Chris Rick POV I stormed into my room after the heated conversation I had with Sophia, and the annoying comments of my brother, how can she say such hurtful words to me, I do know everything that happened was a mistake but I don't have to be tagged as the bad guy. (Frowns) Son! Are you okay?". I was deep in my thoughts that I didn't notice when father walked into the room, "good morning dad" I said reinstating the same look on. Father walks close and said, "are you okay?". I shook my head but he grins and playfully slapped it. "Do I look stupid to you, and before you try to lie to me, let me tell you that, I am your father and I know when something bothers you, so tell me, what's up?". He dragged both my ears. " Fine!! I will tell you but please let go of my ears" I cried out. He lets go and I explained what happened between Sophia and myself. (Inaudible conversation) Thereafter, he says and I quote, " can I ask you a question?. I shook my head and he admitted that whatever happened between us was indeed a mistake, however, he had this feeling I didn't mind it did. Father had this feeling I got a soft spot for my ex-sister-in-law. I smiled and had to recall his memory that Sophia was my sister-in-law, however, er father groaned and said. "You mean ex-sister-in-law". (Continues talking) "Son, I wouldn't mind if you end up being with Sophia, she's a nice girl, and rest assured the best daughter-in-law, a father-in-law could ever ask, and trust me, she's a rare gem, that deserves another shot at happiness". He accepts and walks outside. Sophia POV The same day, I figured a stroll will do me good, I moved towards the garden when shortly a voice muttered out and it sounded like Rina talking on the phone. "Hey!! Don't try to get on my nerves and also it isn't your first nor second time, you're doing this," she says through the phone. I tried not to get caught as I walked close. "Look, I need you to do this and besides, it's not a charity organization, I am going to pay you, so don't act like, it's a fucking favor," She added. What exactly as she planned. while I tried to move forward, I accidentally activated the sprinklers, which gave her the notion that someone was there. She veers back and saw me, "urgh!! Sophia". Her tone sounded like she wasn't happy, seeing me eavesdropping on her conversation. "Rina" I stole the same look she had on. "How much did you hear me say?". She asked. "Do you want to know?". I answered. "Okay, I guess you already know that I am planning to murder Ricardo at the celebration coming up in a month". Rina wiggled her eyebrows at me. "What celebration?" I asked. "Aww!! Don't worry much my love, and yes, be prepared for a show of your life". She smiles her way out. There was a trait of farce in her voice to me, as I watched her leave why Rina was hell-bent on getting rid of her father, what relationship do both shares?, I'll have to find out. Without hesitation, I rushed off, in an uptight demeanor into his room. "Father!!". He turns his gaze back and double-checks if I was being chased by a ghost, which startled him. "What's going on, is anything the matter?". He became tensed wearing a solicitous look. "Father, Rina is!!". I said. I had no option but to tell him about her scheme, which alone seemed to have gotten him twice as worried before. "Oh Saint Louis, when will this end". He lets out a whiff of dismay swelling his eyes to the cupboard placed by his left-hand side. Father brings out a document and handed it to me. I read and saw it was the property papers. "Why give me this father," I asked. "my dear, I do not know, who to trust anymore, even my very own son, proves to be a threat to me". He continues talking. "And now, I believe it's time to finally tell the truth, I have been hiding from everyone, but first promise me, no matter what happens, you will never let anyone lay his hands on these documents". The fear in his eyes got me mystified, it felt like father was going to die at any moment from now, or maybe talking to him about Rina's plans got him anxious and not in a good way. "Father listen to me, nothing of the sought will happen to you okay". I gave him my words, yet he still ordered I take possession of the documents. (Inaudible conversation, as he finally air's out the truth to me) "Oh! My goodness". I said in dismay "I know, it came as a shock to you, but please, I cannot let Rina, destroy my family". He grabbed my hands. (Proceeds further) "I trust you will keep this save" he adds. "Yes father", I made a promise. Afterward,s, I left. Now I know why Rina is hell-bent on destroying my father, I walked down and Chris comes out with his suitcase. "Chris! Where are you going too?" I asked. "I got a call from work!! I need to go head over". He explained. "Work, that means you're not coming back anytime soon?" I added. He nods and walks away without looking back. I know you must be wondering, what works, I'll tell you, Chris Rick, works at an airline company as a pilot, and in all the odds, they had to call him back now? What the hell am I going to do?. Before then, he met with his father, father asked him if he was leaving because of me. Chris promised that wasn't the case and said he would come back once he is done.
