"Get out!" A pair of slippers fly past Brett's head. Seeing that she had missed her target, Lexy holds her bulging belly as she picked the pillow on the bed and throws it at him. Brett dodged, and the pillow landed behind him. He looked at Lexy with a helpless face, "Babe, let's talk." "I don't want to talk! What's there to talk about?! Get out! Get lost!" Lexy's face turned ugly and uglier when she recalled what had happened an hour ago. An hour ago, they went out to a stroll at the park in the afternoon. It had become their habit to go out every afternoon to enjoy the fresh air. However, the serene view was interrupted when a woman appeared out of nowhere and approached them. Not only did she ignored that there was a pregnant woman beside Brett, but she also jumped into his arm and clung onto him like a koala. Brett tried to get the woman off of him but was afraid that she will be injured. He asked the bodyguard to take the woman off of him when the woman suddenly cried and shouted at him. It would be fine if she cursed and insult them but instead, she said that she was pregnant with Brett's child. The woman called Maya said that she met him in the Empire's Nightclub a months ago. Lexy recalled that Brett didn't come back that night after their fight and he only came back in the morning with a hangover. This made her more confident that he had cheated on her. Thus, the current situation. "I really didn't know her. You know that I went out with Igor that night and we both came back together in the morning. We sleep at the Rose Hotel that night. If you don't believe me, you can ask Igor." Only now did Lexy realized that she hadn't asked Igor about this. Giving Brett a fierce glare, she sat on the sofa and reach for the phone on the table and immediately called Igor. "Hello?" "Igor, it's me." Igor just came out from his meeting in the company when Lexy called. "I want to ask you. One month ago, you and Brett went to the Empire's Nightclub. Did he made contact with a woman called Maya?" Igor coughed and silently laughed. What did Brett do this time? This is Igor's first time seeing a couple fought so many times and still loved each other. "Maya? Who's that?" he asked back. After all, there were a lot of women that tried to get close with them that night. But, he couldn't remember any of their names at all. "She said that she met Brett that night. Where did you both go after coming out of the club?" Igor frowned. "We went to the Rose Hotel." Lexy breathed in relief, "I see." "Why? Is this woman giving you a hard time? I can help you." Igor offered. Lexy was about to refuse when she recalled that the woman also brought a picture with her. "Yes, please." She hung up and realized that Brett had sat beside her. She tried to move away from him, but Brett pulled her into his embrace and hugged her tight. "Let me go!" she struggled to get out of his embrace. "No...baby, that's enough. How many times should I tell you this? No matter how many problems come at us, I will never ever let any of it hurt you. I love you, and I will never hurt you." "You hurt me once," Lexy stated. Brett stiffened, "That's because I didn't know what actually happened." "At that time, I was already 3 months pregnant, and you still want to kill me because I betrayed the gang." Brett hugged her tighter, "I didn't know you were pregnant, and I didn't know that you were forced by your father to steal information for him. If I had known, I wouldn't have hurt you." "But, there's no if in this world. Things already happened, and you already did it. You force me and almost caused me a miscarriage. Not only did you not admit hurting me, but you also accused me of cheating with another man." Brett felt a hot liquid on his arms and immediately panicked when he saw her tearing up. "I'm sorry...I'm sorry..." Brett wiped her tears and kissed her forehead repeatedly. His heart ached when he saw her tearing up. "I can understand it if you want to find someone else. After all, in this world, I have no other families. I only have this baby. If you want to have a family with someone else, I don't care. But, please let me have this baby." "Nonsense! What are you talking about? In this life and the next life, I, Brett Carsons, will love you and only you! I will never leave you!" He declared loudly as he gave Lexy a stern and determined look. Lexy pursed her lips. Men truly have their way with words. Although her heart melted hearing his declaration, she was still on guard at him. The phone on the table in front of them rang. Seeing that it was Igor, Brett took the phone and answered it before putting it on speaker. "We're listening." Igor raised his eyebrows in surprise. It seems like they have reconciled. "Maya is the daughter of Alex Glenn. He and I are enemies. I'm sure they're trying to use you to go against me. I'm sorry for the trouble." Lexy finally breathed in relief. So, that was it. "Thank you, Igor." "Well, It's nothing." Igor hung up. "Hear that? I've never cheated on you." Brett looked at the woman beside him and couldn't help but boast. Lexy didn't know if she should cry or laugh. Did he really need to boast about this?
