"Awww! Are you feeling jealous?" I taunted her with my words and denoted she smirked at me, "sweetie!! Don't try to get on my nerves and for the record, Stay away from Fredrick". Rina's weird attitude got me a little pleased, I believe someday her insecurities will end her up in peril, I smiled my way into the kitchen. The next morning, I got up feeling a little bit hazy, I grumbled out from the room and strolled over to get the pills box kept in the storage room, my feet ambled further but halted when I walked past Rina's bedroom and took noticed the door was left wide open. I got a feeling to move in and search through her things. I followed that strange voice and sneakily gained access to her bedroom without anyone knowing about it. Rina's things were laying around, her suitcase was kept aside and when I opened the wardrobe, a pillbox drops to the floor. I picked it up and saw it was a contraceptive pill, why would Rina have this here?. It will only mean that bitch, isn't pregnant and if I am correct, contraption pills are used to prevent 85% of expected pregnancies and whatever Fredrick said the other day, may or may not be true, there might be a slight chance that Rina isn't pregnant. (Someone approaching towards the room) I got myself under the bed to avoid getting caught, the person walks in " Where are my pills?". Rina spoke out. I noticed that the mentioned pills were still with me, quickly I moved them afar as she veers back immediately. "There you are?" She says. I had no idea what the facial expression on her face was, but I felt relieved she didn't notice the presence of someone else in the room and the moment her feet faded away, I rolled out and disappeared. Thereafter, I walked downstairs, Fredrick was seated at the dining table, working on his laptop, father was seated at the front porch reading his favorite daily newspaper, while Chris was talking on the phone and speaking of the devil, Rina was seated at the living room, busying herself on her cellphone. I needed to find a way to smoke out the truth if Rina was pregnant or not, but how?. "Sophia! Are you okay?". Chris walks to me. "Come with me" I moved him away from prying eyes and ears, denoting the truth of what I saw a while ago in Rina's room. "So!! What do you wish to do, is there a plan?". He asked. I jerked my head and answered, "yes!! I need to see if truly Rina is pregnant by doing a qualitative HCG blood test, the test checks to see whether any HCG is being produced". Chris got lost in my words, I continued talking by breaking it down to his understanding, I said "what I mean Is, it is done to check if a woman is pregnant or not". He nods and said he would take care of it. "Oh!! I see, that all you need is a sample of Rina's blood?". He asked, "yes, Mr. Chris" I answered back maintaining the exact look on my face. "That's simple, wait, I will be back". Chris strolls back to the living room without giving me a slight idea as to what he had planned, I stop and watched from a far distance, Chris purposely bumped into Rina. She falls to the ground. Fredrick and their father looked back the moment they heard noises. Fredrick ran the moment Rina was found on the ground. "Hey! Can't you see, what is wrong with you?" He shouted at his brother. Chris apologized for not being able to see her. Fredrick ignored and turns to Rina, "baby!! Are you okay? Is our baby okay?". She nods her head. " We are fine babe!! Don't worry too much. Rina says and noticed the bloodstain on her arm, I believe it must be as a result of Chri's action, Rina might have injured herself unknowingly. Chris sees that. "Oh my goodness, Rina, you're bleeding, please hold on". He brings out his handkerchief and cleaned the bloodstain on her arm. He takes his leave and while riding away, tossed the handkerchief to me.
