Chapter 19: Fatherless
"Dark Hunter!"
Not even a minute after he spoke, hundreds of people dressed in red and black appeared before him.
"Master!"
All of them kneeled on the vast field.
"Get up."
"I've decided to take over. I hope none of you won't disappoint me."
"At your service, master!"
Keith nodded in satisfaction, "Good! Find these people for me! Whoever crossed me shall die!"
He took the bunch of information on his hand and handed it to the woman in front of him, Kiana Peros, the Deputy leader.
"Yes, master!" the paper was distributed in seconds before they disappeared into thin air.
Keith heaved a sigh.
Dark-Hunter was a group of people that he and his grandfather, Old Noel owned.
They were a group of people who plead loyalty to the Klugman family.
They have been trained for years, and now, their skill will be tested.

"Damn it!"
CRASH!
The maids cowered in fear when Eric throw the glass on his hand at the wall.
He sat alone in the dining table with a dark expression on his face.
His wife was mad at him, and Keith escaped his punishment.
Blake and Mitchell were missing, and the gang was crumbling down.
How could he not be furious?
"S-sir! Bad news!"
A trembling man approached Eric.
Eric grunted, "What is it?"
"All of our firearms factory was destroyed!" the man had his head lowered as he spoke.
"What did you say?!" Eric stands up abruptly.
"O-our firearms...fac-factory had been burned..." ...to the ground. He wanted to continue, but his tongue was tied in a knot.
Eric's dark face turns charcoal hearing the news.
"Who did it?! Which bastard dares to mess in my territory?!"
The man felt his leg went jello.
How would he know that?
"I...I don't know...sir!"
"Get out!"
"Sir, bad...bad news!"
Not even a minute after the first man left, someone else came running to him.
"What now?!"
The man wiped the sweat on his forehead as he panted, "Our...drug factory was destroyed..."
Eric's face turns darker and darker by the second.
"Who did it?!"
The man limbs trembled as he stepped back a few times, "I...I don't know, sir."
"You useless fool! Why didn't you think to investigate this first before reporting?! Get out!"
The man didn't even wait for Eric Grey to finish his words before he left the room in a flash.
"Get me my phone!" Eric fumed.
A maid scrambled forward and gave the phone to Eric with a trembling hand. Eric grabbed the phone and slapped the maid in irritation.
"Leave!"
The maid scrambled away as she held her swollen cheeks with tears on her eyes.
She never expected that a day like this would come. Sir has never acted like this before. What changes?
Eric Grey scrolled down his contacts before pressing on the dial.
"I need your help. Someone breached my territory and destroyed my factories."
The man on the other side of the phone was stunned.
"I'm sorry but have the same problem here, Eric. Is this your so called-plan for the future? When is your son going to marry my daughter?"
Eric pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration, "Lint, It will be done. I'm sure I can convince him to do it later."
Lint River went silent for a few seconds, "But, I'm not convinced. They were supposed to get engaged several months ago. But, where did Keith go? Not only he ignores the marriage arrangement, but he also stopped my daughter from coming to see him."
"Now, my daughter is pregnant with his child. But, he didn't even give her a chance to be with him. What do you think I'm feeling now?"
Eric's eyes flashed. Keith never went out of this mansion straight for six months because...
"...Eric? Do you hear me?"
"Yes?"
"Three days. If you still can't convince your son after that, forget about our alliance and your so-called future."
"Deal," Eric gritted his teeth before he hung up.
"Aaah!" he kicked the chair beside him, hard.
He walked out of the door and pointed to one of the guards at the door, "You, go and find out Keith's whereabouts!"
"Y-yes, sir!" the guard scurried away.
"And you! Go and find out who destroyed the factories!" he pointed to the other guard in front of him.
"Y-yes, s-sir!"

"...Ugh..."
"Jenny?"
Jenny opens her eyes slightly confused.
"Vale?" she felt dizzy and nauseous.
She sat up slowly and held her pounding head in her hand.
She noticed that this was the guest room that she stayed before in Vale's house.
"What happened?" she asked Vale who sat on the bedside chair.
"You fainted. I called someone to bring you up here." her eyes glee with excitement.
"Why do you seem so excited after I wake up? Did something happen while I was gone? You don't seem worried about me." she frowned.
Wasn't she supposed to feel worried about her?
"Of course, I'm worried about you! But, I'm very excited for you too!"
"Why? Did I produce gold when I was sleeping?"
Vale grinned, "Close but no."
Jenny gave her a ‘hurry up and tell me' look.
"Okay, fine! You're producing a baby. Isn't this amazing? If my baby is a boy and your baby is a girl, let's get them married!"
Jenny burst out laughing after she heard Vale's words.
Vale's grin vanished as she glared at the laughing hyena in front of her.
Seeing that Jenny didn't have the intention to stop soon, she gritted her teeth and slapped Jenny's arm hard.
"Ow! What's that for?" Jenny rubbed her arm as she glared at Vale.
"I'm not joking! Why are you laughing?" she gave her a serious look.
"You...you're not joking?" Jenny's brows furrowed, seeing her serious expression.
Vale nodded, "I called my private doctor just now, and she confirmed that you're two months pregnant."
"Two months...pregnant?" Jenny touched her flat belly unconsciously.
A glint of happiness appeared before her eyes before it dimmed.
"Hey! You're supposed to be happy!" Vale frowned.
"Does it matter? Dylan is missing. How am I supposed to be happy?"
She looked down at her bellies as she murmured, "I'm afraid my baby will be fatherless in this world. If that's the case, why should it be born to bear that pain?"
Vale was stunned, and she unconsciously rubbed her bulging belly.
Will her baby be fatherless too?
She can give her baby everything in this world, but could she give it a father's love?
