Chapter 18: He's not Answering?
Vale pursed her lips when the phone call was cut off.
"He's not answering?" Jenny bit her lips as she paced back and forth.
If she knew this was going to happen, she would go into the house despite Keith telling her not to. She should not have left Keith when he was in danger.
"No," Vale sighed.
Jenny and Keith just left the Frost House an hour ago. She was surprised when Jenny came back and told her what happened.
"I shouldn't have left him..." Jenny sat down as she rubbed her forehead.
"Don't blame yourself. I'm sure he'll be alright." Vale's eyes flashed with guilt for a second.
"I wish I could agree with you. No. I don't know if he'll be alright. Dylan is not answering my call and Nancy and Lexy. None of them picks their phone up no matter how many times I called them." Jenny sniffled as she wiped the tears on her cheeks.
Vale stiffened when she saw Jenny's red eyes and pale face.
"I don't even know if...if they're alive..." hot tears streamed down her cheeks.
Her heart would ache when she thought about it. Her mother was waiting for them to get married. Now that they're were engaged, he suddenly disappears!
Their weddings would be held two weeks from now!
How would she face her mom?
Tell her that her fiancee disappeared and she has to marry someone else?
Dylan has been the person she relies on for the past six months!
The only person she has ever let into her heart!
How could she marry someone else?
Vale sat silently on the sofa as she observed Jenny's reaction.
She and Jenny never really interact especially for the last six months. Actually, she never interacts with any of them for the previous six months regarding the contract that she signed.
How could three years of hardships can compare with what she had experienced for the past six months?
Being used as an object for one night and thrown out in the morning. It would be alright if he didn't say anything hurtful at all.
She would understand if he explained to her. But sometimes hoping too much is dangerous.
She thought he understands her and wanted to wait for her to explain everything.
She trusted that he will let her handle her own matters. Guess, trust gets you killed.
It would be alright if he married someone else. Anyone but Sherry River!
She would be happy if he married someone worthy of him. But, a two faced-bitch like Sherry is a no.
But, he would rather marry someone who, once upon a time, left him alone, waiting.
Vale couldn't tolerate this matter.
She and Keith never confessed to each other. None of them has ever said the three golden words at all. All they've got is the attraction.
But, why would it ache so much when he said he would marry Sherry?
Why would she felt uncomfortable when she saw him with someone else?
Why does she feel sorrow whenever he was down?
Why does she care about him so much?
Vale's eyes burn as her heart, ache inside her chest.
If it wasn't love then what is it?
She wondered if he had ever loved her at all, aside from his little affections.
"I'll get my man to investigate this matter," Vale muttered as she picks her phone on the table and texted James to investigate Keith's current condition.
She didn't expect that someone would cause trouble as soon as the high-rank members of Black Rose disappeared.
In fact, is someone were to cause trouble to Keith now, Vale would be glad that she wouldn't have to dirty her hands doing the work.
However, Keith's life shouldn't be harmed.
She wanted him to suffer heartache!
She wanted him to feel helpless and alone!
She wanted him to feel the pain of abandonment!
"Thank you. I'll go home first. If you have some news, please let me know..." Jenny stood up as she wiped her tears.
She walks towards the door when suddenly she felt light-headed. The last thing she remembers was Vale calling her name out.

"So, what actually happened? Why did he punish you?"
Old Noel sat beside his bed with a dark expression.
When the family doctor arrived to treat Keith's injuries just now, Old Luna immediately rushed to the bathroom to puke.
His back was almost unrecognizable.
Blood covered his back and some of his skin and was gone.
It would probably take months for him to recover.
"I'm not sure. I was gone for a few days. I stayed at my friend's house because I have a fever. When I went back to the mansion, dad immediately punished me. He said that the gang had suffered when I was gone."
"It seems like our high-ranked gang members were all missing. I don't believe that they would betray the gang. It's impossible. Why would they do that? I'm sure something must've had happened when I was gone."
Old Noel frowned, "But, they are all high ranked members. How is it possible that all of them disappear at the same time? They've been trained since they were young. Who can defeat all of them at the same time?"
Keith pondered for a while. He thought of every single one of his enemy that could pull out this kind of attack. However, none came to his mind.
"The person who did this must have planned thoroughly. He's not that simple."
Keith nodded in agreement, "I just hoped that he wouldn't harm them." he mumbled.
"What would you do now? Are you going back to the base? Who can support you now?"
Keith's look out of the window.
"Maybe it's time to use them..." Keith whispered.
However, Old Noel still caught it.
He was taken aback.
"Are you sure?" his eyes gleamed excitedly.
He had waited for ages for this to happen.
"I don't have a choice. Dad wouldn't support me. Even my siblings were taken away. There's no time to waste."
