Chapter 23: So Scary!

Vale halted her moves and could only watch as Keith change her clothes. Her face flushed red when he looked at her naked body. However, Keith didn't react at all. He put her on the bed in a sat up position, changed her socks and covered her legs with the blanket. He glanced at his watch and pursed his lips when noticing that Aldo hasn't arrived yet. A knock rang out from the door. "Come in." The door open and Aldo stride in a hurry, "I'm sorry for being late, sir." he lowered his head guiltily. "Why were you late?" he asked gloomily. "I encountered some accidents on the way here." Aldo panicked slightly. "What did you bring?" Vale asked when she saw the stern look he gave at his assistant. "Ah! This is the food that sir asked me to order." "Food? Leave it on the table. You can go first." Vale dismissed him. Aldo looked alternatingly between Keith and Vale. "Why are you looking at him? You want your bonus to be deducted?" Vale looks sternly at him. "Thank you, mistress!" Aldo slipped away from the room before Keith had the chance to stop him. "Why are you ordering my assistant around?" Keith turns to look at her. Vale rolled her eyes, knowing that he just wanted to find a topic to banter with her. "I'm hungry." she glanced at the packet of food on the table. Keith set up the table attached to the bed before he put the foods on it. Vale's eyes twinkled, and she licked her lips, waiting for Keith to serve her all the food. They were boxes of Strawberry muffins, egg tart pancake, Tiramisu sandwich, grapes, porridges... Keith pulled out a cheese ice cream from the packet. Vale waited for him to put the boxes of ice cream on the table when Keith put it back inside the packet. "I want to eat that!" Vale protested when Keith put the packet away from her reach. "You don't want to eat all of this? Okay..." Keith lifted the muffins to put it back inside the packet when Vale grabbed his hand, "Fine! I'm eating! I'm eating!" Keith put the muffins back on the table before taking out the Chinese noodles and dug in. "Geez...so stingy..." Vale mumble as she opened the packet of porridge. "I heard that," Keith replied. Vale immediately shut her mouth. *** "I'm sleepy." Vale leaned on the headboard after finishing the foods. Keith put the boxes back into the packet and set it aside before he picks Vale up to the bathroom to wash up. After that, he picks her up once more and put her on the bed. He covered her body with the blanket. He was about to move away when she held his wrists. "Are you going home?" "What? Can't I even go home now? You think you can control me?" Keith shakes his hands off. "You don't care about me?" Vale's eyes sting. Keith scoffed, "Why would I care about someone like you? You never trusted me. You disgust me!" He left the room and closed the door with a loud bang. Vale sobbed for a while. Determine, she wore her sandal and moved out of the room and out of the hospital. You hypocrite! You obviously care about me! She got into a taxi and asked the driver to send him to the Lotus two-storey house, another property that she owned. She asked the taxi to wait before calling for the housekeeper to pay her fare. Old Nianci went inside the house and saw her mistress drinking water in the kitchen. Her eyebrows furrowed when she saw how Vale dressed. "Madam...why did you come back here so late? Is the Frost House not comfortable?" Vale pursed her lips, "I suddenly wanted to come here. Aunt, didn't I tell you to call me Vale? Why are you calling me Madam again?" Old Nianci sighed, knowing that Vale wouldn't come here all of a sudden. There must be a reason. Well, she was just a housekeeper. She can't poke her nose into her mistress's business. "Aunt, I'm sleepy. I'll go to sleep first." Old Nianci nodded and watched as Vale went to the guest room downstairs. Now that she's pregnant, it was easier if she is downstairs than upstairs. *** Keith walked back inside the room and noticed that something was amiss. The bed was empty. "Shit!" He ran out to the security room and tried to find where she went 15 minutes ago. The CCTV show her coming out of the room and walk out of the hotel. He went out of the security room and immediately drove back to Frost House. He called Aldo to investigate all the properties that she owned on his way. After checking the empty Frost House, he drove around the city and checked all of her big properties. He concluded that she must have gone to one of her small properties. One is in town and while the other is out of town. Keith didn't hesitate before he drove to the ones outside the town. He stopped his car beside the gates before he walked out. Two guards approached him. "Who are you? No one is allowed to enter the property!" the guards pull out their guns. Keith smirked before dodging the bullet coming his way. He knocked them out before he grabbed one of their hand and put it on the scanner to open the gate. He walked to the entrance door, noticing that there was no one guarding the house inside. He was about to kick the entrance door when an old lady opened it in fright. "Who-who are you?" Old Nianci asked in horror. Obviously, she had heard the gunshots outside. "Where's Vale?" Keith strode into the house. "You-you...This is against the law! You're breaking into people's homes!" Old Nianci trembled when the man stares at her coldly. "Where's the woman who escaped with my child?!" Keith roared. Old Nianci stepped back in fright. This...this...could he be the man that impregnated her mistress? So scary!
