CHAPTER38
"Lee?" I whispered just to confirm if I was dreaming or not because my eyes believed it but my body refused to.
I just stayed in the same spot, too shocked to move as mom, dad and everyone hugged him like their life depended on it.
My heart couldn't contain what I felt. I couldn't believe it.
He looked freshly shaven, taller, a well-defined jaw and wow, he looked nothing like the brother I had. Speaking of brothers, Logan is going to flip.
As I started at him while everyone ran to meet him, I realized how much time we've been apart and it became clear to me that I have missed so much from his life and so did he.
Seeing him this close brought back so many memories, memories that I held on to when he went missing and now, we'd be making new memories because he's actually back.
"Are you going to keep crying like a child or are you actually going to come give your brother a hug?" Lee said snapping me from my thoughts. I didn't even realize that I was in tears.
I couldn't even think of a comeback to give him because my mind was so clouded. I walked up to him, smiling in tears and gave him the biggest hug I could muster up.
It felt so good to be in his warmth again and I absolutely missed it.
"As much as I enjoy hugging you, I must say you've gotten stronger by the way you're crushing me" he laughed, gasping for air so I released him.
"First off, do you know how happy I am that you are here with me?" I smiled and released him from the hug and continued "And secondly, what the hell is going on here and what are you doing here? Not that I don't want to see you but-"
He smiles in satisfaction "I'm more than glad to be here and I really do have a lot to say-"
"Then start talking mister" Mum cut in.
He laughs lightly then clears his throat "Starting from where Gabe left off, I was the one Eriel used those drugs on for some reason. I don't remember anything from a certain point because the memories of what happened the day I was taken away three years ago still faint.
I only remember being confused and practically homeless as I had nothing on me so I began job hunting even though I didn't know who I was at that time. No one wanted to hire me because I didn't even know my name so it was quite hard.
One fateful night, I ran into very dangerous men who were ready to kill me in an instance. By that time, I lost hope because there wasn't any way of figuring out my identity considering the fact that I was living on scraps for two years so I just let them toil around with me and eventually, they left me in a pit of my blood" I gasped.
"I woke up to a strange room and honestly, I thought I was already in heaven that was until Michael came inside and told me that he just saved me from dying.
I began to feel better so I asked him to get me a job and he did even though he knew nothing about me.
When I went for the interview, I was met by Gabe and Michelle who were the owners. They recognized me in a heartbeat, but I still couldn't remember anything.
Gabe finally took me to test and that was when he found out that his creation was used on me. So he made a reversal to the drug and made me stay in a lab for a few days. Man was I bored."
Gabe chuckled
Lee continued "I got my memories back at some point but a little part of it is still vague. I introduced them to Michael then we decided to lay low for a while then make our way because Eriel's one sneaky man. And the only way to get more information on Eriel was to blend with the crowd so Michael volunteered. Changed his whole identity just to help us. So that's about it"
"God, you are the worst at explanations" Melia announced and I couldn't agree more with her.
"Wait. If Aiden or Michael came to get some information and watch Eriel. Why did he want to leave so quickly?"
"Because I found out exactly who he was" An unexpected voice called out before everything went black.
