Chapter 27: China

"Where are you going?" Nancy grabbed her purse on the sofa, "I'm going out." Caleb's face darkened, "You want to go out with that mad dog again!" "None of your business!" Nancy ignored him as she put her red high heels on and walks out of the mansion. "Nancy!!" Caleb yelled in frustration. After she left, the temperature inside the room gradually turned colder and colder by the second. If anyone were to enter the room, they would be petrified on the spot. The glass on his hand cracked before it landed on the floor with a loud crash. Caleb clenched his hand hard, ignoring the pain caused by the glass fragments. ‘Knock! Knock!' "Come in." Yu Lihua entered the room and immediately sucked out a breath of air. She ignored the shiver on her spine and walked to the window, opening the curtain. The sun's warmth seeped out from the window. "Why did you open the curtain?" Caleb grumbled in annoyance. "Why are you freezing the room?" Lihua rolled her eyes. Caleb glanced at the Chinese girl standing at the window. If he were an ordinary man, he would've of fallen in love with her at first sight. Her long black hair flows down her back. Her eyes stared at Caleb calmly, but if one were to look closely, they would find a fierce and sharp look. Her lips were painted in red and made her look lustrous. She was tall, and one would dream of that voluptuous body day and night. She was dressed in a sexy black off-shoulder dress and a black high heels boot. "If you keep staring at me, I would think that you've taken a fancy on me," she smirked. Caleb scoffed, "Why are you here?" "This is my house, and I'm bored." Lihua pursed her lips when she saw his bloodied hand. "Correction, this is your father's house, and your boredness is not my problem." Caleb leaned back on the sofa and was about to drape his bloodied hand on it when Lihua steps forward to block his hand. "What are you doing?" he grumbled and withdrew his hand. "You broke the glass and stained my carpet with your blood. Do you want to stain the sofa too?" "Correction, this is your father's carpet." Lihua's face turn black, "My father's house is my house!" "Oh, so you're a papa girl!" he raised his eyebrows in a mock surprise. "I'm not!" she stomped her feet in annoyance. "Whatever you say," he smirked. "You-! I'm going to tell my father about this!" she strode towards the door. "Okay, papa girl!" he waved at her. "I'm not a papa girl!" she screamed. Lihua's whole face was covered in red. One couldn't tell whether she was furious or embarrassed. She walked out of the room and slammed the door shut before stomping away. Caleb's laughter rang loudly inside the room. His gloomy mood was finally lifted after the ‘papa girl' arrival. He stood up and walked towards the bathroom to take care of his hand. His phone rang after he finished bandaging his hand. His mouth curled up, seeing the ‘papa girl' on his phone screen. "5 minutes. Accompany me to go out." Lihua hung up after that simple instruction. Caleb sighed. Well, he's free anyway. He walks out of the mansion and saw a black BMW car waiting at the entrance of the door. Lihua throws the car keys to him before she slides into the passenger seat. Shaking his head, Caleb got into the driver seat and drove out of the Yu Mansion. Four black cars immediately followed after them. They were the Yu family's bodyguards. "Where are you going?" "XX shopping mall." Caleb was already used to Lihua, the Yu family's only daughter's, ordering him around. Well, since they were dumped here all of a sudden without money and a place to live, it's only right for them to do some works as a payback. Caleb isn't a fool. No one is willing to give foods and a place to live for free without getting some benefits. He woke up in the morning and found out that he and Nancy had landed in China. He had no way of contacting anyone in New York, and every time he wanted to go out, a bodyguard will be sent to follow him. Sure, the Yu family never mistreated them, but it was like living a life like a canary in a cage. Caleb truly hated the person who sent him here. Well, he was elated at first because he can cultivate his love for Nancy. However, his plan was destroyed when they met Liam Magdon, the mad dog, or Nancy's ex-boyfriend. He was pissed off as hell. Nancy once told him about Liam about how they ended their relationship in a friendly term. ‘Friendly term, my ass!' "You're freezing me again!" Lihua's shout made his thought fly away. Caleb glared at her, "What are you shouting at? I'm right near you, not across you!" Lihua's face turned black, "I've called you several times! You're the one who was daydreaming! I don't want to get into an accident because of you!" "Fine! Keep shouting! The louder, the better!" Caleb sped up in annoyance. Lihua finally shut up as her body tenses, "S-slow down..." she gripped the seatbelt tightly. Caleb parked the car at the VIP car park, and they got out of the car. Lihua dragged him from shop to shop and passed the shopping bag to him. Caleb walked inside the jewellery shop with a long face and looked at his full hands with an aggrieved look. However, the ache on his body and heart was lifted when he saw two familiar faces. One belonging to Nancy and the other, Liam. They were chatting and laughing happily as they observed the jewellery introduced by the salesgirl beside them. Anger surged through his heart when he saw that they were standing at the ring section. "Caleb, here!" Lihua waved at him with an excited look. Nancy stiffened when she heard his name. Instinctively, her head turned around and saw Caleb walking over to Lihua, who was busy choosing a necklace for herself. Looking at the amount of shopping bag on his hand, Nancy's face turns darker and darker. *** After spending money for a whole day, Caleb and Lihua finally arrived back at Yu Mansion past 7 p.m. He walked back to the guest room and saw Nancy's red high heels beside the door. He walked to the bedroom and noticed that Nancy was nowhere to be seen. "Ahh!" Caleb immediately strode towards the bathroom when he heard a loud crashing sound. "Nancy?" he knocks on the door. Nancy leaned over the bathtub as she bit her lips. Sweat dripped down her forehead as she pressed down on her stomach. She was preparing to take a bath when she felt it. Why does ‘it' have to come at this time?! "I...I'm fine..." she replied weakly. It was silent for a moment. "Open the door." "No!" "Hurry up!" Gathering her strength, she wrapped a bath towel on her body before opening a small crack on the door. "Move." Nancy bit her lips and open the door wider as she hid behind the door. Caleb walks inside the bathroom and saw the blood on the floor and looked at the pale-faced woman. He yanked her over and scanned her body for injuries. Nancy could feel her blood raising to her neck and face. At the same time, a red liquid slid down her legs and made her stiffened in embarrassment. Caleb saw it too and immediately concluded what had happened. He walked to the bathtub and filled it with warm water before lifting her up. He tugged at the towel, but Nancy gripped it tightly between her fingers. "What are you doing?" Nancy panicked. "I'm helping you bath. What else?" he frowned. Nancy's face turn redder and redder by the second, "No need! I can bath by myself." "Stop being stubborn." "No!" Caleb sighed, "Fine." He turned around and was about to left the room when Nancy tugged at his sleeves. "Can you go and buy that ‘item'?" Nancy felt like crying. This is too embarrassing! He turned around, "I'll ask Lihua if she has some." Nancy's eyes turn cold, "No!" Caleb sighed, "Why?" "I don't want her things!" "Nancy-" "Get out!" "Nancy-" "Out!" Caleb walked out and changed his clothes before driving out to a nearby pharmacy. The cashier was a bit surprised when he only put four packets of tampons of the same type on the counter. Normally, a guy would buy a bunch of types of these because they don't know which one to buy. "Sir, are you sure that you only want these types?" Caleb long nose appeared, "My girlfriend told me she likes these types." Of course, Nancy never told him. He just happens to see these types on their bathroom countless times. Caleb went back to the mansion and knocked on the bathroom door. "Are you done? Your item has arrived." Nancy had just finished drying herself off when he knocked. She wrapped the towel around her before opening the door and receiving the ‘items'. Caleb went out of the room and to the kitchen. He asked the maid for a thermos and glass before filling the thermos with warm water. He went back to their room and put the thermos on the coffee table before he leaned back on the sofa and closed his eyes, feeling drained. "I'm done." Nancy walked out of the bathroom, and Caleb went to take his needed shower. Nancy noticed the thermos on the coffee table. She walked towards the sofa and sat down before pouring out water into the glass. She smiled when she noticed that the water is warm and gulped it down in satisfaction. Then, she went back to the bedroom and climbed onto the huge bed. Caleb walked out of the bathroom and noticed her tossing around uncomfortably. He only put his boxers on before he got onto the bed and pulled her towards him. Nancy was startled by his movement and wanted to move away when his hand rubbed her stomach. Warmth seeped from his palm to her entire body, and the uncomfortable pain on her stomach was long forgotten. Nancy snuggled closer towards his warm body and fall asleep within seconds.
