Chapter8.

Two hours after the doctor left. Father sat next to me in the living room, he dips a sad look on his face, glaring at me. I whirled and said, "urgh! Why that look dad, It's not as if I am dying right?". He tries to brighten up his face,  when a masculine voice asserts, "hello my lovely family, Who missed me?". Father and I veered and saw Chris, Fredrick's younger brother standing at the front door, immediately he run over and hugged father. He looks down and finds me weak., "oh my goodness, Sister in law!! Are you okay? What happened?". He asked. However before I got a chance to speak, Fredrick takes him away. "Brother, You're finally home". Fedrick rushed down, wearing a huge smile, I watched and saw how happy he was to see his brother. Rina walks downstairs too, Chris turns his head and took notice of her, he repaid his eyes to his brother and inquired who she was. Fredrick immediately choked on his words, and if that wasn't enough, Mr. Khan walks in on us, seated in the living room. He says" Good day, Mr. Ricardo! Mr. Fredrick, The papers are finally here". I jerked up from the couch and father asked me not to speak, he looks at Fredric who has no clue what he meant, and foolishly invited the lawyer in the presence of Chris, who had no clue what was going on. "Welcome Mr khan! May we please have the papers?" Fedrick pulled out his hands. Chris's curious and asked, "what papers,  what's going on, And who the heck is this lady standing before us?". (Waits to hear a response from us) Father walked further and dragged him upstairs. I had no idea what they spoke about, but I believe the truth will be made known. (A few minutes later) Mr. Khan handed over the divorce papers to me, he says, "please sign here?". I moved my eyes down and saw the exact place he wanted my signature to go to, I lessened my grip, and the moment I tried to pin my signature, Chris yells out, "Sophia! Don't sign that paper. He rushed over and tossed the papers to the floor, angrily grabbed Rina by her wrist, and forcefully dragged her to the front door. Fredrick wasn't happy, he went after his brother and stopped him. "let her go!! Right now". The fury In his eyes got Chris mystified, he shouted, "brother!! Can you please take a good look at yourself? You're fighting for a woman, who not only destroyed your marriage but will eventually lead us to doom, Are you crazy? What has come over you?. Fredrick turns his eyes away and falls them on me and said, "what has come over me? I fell in love with a wonderful woman, that's what happened and please before you anger me the more, why not ask your beautiful sister-in-law, what and why this happened?. For the second time, he puts the fault on me, Chris gets upset and tries to grab Rina again. Frederick however pulls her away and slapped his younger brother. We all froze, startled by his behavior, father immediately retaliated by slapping Fredrick in return.
