards the stairs and raised her eyebrows in surprise when she saw Keith with his hands on plunged deep in his pocket, standing at the top of the stairs.
She wanted to ask him why he was still here when his hands draped itself on her waist.
Without looking at her, he guided her down the stairs carefully while the people downstairs stared in shock.
"Vava! Vava! We've come to visit you. George and I also prepared a gift for you." Georgiana grabbed Vale's thigh when she reached them.
Vale chuckled and patted the little girl's head, "Mn. Thank you, sweetie. I've prepared your favourites cookies as well."
Georgiana's eyes gleamed with delight imagining Vava's delicious Strawberry Cookies.
"Where is it? Where is it? I want to eat it now! Can I, Vava?"
Lisa gave her daughter a stern look, "Georgiana, behave!"
The little girl's happy bubble immediately deflated as she looked pitifully at Vale.
"Lisa, it's alright. I'm happy that she loves the cookies I made."
"Vava, what about me?" A small cute face appeared beside the little girl.
He looks up at her with a hopeful expression.
Vale couldn't help pinching his chubby face softly, "I made you some Ice-Cream Sandwich."
George's mouth immediately waters when Vale mentions his favourite waffles.
James and Salvatore chuckle, seeing the little twins behaviour around food.
Lisa shakes her head, helplessly, "You're spoiling them."
"I don't mind." Vale's mouth curled upwards.
Vale led them towards the dining room.
Keith walk beside her quietly and watch her interactions with the little twins.
His mind started conjuring thoughts about their future children.
Will they have a girl or a boy? Or twins?
He immediately shakes his thoughts away when he recalled what she told him yesterday.
In her eyes, he was just disgusting trash who'd lick the saliva that he had spat on the ground.
In her eyes, he was a bastard who can't understand her heart and mind.
He was a little surprise when he saw James and Salvatore walk inside the two-storey house.
After he got out of her room yesterday, he went out for a strolled around the house to calm himself down.
He was surprised when he realized that instead of the Mint Mansion (the mansion with robot and laser that Vale owned), Vale lives in another apartment, the Frost House.
Keith couldn't help but smile depreciatingly at himself.
It looks like she truly hated him for what he did to her six months ago.
His eyes couldn't help but turn red at these recent facts.
"Sad uncle! Why are you staring at Vava? And why do you look so so sad?"
"Huh?" Keith's came back to his senses when he felt a little hand, shaking his right arm.
He didn't even realize that he had sat down beside Vale on her right side.
"Yana-!" Lisa tensed when she noticed her daughter grabbing onto Keith's arm.
James stopped her from standing up and shakes his head.
Although Keith is dangerous, James believes he wouldn't do anything with Vale's present.
"Little girl, your Vava is so beautiful that I can't help staring at her." Keith softens his eyes as he gazes at the small adorable face.
The little girl giggled when Keith praised Vale, "Uncle sad, I want to eat with you!"
Keith stared awkwardly at the little girl who was waiting for him to lift her onto his lap.
He never encountered this kind of situation before!
Nevertheless, he still lifted her and sat her on his lap.
The whole table watched the interaction with interest. Jenny talked with the couple while Salvatore paid his attention to George's blabber.
The adorable girl kept talking to him, and Keith answers her patiently.
He was too engrossed with the little girl that he didn't even notice the doorbell rang and Vale getting up.
He lifted his face when he noticed the whole table went silent.
Vale walks in with a wide smile on her face as she walked towards them with her arms hooked with Xavier's arm.
Keith's face darkens, and he clenched his fist hard when Xavier sat in front of him with a smug look.
The dinner went with ease, although few of them could smell the vinegar and gunpowder mixing in the air.
All because Xavier and Vale were acting like a husband and wife taking care of each other.
Keith, on the other hand, could only watch as he serves the little girl in his arms.
The worst of it all, Vale treated him like air.
He was damn near exploding at the situation.
"Uncle sad, why is Vava's stomach so big?" Yana asked with curiosity in her eyes.
"Maybe because she drank too much water."...that she had become a fool to pair up with Xavier.
Keith continued in his head. The corner of his mouth curled up.
Jenny, at the end of the table, was shaking her head, trying to warn Keith about something.
Unfortunately, Keith didn't see it.
Vale choked on her saliva when he heard Keith's answer.
Is he implying that her mind is full of water, causing her to be muddleheaded?
She gave him a fierce glare only to see him feeding Yana with fruits, not even giving her a look.
Did she go too far?
She only invited Xavier out of good intentions. She treated him as a saviour and a friend, nothing else!
Vale knocked her head mentally.
She was thinking of explaining her relationships with Xavier!
"Poor Vava! Uncle, what should we do? We need to get the water out of her." Yana looked up at Keith with a pout on her innocence face.
The people around them rang up with laughter.
Keith's gave the little girl an amused smile, "No need. The water will come out automatically after a few more months."
However, the little girl was distressed, "A few more months? It must be painful for Vava to carry the water. If Vava felt painful, she can't make Strawberry Cookies for me."
A few drops of tear slid down her cheeks and made Keith stunned.
Her small lips trembled before her loud cry echoed inside the dining room.
Keith felt helpless.
He didn't know how to coax the little girl.
"Georgiana, if you don't stop crying, we'll leave now," James said when he saw Keith's pale face.
However, his words only made the little girl cried even louder.
Vale couldn't take it anymore; she was about to get up and take the little girl in her arms when Keith wiped the little girl's eyes, "I can make Strawberry Cookies too. If Vava can't make it, I will make it for you. But, you have to stop crying first, okay?"
He was surprised at himself when his brain registered his words.
Even Vale was stunned when she heard how gentle his words landed on her ears.
Yana stopped crying and sniffle, "Promise?" Yana made a pinky gesture.
Keith kisses the little girl head as he linked their pinky fingers together, "Mn. Promise."
Lisa and James watch the scene in astonishment and felt as if Keith had stolen their daughter from them.
"Uncle, I want to marry you when I grow up."
