I slapped her across the face. 'WHAT ARE YOU SORRY FOR ARIA!?" The sound of a blaring siren flooded the premises. Jasmine was carried away by the medical team, and they took Jevan as well. The police officers who accompanied the ambulance, arrested Aria and found the weapon she had used to shoot Jasmine in the back. EJ and I followed the ambulance in our rented car. I paced a hospital ward again, my eyes flooding with tears and a banging sound was in my head. 'It's going be okay bro. Jasmine and Jevan would pull through this. They'll bounce back quickly," my brother comforted me. 'How could I have not saw this coming? My son is in a state of trauma at just two months old," I said as the tears slipped out my eyes. EJ wrapped his arm around my shoulder and led me to a chair in the waiting room area. After five long hours, two doctors came up to us. 'Evan Hollen?" 'Yes," I answered. I lifted up my head and wiped away the tears. 'I'm Doctor Harvey and this is Doctor Johnson. We have news on your son's condition and your...." 'Fiancée," EJ inputted. 'Fiancée's condition," Doctor Harvey completed. 'We've managed to retrieve the bullet and stopped the bleeding but the bullet had made a penetrating reach. It almost reached her right lung. This means she was shot at a very close range." 'Oh god. Is she going to be alright?" 'Yes Mr. Hollen. She's going to pull through just fine. There will be swelling and pain around the wound but it should end gradually with the medication and painkillers we'll provide. In your son's case, he is okay. There's a small bruise on his forehead which means he had an impact there, so we've conducted a head scan and it showed he's normal. We'll bring him to you in a few minutes." 'Thank you so much doctors. I greatly appreciate this," I said. 'Just doing our jobs Mr. Hollen." Jevan was placed in my arms after another twenty minutes. His big bright eyes looked at me directly in mine. He gave a small smile and closed his eyes after. I held him up to my shoulder and I felt his small hands hugging me around my neck. 'He does look like you bro, and you two are bonding instantly," EJ said as he looked on at us with a smile. 'Yeah. I can't believe how stupid I was." 'Man don't put that pressure on you. Aria had everyone fooled. You just need to let that go and look forward to the future with your kid and your new fiancée." We shared a small laugh. 'I don't think she'll ever forgive me," I said. 'Just think positive bro. Jasmine still loves you." 'Mr. Hollen, your fiancée is awake," Doctor Johnson interrupted, but with great news. 'Can I see her?" 'Sure." I handed Jevan over to EJ and followed the doctor towards Jasmine's room. Jasmine's POV I woke up on a hospital bed. I knew where I was instantly because it was the one place I hated. 'Jasmine Blackman, how are you feeling?" A doctor stood inside the small room and was looking at me. 'I feel like my back is under attack." 'That's because you were shot in your back. Do you remember being shot?" flashback Aria aimed the gun to Jevan's head but I quickly turned myself around and the bullet penetrated through my back instead. I hit the floor, with Jevan underneath me. End Of Flashback I nodded yes. 'Okay. Your fiancé is here and he's coming to see you now." Fiancé! After five minutes, another doctor ushered the so called fiancé into my room. Of course! Evan Hollen. They left us in the room alone. 'Hi," he started. 'How are you feeling?" 'I'll be fine," I answered. 'You told them you were my fiancé, Evan?" 'Yes I did." I scoffed. 'Jasmine. I'm really sorry for everything I did to you. I'm sorry for not believing you and for not giving us another chance. I'm sorry for putting you out my house along with my child. I'm so sorry. Words can't describe how sorry I am really." The tears welled up in my eyes. 'Evan, just stop. This doesn't change anything between us. I don't care how sorry you are, I just don't. This never would have happened if you had just listened to me." 'Jasmine please....... Let me.... " 'Stop it. This thing is over. Me and you are over. It was over for me the moment you put Jevan and I out your house and sided with your FIANCEE! The same woman who set her ex-boyfriend to attack me in my apartment when I was pregnant with your son! He made several steps closer to me and got down on his knees next to the bed. Tears in his eyes too. 'Jasmine, I want to be there for you and Jevan.
