Chapter 25: He deserves it

"How's your stomach? Is it still hurting?" Keith rubbed Vale's stomach nervously. "No." Vale leaned deeper into his embrace. Her eyes had turned red from crying, and her sniffle could be heard from time to time. Old Nianci had long slipped away, tactfully giving the room to the couples. There was a medium wet spot on Keith's shirt, but it didn't bother him at all. He felt like he hadn't hugged her for ages. So, what happened today made him exceptionally happy. He wrapped his arm tightly around her and couldn't help but sniffed her fragrance silently. Hmm...what a refreshing fragrance! They sat embracing each other for a few more minutes in silence when they heard a loud growl. Keith's mouth curled up when he heard it once more. He looked down at the flush woman in his arms in amusement. "I've never heard such a loud growl before. Did you have a wolf in your stomach?" he chuckled. Vale leaned away from him and glared, "Wolf? Isn't that your baby? He felt your hands on him and immediately growl. He's warning you to stay away from him." Keith pinched her cheeks lightly before kissing her lips. "Nonsense. Our baby knows I can cook. That's why he growled. He wants me to cook for him." Vale's eyes flashed when she heard this, "You're still eating homemade food? Then, why did you order those takeout?" She remembered that he doesn't like eating outside foods. Keith was taken aback for a while. Then, his mouth curved upward in satisfaction. ‘She remembers!' A kiss landed on her forehead, catching her off guard. "I stopped cooking since you left. My assistant will test the food for poison before he sent it to me," he explained. "You trusted your assistant very much. But, what if he were bribed or threatened to poison you?" Keith held her both of her hand and kissed them gently, "I'm not afraid. If I'm not willing to die, even the grim reaper couldn't have his way with me." Vale wasn't satisfied with his answer. However, a loud growl interrupted them again. Keith got up, amused, "Wait here. I think Aunt Nianci had prepared breakfast in the kitchen just now." Not long after that, he brought the breakfast that Aunt Nianci had prepared to the living room. They ate silently. Vale leaned back on the sofa after eating. Patting her satisfied stomach softly. "When are you going to release them?" Keith turned to look at her. If she still didn't trust him- Vale chuckled, "If they heard you right now, they'd tear you apart." It looks like he was impatient when he asked those question. But, Vale knows that this matter cannot be dragged further. To avoid trouble, it would be best if she explained everything first. "Why?" Keith was quite confused. "I admit that I asked people to kidnap them. But, I actually sent them overseas to cultivate their love." Vale smiled, revealing two sharp canines and her eyes glints with mischievousness. Keith raised his eyebrows in surprise, "Overseas? Which country?" Even his connections overseas didn't catch any wind about his subordinates. Vale smirked as her nose pointed to the ceiling feeling proud, "Dylan and Jenny are in Paris. Jenny discovered that she's two months pregnant and wanted to abort the baby because Dylan is missing. So, I sent her mother and her to Paris. I asked them to get a marriage certificate first to fulfilled her mother's wish." Sighing, she continued, "However, after they got the marriage certificate, her mother passed away a weeks after that. They were unwilling to have a wedding ceremony without all of us. So, they will arrange it after coming back." "How did you manage to send them overseas overnight?" Keith had been mulling over this for a while. He knows that she had developed the gang that Lance O'Brien once rule over. But, he only managed to get a few information about her gang. She must have made a lot of connections for the past six months. "I've got connections," Vale confirmed his thoughts. "What about the others?" "Brett and Lexy are in Russia. I wanted to separate them at first. She and Brett had been arguing for the last few months. But, I discovered that Lexy was four month's pregnant. So, I asked Igor to protect them while they were in Russia." "Igor?" Keith glared at her. Vale know what he was thinking and flicked his forehead, "What are you thinking about? He's my future brother-in-law!" Keith breathed in relief as he rubbed his forehead. "Caleb and Nancy are in China. You know that Caleb loves Nancy, right?" Keith nodded, listening attentively. It felt like he was listening to his wife gossiping about other people. Vale sighed, "I hope that their relationships would improve this time. I heard that they've been quarrelling for sometimes now." Keith's ears perk up, "They're quarrelling?" Vale nodded and frown, "Mn. My subordinates said that it was about some guy called Liam Magdon." "Liam Magdon? Tch!" Keith's mouth twitched in amusement. "Why are you laughing?" "You don't remember? Liam Magdon is Nancy's ex-boyfriend." Vale's eyes widen in surprise, "Liam, the mad dog? What's he doing in China? This can't happen! I have to transfer them somewhere else." "No need! It's better if Caleb had someone to compete with. You know how that shy guy will never open his mouth and take actions unless he feels threatened." Vale smacked his arm in dismay, "Don't talk nonsense. If Caleb lost to that mad dog, how are you going to compensate him?" "No pain, no gain. Don't underestimate us men so much. If we want something, even the slippery fish can't escape from our hands." Keith smirked. Vale rolled her eyes. "Jake and Mitchell are in New Zealand. They live pretty well together." Keith sat up in alert, "Why is my sister together with him?" "They've liked each other since they met. Why can't they be together?" "She's my sister! I don't agree. Bring them back." Vale gave him a stern look. "Keith...She's not a child anymore. She can think for herself. What if my brother separate me from you? Do you want that to happen?" Keith grunted but agreed with her. "What about Blake?" "I sent him to Spain together with Kenzie. He attracted a lot of women, but my subordinate said that Kenzie shooed them away." "That's all?" "Uh-well...my subordinates in India said that he needed a new punching bag. So, Kayden..." Keith shakes her head and chuckled, "I bet he didn't last long. His company wouldn't last long, either." "I would have turned a blind eye on him if he didn't provoke me again and again. He cheated on me. Then, he conspired with Mia and Selena to kidnap me and sent me to Peter's dungeon. After that, he also helped Mia and Sherry to arrange an accident for me a few months ago."
